Carbon Fiber Works Tank Sides for 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600
Understandably, the fit is not to par with OEM standards, however, it does the job in adding to the "bling" factor. My MAJOR complaint about the product is the supplied bolts and washers. The bolts tighten up directly against the carbon fiber tank sides. After my first ride with them, I checked for bolt-looseness and found that they had indeed come loose. I tightened them more than the first go-around in hopes of avoiding the problem again. The bolt and washer punched through the carbon fiber, enlarging the bolt hole to the size of the bolt head, ouch. I felt like I had just thrown $180 down the drain. However, all was good when I discovered that because the bolt holes were now larger, I was able to use the OEM bolts with the carbon fiber tank sides. The OEM bolts tighten up against the subframe which is the way to go. So I recommend that buyers of this product drill enlarged holes so that OEM bolts may be used. What I recommend more is that Carbon Fiber Works fix this problem at the factory.
