Puig Racing Screen Light Smoke
Replaced my stock 2009 Ninja 250R windscreen with the Puig. I was pleased with the product, replacement was super easy and fit was perfect. No gaps, easy to insert rubber wells, and the light smoke was just what I desired. Dark enough to contrast against the red/black of the bike, and easy enough to see through the screen when needed. The price was acceptable. The durability unknown as it has only had 1 month's use. Below 50 mph the ride seems to cut through and take the wind off the upper body area. However above 50 the air over the top of the screen tends to flow more air at the helmet thus causing a certain amount of buffeting. You must then "duck" behind the screen to offset the flow of the wind over screen. Love the style, pleased with the product.

Second aftermarket windscreen for 08' cbr1000rr. first was a "v-flow" design. Didn’t like how it felt in crosswinds. this screen does what it is supposed to. this screen does not utilize the front two mounting pegs of honda's design so i inserted a bit of foam to keep it from moving. other than that all holes lined up and the surfaces were flawless.

It looks pretty awesome on my R6 over the stock screen. I think it does a better job with deflecting the air over my helmet too. Just be careful not to scratch it. It fit perfectly.

Puig Racing Windscreen Dark Smoke
Windscreen is constructed with quality materials and looks good. Predrilled mounting holes are larger than the stock windscreen which makes mounting slightly more difficult. You have to buy aftermarket windscreen screws and well nuts. I used Keiti brand and had to add black plastic washers since the mounting holes were drilled larger then stock. But overall a quality product in both function and appearance.

Nice Windscreen
Definitely a difference on the highway over factory screen. Looks great on my bike and have received lots of positive comments from people. When installing, you need to add a strip of weather stripping at the bottom (like is on the factory shield) or you will have a very noticeable gap of light at the bottom. I recommend this shield.

I own a yellow 2002 honda cbr f4i and I love how it looks. I was thinking about going with the chrome yellow but after seeing this one I fell in love. There is nothing that I would have to complain about it, everything fit well. I had to however keep the hardware from my old screen but that wasn’t a big deal seems how I had to take it off lol

Fragile, but looks great
I like how it enhances the looks of the bike. The dark tint makes looking through the windscreen very difficult even with my clear face shield during the day. The smoked edge guard is a nice touch and gives it a finished look. It was difficult to install. I thought I was going to break it since I had to stretch it to fit. Once it was on, there were no gaps and it looked good. During a project, I had to remove it to get my front fairing off. It was stuck and I ended up accidentally breaking off a tab. Overall, I think it looks great, I just wish it was more durable and that it was easier to put on and take off.

Puig dark smoke on Ducati 1098
I purchased the dark smoke Puig for my yellow Ducati 1098. The screen fit is excellent; it is stiff enough that it adds rigidity to the fairing. Wind protection is much better than OEM. It looks awesome too. Looks classy and cool. I compared the dark smoke to a friend’s 'smoke' Puig on his 1098 and we both agree that the dark smoke is superior.

It Works
This windscreen is not exactly what I was looking for but it was the only tinted windscreen that I could find for my bike (09 Ninja 650R) that was actually in stock. It is a little taller than I wanted but I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. It is a very functional windshield and the difference between stocks is night and day as far as wind blockage. This will work nicely until I can find a shorter one to put on. One thing is for sure though the next one I get will be a Puig, they make quality windscreens.

Bought the light smoke Puig screen to replace the stock shield on my '08 Yamaha FZ-6. Definitely pleased- it adds a much cooler look, as well as directing airflow to my helmet instead of my vulnerable throat (I'm 5'11). After a lengthy road trip, I also seemed to notice that the bubble design effectively breaks up air turbulence over the stock screen and makes for smoother airflow, especially in windier conditions. Definitely a worthwhile purchase- very satisfied.

I did a lot of research looking to find the right windscreen for my Kawasaki Ninja ... and the Puig model line is definitely a great product. The fit was perfect and the design looks great. After about 500 miles with it, the durability does not look to be an issue (there are no chips or any marks on it). I'll be using Puig again when I buy bikes in the future. Note that it is difficult to find exact images of the windscreens for your bike, but if you email Puig via their web site ... they will respond with an accurate picture.

I tried the OEM touring screen that yamaha sells... It was a joke! It generates so much turbulence I couldn't hear myself think at 40 MPH. Rode with it for 2 miles and went home to take it off! Orderd the PUIG and I am more than satisfied... Fits well, works as advertised and looks awesome on my FZ6. Minor fit problem with the top two screw holes, the angle of the shield at that point is slightly off. The screw holes line up fine, I just snugged the screws being careful not to flex the shield angle too much. Great product!

Overall this product looks great. The fitment is a little off, but very close. This thing looks fantastic on a black zx6r. I rated cost benefit a little low because it’s pretty expensive for a piece of molded plastic, but I do like the looks of it more than other brands and the fact that Puig is the only one with this style (black opaque). I marked durability low because I've only had it on for about a month. I have noticed that the double bubble moves air more over your head than stock.

When I race at night I sometimes wish it was clear though. I can’t speak on the durability. There are no features. It’s about the same as the rest on cost.

fit should be alot better
Some of the reviews on here are for other bikes. As another reviewer stated the fit being off on the bottom 2 bolting holes for the 250 is correct. It is about a half inch narrower than the stock. You have to squeeze the fairings in to make it fit. Would have been easier if the mounting holes lined up better. Good product over all, but expect to force the plastic around a bit for all the bolts to make it line up correctly even the upper bolts also.
Didn't really notice any added wind protection, so this seems to be more of a cosmetic upgrade.

i bought a carbon fiber windscreen for my 2008 ninja 250r and it looks sick. i had to take out four screws on my old windscreen and pull it out, and the new one slipped right in and bolted on. it took me maybe 10min. tops. looks a lot better than the stock clear windscreen and is much more thick. i love it.

