I got this lock after having my helmet stolen off my bike. This hooks through the D rings and the rubber coating has torn and is deteriorating rapidly (only had for 1 mo.). Great idea, just a poorly made product. I'll still use even when there is no rubber left. The rubber isn't really needed as long as the smooth coating is good. The combo lock works well, no problems with that.

The device is great. Initially I got a litle skeptical when I read the evaluations. Probably someone who did not read how to use it. Product solved my problems, easy to use. I do recommend it.

After receiving the lock, I reset the code per the instructions, then checked that I had properly reset it. After using it that first day, I locked my helmet onto my bike the next day. When I tried to unlock it, the lock wouldn't open. I attempted a variety of codes including the preset code. I had to cut the lock off of my bike. I have since purchased a key lock.

Great product, easy to use and allows you to secure your helmet anywhere on the bike. I am glad someone came up with this idea.

I got this for a cruiser, no good place to hang a helmet save for the sissy bar. I did not need the locking aspect, so to me this was a waste of money, I didn't have the forethought to go to Menards or Lowes and get a standard spring clip, which is "less the locking mechanism", the same thing. I suppose if I am ever in an area I need the lock, it will be useful, otherwise it's hard to use and not worth the money.

Good Helmet Lock, but falls a little short on ease of setting the combination. When setting the small numbers some can slip off the number you wanted and when you activate the safety pin it is too late to make sure you have the right number set. Other than that is a good deterrent to keep the non-criminals from steeling your helmet.

Good idea for a helmet lock, but wish it were larger or shaped so it could go around the handle bars.

I didn't want to get a lock that mounted to any part of my bike, which is why I opted for this. The rubber coating is a great idea to prevent scratching. The only issue I have is the combination can be changed while the thing is locked which kind of defeats the purpose of locking up your gear. Granted when it's attached to your bike with a helmet or jacket on it it would be fairly difficult to change the combination. This will probably work best as a deterrant.
