Maier - Rear Shock Cover - 2008 BMW R1200GSA
Didn't like the water spray on my legs and was looking for an economical solution to the pricey BMW side panels. After a little research, this guard seemed to fit the bill. Fit was good, installation was easy and done in minutes. Looks like it will keep most of the forward and side spray from the rear wheel to a minimum. Wondering if there will be any noise/vibration from it? Have had good past experiences with both Motorcycle Superstore and Maier products.
HiFlo oil filter.
Tried this oil for the first time on my BMW R1200GSA in the 2014 season. Always used the BMW OE filters prior. The HiFlo filter performs the same as the BMW filter does- without a moment of concern. Fits my fluted filter wrench and the bike perfectly. Only difference between the OE and the HiFlo appears to be the price point. Ordered more for 2015/2016 seasons.
Acerbis Driller (Valley Center, KS)
Good looking plastics but the shrouds needed drilled out to fit. Old hardware and the new bolt kit I bought were both too big to fit through the plastics. After a little creative drilling, which I thought was ghetto for a brand new set of plastics, we were all back to good. The little spacer washers won't stay in if you go too big on your drilling so it is better to go a little less and heat up the plastic to make it fit and stay like the OEM hardware. But they did look nice once installed.
Well machined and attractively finished. Perfect fit.
I put a new Motion Pro clutch cable on my bike and I am happy with the smoothness of the cable when I pull in the clutch (much better than before). I cant say anything about durability cause I just put it on but everything about the smoothness, cost, finish and quick delivery times leave me a happy camper.
