The lock itself seems to be of good quality and very difficult to pick. I will not try and cut it off but I imagine it could be very time consuming. As far as the alarm, well some say it is very low on the db level, but I wouldn't know 'cause I have not heard mine even chirp with all the shaking and picking going on. Checked contacts and batteries. No alarm whatsoever, but the lock and look of it gives me peace of mind when my bike is alone which isn't very often.

The alarm don’t work all the time and it’s not loud at all. my clock/alarm is louder than this

When I got this for my husband, we thought it would be a great alarm. When he tried it out, it seemed to have a low volume. We loved the size of it but wished it would be louder.

I bought this a couple of years ago. The locking mechanism works great. The alarm quit working so I replaced the batteries. The alarm still doesn’t work. It’s not that big of a deal to me because they are going to have to spend a lot of time either trying to cut the lock or lift the bike because the lock is very strong. I feel that anyone trying to steal the bike would go look elsewhere for an easier target. I leave it outside at my work day and night and don’t worry a bit.

Lock was solid and well made, fit was excellent. My complaint was batteries where leaking acid and did not work. I replaced batteries and alarm still didn’t work. Customer service was not helpful.

Bought this lock for a trip I was taking, wanted some additional insurance while sleeping in unknown hotels, alarm is loud enough, and the lock is absolutely strong enough to allow me to limit my worries during sleep or at the pub.
