2 piece safety flag

Flag is good quality and strong. The first time out my wife went under a tree and it stuck in the branches without breaking.

It installs e-z, and e-z to get off and clean ... but ...

Everything others have said about the filter is true, but I just noticed an oil drop under my bike in the vicinity of the filter (2012 Road King - doesn't leak). Discovered the filter was at least a full turn loose. I know I installed it tight, but not over tight. I'm wondering if re-using the rubber o-ring could cause it to come loose. I will keep an eye on it. They give you one extra, then they want $5!!

Good bars, horrible paint

Bike: 2009 Suzuki DR200SE Bars: Black in CR High Bend. These bars are slightly taller, wider and more swept back than the stock DR200 bars. Almost perfect size for me. The knurling is the perfect width for the Suzuki bar clamps. The biggest negative is the absolutely horrible paint, even for a $19 bar. It's soft. So soft removing the bar code with your fingernail will scratch it. Fortunately I actually use my bike or I would care about the finish. If you're looking for a cheap bar and don't care about good paint, then this will serve you well. If you want durable paint step it up and buy something else (Pro Taper SE comes to mind). I bet if it really bothered me I could probably strip and paint them with rattle can Krylon and it would be more durable than the factory paint.

Yuasa

Installed a new Yuasa in my DR650 last February. Now, 5 months later the battery will not hold a charge. I've always thought of Yuasa as one of the best of what is available on the market. I guess I just got a bad one. I'm beginning to believe there are no really good motorcycle batteries on the market.
