Power Commander 3, Don't Listen To The Bad Reviews!!!
The only people that gave poor reviews of this product seem (to me) to be people with limited mechanical aptitude and little knowledge of what this item is intended to do. The instructions aren't written out for a 2yr. old no, but they provide pictures of exactly what you need to do. What more could you ask for? If you think you are going to install this piece and all of a sudden have a 200hp race bike, you are mistaken. This item is made to allow you to TUNE your fuel to air ratio in each cylinder. If you don't know exactly what that means and how it affects your engine, you probably don't have any business trying to install it in the first place. $300 for the ability to tweak your engine's performance yourself seems well worth it to me, you just have to have a clue first!

I recently received the PC111 for my '08 Kawi ZX6 and installed it myself. Installation was easy, no cutting of wires, simply remove the tank and airbox, unplug the clips going into the throttle bodies, plug in the PC111 wiring harness, and plug the stock clips into the wiring harness. That’s pretty much it. If you have an aftermarket exhaust or air filter, you need a Power Commander! The map I downloaded from the PC website ran a little rich for me down here in Florida, but a few tweaks got it right. Smooth midrange now, with more low end power. Simple to use for anyone with some knowledge of engines and computers.

I installed the PCIII on my 04 GSXR 600. The install was as smooth as can be. The instructions were great and very detailed. I have a bolt scorpion shorty exhuast and K&N intake. Power commander didn't have my specific map for the parts installed on bike but there's many maps for a slip-on/bolt-on and an intake filter. The first thing I noticed was the initial lag at low rpms such as from a stop was gone. Mid-range feels a lot stronger and the hi revs are always good. All in all, easy installaltion, great power gains. A must have.

Unbelievable power
I was hoping this unit would take away the ping in my engine when I gave it some throttle to pass in traffic. It did this and more. The engine is smoother and much more power. The unit was easy to install with clear instructions and detailed pictures. Well worth the money.

If you modify your scooter, you have to have this item. I found the instructions easy to follow, and the unit easy to program. The bike fired right up and runs fantastic! Things are a bit tight space wise under the seat, but it is manageable. Love this unit!

This product will do what is expected. The failing is the very murky instructions, a HIGHLY hit and miss product support team and a poorly conceived wiring harness. With some looking the instructions become more clear to the average bolt on type wrench turner. The product support team, that services what must be thousands of clients that cannot get the CD supplied with the product to work, can be horrible. The first time I called the gent acted though I was simply annoying him and gave no useful help at all. The second time I had to call since the "help" I received from the rude chap was worthless, the guy slaved my computer and got everything done for me. Overall, a poor customer service experience that most likely could have been avoided with a better instruction and program package. That said, the GSX-R600 will experience better low end torque with a smoother powerband if installed.

A MUST HAVE PRODUCT
This is a great add on. My bike already had a full Yoshi exhaust system and I bought this and the K&N at the same time and it really woke my 750 up. Throttle response is better, throttle control is smoother and if I ride normal my fuel mileage isn't affected. Easy to use and must have if you want to get the most out of your upgrades.

2007 Kawi Ninja 650R: Pros: quick installation if you have already taken a fuel tank off before. No soldering/cutting of wires needed. The install onto the laptop is quick and painless. Loading maps into the application and then onto the PC3 is about as intuitive as it can get. Cons: installation requires removal of the fuel tank and can get tricky if you have not done it before. Haven't found any pre-made maps that match my setup and getting a map custom made can cost more than PC3 itself. If an O2 sensor processing feature could have been incorporated into the PC model that is actually compatible with the 650r this would not be an issue (aside from the extra cost that feature would require; a catch-22 I suppose) I have tried a couple different maps and there is definite power increases with each. I have lowered my 650r about 2 inches overall with about 3/8" extra drop in the front. This made the front wheel stay completely glued to the road no matter what I did short of clutching-up in 1st gear. Now with the PC3 installed the front wheel has gotten very light again. Also, the bike will cruise dead smooth now when it was somewhat choppy before. I have only gone through a few tanks of gas with it installed but so far it seems that I am getting slightly better mileage. That may be because I am changing my riding habits now that the cruising sweet-spots in the RPM range have shifted quite a bit. Actually, the motor seems to vibrate quite a bit less overall now.

