Product Description
Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Rear Tire

Bridgestone brings you genuine MotoGP technology for the street with their new Battlax BT-016 Hypersport Performance Tires
  • New multi-compound technology derived from MotoGP delivers the grip performance demanded in every aspect – braking, maximum side grip in cornering, and strong traction at the exit of a corner
  • Rear tire features a new triple compound (5LC) The center compound offers good stability, the shoulder compound transfers power to the road with strong traction while the edge compound offers strong side grip and solid contact feeling at extreme lean angles
  • The rear tires L shaped grooves enhance shock absorption and rear-end steering. Groove location not across tread center area provides both wet performance and strong traction. High speed durability is also maximized
  • The steel MS-BELT (mono-spiral belt) construction applied to front and rear tires absorbs sudden impact from bumps and offers high stability and tremendous line-holding in corners
  • HTSPC- ( High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord – Mono Spiral Belt ) technology in front and rear tire provides rich contact feel, strong grip and high-speed stability
  • 3D-CTDM ( Comprehensive Tire Design Method ) is advanced tire design technology that enables dynamic, three-dimensional simulations of tire performance at all lean angles
  • Compares to Dunlop Qualifier, Michelin Pilot Power/Pilot Sport HPX, Pirelli Diablo/Rosso, Metzeler Sportec M-3/M-1
  • O.E. replacement sizes available, see tire code reference below

franke dallas,  TX Dangerously Good I've been going thru a lot of tires lately b/c of road debris and I have to say this is the best tire I've had on the bike (06 GSXR1000 - 17K miles) yet. I use the bike as a daily commuter, so I've put a little over a 1K in a month and I think this tire might need an additional warning sticker; it'll give you so much confidence you might want to do illegal things, all the time. I had some Sport Tourers on there before, so it's really not a fair comparison, but I don't think I can go back to a Sport Tourer. Good rubber, there's nothing like it. A great road tire.

Barry Klinke Bingen,  WA Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Rear Tire I've only got 200 miles on this tire on an SV650, but, I like this tire a lot. I have run Pilot Powers and Pilot Power 2CT tires before this one, and in comparison, I like this tire better. It is neutral handling and seems to allow me more options in choosing my lines through corners. Since the SV doesn't have a huge amount of horsepower the softer side tread will last longer than on more powerful bikes that seem to wear the sides faster than the middle of the tread. I've ridden this tire in the rain for about 100 miles and it seems to hook up very well, but I'm not pushing hard in the wet, but it inspires confidence in the rain. Time will tell how long these tires will last, but at this point, I really, really like this tire. And the Motorcycle Superstore is the greatest!!

Taylor Milton,  VT Great Tire Great Price!!! I was looking for a rear tire on my 05 CBR 1000RR because mine was bald. I went to local dealerships and the prices were much, much higher. I got routed to this website when checking online and I'm glad I did!!! Great tire for a great price and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely come back for all my motorcycle needs.

Jim salinas,  CA Great Tire I ride just about every day and got 6700 miles from new to showing threads. Very reliable tire. Taken them all way to the edge of the tire. Drifting felt very comfortable at high speed corning on track. Good buy for the price. I don’t know how they handle in wet conditions I never ride in the rain :P

David shelbyville,  IN This tire rocks I almost have 6,000 miles on this tire and the tread is still going. On dry pavement this tire has amazing grip. Not really sure about wet pavement. In the corners you almost feel like you can just keep digging a little deeper and the battlax gives you the confidence to try a little deeper in the corner. I recommend this tire for anyone willing to get aggressive when they take it to the street and the track.

Mark R Ventura,  CA Great tyre I reviewed this tyre before and just have to say it’s great. Wet traction I can't comment on, living in SoCal don't really get the chance to test. Stability, cornering and dry traction are terrific, tread life not so terrific. I get around 3200 - 3500 out of the rears, better than some, worse than others. But I’ll sacrifice a bit of tread life for cornering and traction any day. This is now my 3rd set, why change their cheap enough and Motorcycle Superstore delivers them right to my door for a better price than I can buy locally..Currently am getting 1 front to 2 rears pretty much the norm...

Travis Lakeland,  FL Great street tire for the cost This is a great tire for the cost. Best bargain out there in my opinion. If you do a lot of hard cornering you will wear the edges out quicker than the middle, but for a daily commute tire with the occasional hard riding thrown in, it is perfect.

Ben M Yorba Linda,  CA Great for track not for street Bought these to replace my oem Dunlops that came on my 09 FZ1.. Motorcycle Superstore continues to exceed my expectations both in price and service. Word of caution, when you get these installed make sure to heat them up, burnouts etc. I forget to do that and almost dropped the bike thanks to extremely slippery factory surface glaze on tire. Going from a 190/50 to 190/55 greatly improved the turn in and handling in general. Bike goes exactly where you point it. Takes getting used to from the factory set. Bike seems to be faster also, seems like all of the bike's power is harnessed through the tire to the pavement due to its improved stickiness.

Jason Mckinney,  TX Bridgestone bt016 I have a ducati 1098 and had the pirelli supacora on there. Best tire ever super sticky not good in the wet. Remember these tires are very expensive. Next best thing the bt016 better than pilot ct"s and the metzler. Get the point? Unless u got it like that to get the pirelli. Buy the bt016. Minimal loss for a huge gain in price. Dipset
