Honda's OEM for a reason

This tire, along with the Dunlop F24, was OEM on my 1994 Honda Shadow VT1100. After 24 years, and countless miles, they have never failed me. I have always been able to depend on Honda products. Their selection of this tire, for use on their products, demonstrates their knowledge of what works.

K555 Dunlop Rear Tire

Motorcycle Superstore's prices are excellent and shipping is excellent as well. I am very happy with this tire. I drive a Kawasaki 1700 Vulcan Classic, it is a heavy bike and I wanted a good tire to support the weight. Excellent handling, stability, cornering, traction and wet traction since I live in Florida, it is a must. -Robert

DUNLOP K555 OEM REPLACEMENT REAR TIRE

The tires are a first set that I had to replace from the original ones on my 1994 750 Magna with 10,000 miles. The ride is great from cornering to passing to just feeling the road better. I wish I had these tires when I got caught in the snow. I may have not slid around as much. But no matter I will be ready for the winter this time. I will have to see how long they last.

As always, Dunlop tire reliability and quality. But must commend the excellent service and speed of shipping from Motorcycle Superstore. We will definitely order again.

Good tires

Both tires are 2005 Honda 1100 OEM type tires which I had good overall service ....I got 11000 miles average per set on my third set now. Never quite down to the wear bars before I replace them. I ride from Daytona Beach to the mountains. Getting ready to go to Blue Ridge Parkway!!!!

More miles!

I read some of the reviews where people were happy with 8000, 9000 miles out of this tire. Maybe I just got lucky or I don't ride as hard. I don't know, but I got a little more than 12,000 miles out of my stock k555 before it needed to be switched out. Sure, it was just about completely bald lol. Yeah maybe SHOULD have been changed at 9000. But, there was still plenty of tread on the sides. Most of my riding is on highways on the way to work and back.

Recent Purchase

Have had these tires only one month so its too early to report on wear. Seems like a solid tire, both front and rear.

Dunlop K555 OEM

Tire shipped through in a few days and was in excellent condition, no cracks or dry rot in side walls. OEM tire for PC800.Best price I could find anywhere. Rated tread life a 3 because Dunlop sport touring tires just don’t last long but they do hold the road great.

Junk - Out of Round

Purchased two of these from mcss and both were out of round, but you cannot tell this until you pay a shop to mount them. The Honda OEM was a decent tire, but these replacements were not manufactured correctly, or from same compounds. Not sure where mcss is getting these from, but they are junk.

Decent tire

95 miles per day in LA on the 10 freeway year round, no cornering, no rain, no big curves. I got just over 13k out of this tire but was way past the wear marks. At 10k they should have been replaced but like I said no rain no cornering and straight line driving. Wish the new Commander II fit my bike those things last forever..

Dunlop

I had asked my friends at the Motorcycle shop which tires they would put on their bike. They gave me a scenario. They told me I would get more mileage out of some of the other brands but that the Dunlop’s had the softest rubber to grab the road in dry or wet conditions. I ride year round in all weather conditions just because I love it and the Dunlop’s grab the corners from scraping floorboard to floorboard.
