I have the zippered Dowco cover, which I highly recommend because the zipper allows for much quicker and easier on/off. Unfortunately, the Dowco zippered model does not have the built-in pocket for the Cover Alarm, which creates a challenge for install. So, I had to improvise.

Useful Gadget!
Very ingenious security system. It fits in an inside pocket of the Dowco cover and there is like a 10-inch strap that you attach to the brake disc. If someone tries to remove the cover the strap will be stretched and as it is attached to the disc nothing happens at this end, but at the other end the strap pulls a pin in the alarm box (that stays firm in the cover inside pocket) and the alarm sounds.

Guardian Cover Alarm
This alarm is nice cheap security. It is very loud when set off! It is nice to have to let you know if anyone is messing with your bike/cover. However, it definitely won’t rid someone who really wants to steal your bike. It will get rid of people who are curious though… I keep the alarm in the back left pocket of my cover and hook it to a hole on the chain wear indicator. If someone tries to take the cover off or pick up to much on it; it will pull the tab and go off. I use this and a disc lock on my bike. Both work well.

Dam its loud!!!
Sucka will not shut up unless you put the pin back in. I just wanted to test the lil bugger. Being so small and cheap I didn't think it would be loud. Well I regretted pulling the pin. I almost went deaf. You can definitley hear it for blocks. The pouches in the Dowco Guardian cover is great on protecting it from moisture. Here in New York they'll steal anything. This is a great little protection to deter thieves.

That’s about all I can say at this time because I haven't found how to used it with the light weight cover yet... My cover has velcro pockets but they don't seem to be for using this alarm....they are upside down and the cord with the alarm isn't long enough to attach it to anything on the bike in that area.... I'm going to have to spend some time trying to figure a way to use this item....

Dowco cover alarm
Is OK for the price, very loud. The alarm can be used as is only with the Weatherall Plus cover, so using it with another model, or something that one may already have, requires some creative thinking. It would have been nice for Dowco to add a model with more features, perhaps a remote control.

Travel Alarm
I bought this to keep snoops from under my bike cover while traveling. I have a cover without the alarm pocket but I easily adapted it for use. Just a way to scare off anyone who wants to get snoopy when I'm traveling.

Remains to be seen
Product is extremely loud when activated. Hopefully I never need it, but it remains to be seen whether it would work based on how it works. It is designed to sound off when the tether, which is clipped to the bike, is tugged causing the pin to be pulled from the unit. Seems like anyone looking to remove the cover would realize the resistance caused by the clip being attached to the bike before pulling off the cover enough to activate the unit. The box takes a 9V battery, and does feel cheaply designed. It does fit snug into any of the four interior pockets on the cover, and remains hidden.

Usable with cover. I fished it through the chain on my scooter to scooter. If someone messed with the scooter chain before they discovered it, it would be going off. Worth the money! It does need more instructions.

Great for the price.
This is by no means a complete security system, but I think for the price it will do what its supposed to. DETER! The only complaints I have about it are: It doesn’t seem very durable, like if you happened to drop it, it looks like it would break. And its not as loud when it is in its pocket on the cover. I still think it would be a good deterrent though.

A good added layer or theft protection
I opted to buy this alarm when getting the compatible Dowco cover. It's a pretty added layer of theft protection, very loud when triggered. This alarm is a great added layer of protection to go along with a good sturdy motorcycle disk/wheel lock.

Extra Security for a Cheap price.
I like this little alarm. It is a cheap and quick extra layer of protection for your motorcycle. I have a motorcycle alarm, a cover, the cover alarm, and a lock. For around $15 it is worth it. Be careful when removing the cover not to pull the pin out. It can be difficult to get back in because you have to remove the alarm from the pouch and then insert the pin back into the alarm to turn the alarm off. This is great for would-be thieves or vandals but bad for the accidental false-alarm when removing the cover. Overall great bang for the buck!