Great product, Easy to install, CD that’s provided doesn’t work with Windows Vista, but works great on Windows XP. Notice a big difference. Don’t have all the Maps for my year of bike, called PC and they told me they are working on getting them all. They gave me the next best map for my set up.

Got the PC3 yesterday, took me about 10 minutes to install, software it came with was easy to use. Took my track bike around the neighborhood and even though I only got it to about 9k rpms it felt like it had more pull and was smoother. Can’t wait to get it on the track. Definitely worth the money, if you are on the fence about getting one, just get it you won’t be let down.

Fit nice...Easy to install...Does not play well with Vista. The c/d that came with it looked to be already used as it is very scratched right out of the box. Worst $270+ I have ever spent. Hell, I can't even get to manually adjust fuel mixtures. Complete waste of time and money. The stickers appear to be of good quality though.

This unit fills the need of tunability. It has a very large range and ease of use. As with anything of this capability, to reach 100% it takes a Pro with a dyno or a very extensive understanding of digital fuel control systems. It works very well even with the offered downloads and with knowledge a map can be modified if you know where to fatten it or lean it.

I got a new Voodoo exhaust, along with the Power Comander and with the correct mapping.
I was informed that my Gixxer would be a screamer. OMG!!! It's hard to stay off the throttle. I ride every day it's sunny outside, because I am so hook on the new power gain and quick response off the throttle. I advise everyone even if you don't do any upgrades to invest in the Power Commander because there is hidden power in every bike it's finding it.

Overall the product fit great! Only gripe was fitting the injector clips. The instructions that came with it didn't really explain what order they should be plugged in (left to right or right to left) leaving me to plug in and remove them twice. A little annoying but that's about it. Looking on an online forum will help you out tons. Data upload was quick and easy, a laptop really helps with final troubleshooting while on the bike if any but a desktop does the job just fine. After having the powercommander 3 on my gsxr for about a month now I notice a much smoother powerband and a tad bit more top end power. Great bang for your buck so grab one now! Power mods on my bike are Jardine GP1 slip-on and K&N filter.

A really nice looking and compact item. However, whoever wrote the installation instructions and picked the photos in the instructions never saw this model bike. It took a lot of experimenting and trying to get it physically installed under the side cover. The CD and software worked fine for loading the provided map.

Installed in spring before could really get out and play, but from the brief ride I could discern the increased torque across all RPM ranges. The installation instructions could use a bit of work. Basically if you don't know your way around the fuel injection portion of the bike you're installing into, you could be reversing the controllers. Fortunately, the service manuals for most motorcycles are available and this allows identification of the components needed. Additional standard fuel maps are needed as well. Most of us can barely afford the device much less the expense of getting to a dyno.

As many others have reviewed, this is a great piece of equipment to put on your fuel injected bike.. I have an 02 F4i & once I installed this, it made throttle response much smoother. It’s a necessary piece to help resolve issues with the bike running lean after adding items that allow the bike to breathe better, this allows more gas to enter the engine. That means a lot smoother ride & better response/performance. I am using this with a K&N air filter & a Yoshimura Exhaust. i luv it! & ofc motorcyclesuperstore is always great to deal with. Highly recommended at these prices.

Great product, plug and play, the software that came with the power commander installed fast and easy and had a few good maps for certain exhaust set ups. To get all you can get out of it though it would be best to get a dyno map. The power commander fixed my hesitations at lower rpms and gave it a good smooth throttle response.

Easy Installation; Easy Upload of Maps; With a K&N Filter and Devil Slip-On Mufflers installed a direct Map wasn't available, but the Map with Akro's and aftermarket filter the bike runs smooth and the power in mid-range is showing much improvement. Like it! My Z1000 runs a little hot but with given her the right spark plugs everything should be fine then. Awesome product!