Puig racing windscreen for 2007 FZ6
I bought the light smoked version for my FZ6. The tint is just right, not too dark, not too light. Fitment was good; all the holes lined up nicely. One thing I noticed compared to the stock windscreen was that it directed the airflow over my shoulders and hits me right in the helmet, which helps a lot in the winter ( I am 5'8"). As far as noise levels are concerned, it is more or less the same probably because I wear a full face helmet and ear plugs. So to conclude fitment is good, works great, looks great, and reasonably priced.

It is fully functional for added wind protection and it fits and looks great. I gave it a 2 for "Features" because of all the stickers that were attached to the screen. It took me an hour to carefully remove the stickers and the difficult to get off glue left by the stickers. It seems like they want you to destroy a very beautiful and perfect screen. I don't know what they were thinking. I also don't like the "Puig" and "R1400" that is permanently painted on the screen. My bike is a ZX-14, not an R1400. It would look so much nicer without any markings. But considering, if I had the chance to re-think if I should purchase or not, I would still purchase it again. It is very well built.

My bike looks so much cooler with this windscreen. It is red and black so I got the dark smoke. It fits great and does a pretty good job at blocking the wind with the double bubble design. They could come down on the price a little, because when it comes down to it you are paying $80 for a piece of plastic, a really cool looking piece of plastic. Get One!

This windscreen looks awesome on my ninja 250R (08). The fit was a bit tricky, had to put screws in on one side and then pushed pressure to get the screws to line up on other side. Probably due to plastic being new, had to stretch a bit. This is well worth the money makes bike look like a super bike.

Puig Racing Windscreen (Dark Smoke)
I bought this for my brother's black '06 CBR1000RR. The bike looks pretty sinister now...not that it wasn't before but this took it to a whole new level. I'm just sad that he took his bike back (no more joy rides for me).
It fits like a glove on the CBR.
I went with the dark smoke and it matches the bike perfectly - I was going to try the opaque but I think this actually matches the black pretty well.
It seems sturdy enough...but again this bike is all about being lightweight so you can't be all that upset with it being a bit flimsy. (It isn't anywhere close to my BMW GSA screen that seems like it could stop a bullet!)
I'm 6/3 and definitely benefit from the increase in bubble-space. Also I think this is good if you have a tankbag, regardless of height. No matter how tall you are if you have a tankbag you can't hug the bike so you're more exposed with the stock screen.
Price seems to match the quality. I'm very satisfied with the product and my brother seems to agree.
No problems with shipping...actually received it a day before scheduled delivery!

I ordered the dark smoke double bubble and it matches my 07 CBR to the T. It was pretty easy to install and the screen itself just flows nicely. The tint on the screen is kind of rough though on the edges of the bubble

Since this is my first experience with a windscreen on a sports bike I really don't have anything to compare it to. I have observed however, as a racing screen, there is much less wind buffering when in the crouch position. It fit perfectly in the bike and looks great.

I bought this Puig Racing Windscreen about a month ago and I must say that I do enjoy it. it looks great with the bike, was easy to install, took about 5 minutes overall, and it helps a bit more with the wind. It does stand a bit higher than the stock clear one, and I do know that it doesn't stand as high as the double bubble but it still looks great on the bike and helps with the wind. I like it and I will buy Puig again. Oh and a clear plastic tube came with the windscreen, I don't know what it's for or where it goes, proves how much I know....:)

I put the racing screen on my fz6 and what a difference. It stopped all the wind blast on my helmet and made a big change in the bikes looks. The dark smoke color matches with the black powder coating perfectly. The only problem I had was with the PUIG being slow in supplying one for the stores for about 4 months, I tried 3 different stores and no one could get one. But like always M.S. came through and I had one in a week. Great product and even better store.

Great windscreen but it could be better
This dark smoke unit looks great on my GSX-R 600 and it improves wind blast protection over the stock unit. It didn’t come with instructions, the package came open on one of the corners...it was missing one staple. It was a little difficult to install when bolting the screws and the plastic tubing provided for the edge of the windscreen should be molded already to the edge.

Could Be Better
Overall, it's an ok product. But the fit on my '04 F4i is less than perfect. After bolting it down there are gaps between the windscreen and the fairing, meaning the fairing is not flush against the windscreen except where bolted down. I'm also not impressed with the plastic tubing that you have to install on the edge of the windscreen. I can see that being lost or stolen, and should probably be part of the molded plastic. The dark smoke color is nice, and the look from a few feet away (where you can't see the gaps) is nice.

Works much better than stock screen at keeping wind blast off at 'elevated' velocities, works better than Zero-Gravity that I have used, about the same as a Memphis Shades on a ZX-10. Still need to be crouched pretty tight on the fuel tank, but this is the position required at these speeds anyway. ZX-14 is noticeably more comfortable at sub-warp speeds also. Remember, always follow posted speed limits!

Great Look
This windscreen gave me very little difficulty with installation, and it looks amazing. I wasn't sure how it was going to look at first but it looks great. It is not see-through at all though.

Ordered the Racing windscreen. Shipping was incredibly quick for a part which was originally back ordered. Fed Ex tracking is a great feature. Product arrived in PERFECT shape. Included instructions aided me in getting the screen mounted in about a total time of 5 min start to finish. Wind buffeting is gone, Wind noise still present, but less aggravating now. Although there was a little mix-up and the original screen I got was for a ZX-6(not an R1), Customer Service was able to help me right away. Within another day or two I had the right screen and a return label for the wrong one. Now the R1 is decked out in a *HOT* smoke Puig windscreen.

Great product, my ZX12 looks very aggresive with the dark look of the PUIG screen and wind protection on highway is much better.
