I bought some saddle bags and had to remove the welded on helmet lock that came with the bike. This product allowed me to put the lock in a more convenient place.

The lock arrived quickly. Mounting was easy once a found a spot for it. Dificult to rate the durability yet as it's new. Price is right.

Doesn't fit my 7/8" bar, too loose. Paint flakes off immediately, even from just inserting the key. The lock won't latch if the key isn't in it either. That said, it doesn't fit my '06 FZ6. Cannot recommend this product to anyone.
Cheap lock, key and does not lock/unlock easily.

I bought this for my 2010 Triumph ST 1050 since that manufacturer decided in its infinite wisdom to not include a helmet lock. Pros: inexpensive, easy to install (once you find a pipe/tube to attach it to). Cons: seems/looks flimsy, difficult to determine what side/orientation for the key; I fear the key will break off or bend in the lock; did not fit easily on my bike. I would not recommend it.

This secured great on my back foot peg of my 05 GSX-R, the finish is black which looked really good till I hung my helmet on it, scratches easy, but what’s takin it off every now and again for a coat of paint, gonna try putting rhino lining on it to avoid scratches, but its a great price, I mean what’s 30 bucks to secure a 300 dollar helmet.

On the bike I own (Kawasaki ninja 250r) there really wasn't any room to mount this on the handlebars. Instead I put it on the passenger foot peg area. I used the included anti-theft screws to secure it and it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Not a perfect fit, but I mean it's not really the intended area regardless. The black finish appears to be easily marred. Durability-wise it seems pretty solid, I can't imagine it breaking on me. It does it's job of locking the helmet via the D-rings, if someone really wanted it they could cut the strap entirely though. If you really wanted to secure it, however, you could wrap a bike lock of some kind through the visor area and then pass it through the helmet lock. All in all for what I paid, I got basically what I expected, it does the job fine, and this way I don't need to go everywhere with my helmet, which is definitely handy.

The lock is great but I had trouble finding a spot to put it on my bike. I found a spot that eventually worked out well.
