Kryptonite Evolution Series 4
Well, hopefully it'll take more than a Bic pen to unlock this sucker. I bought this to go along with a previously owned New York Chain after cutting the Series 1 lock off. What a difference 15 years has made. The Series 4 has a different kind of lock and seems to be made with better tolerances. The fit is better and overall operation is superior. I'm happy with the purchase so far and my bike has not yet been stolen, so I guess those are good things.

So far so good....
I've had the lock for a couple weeks, and i like it so far. The keyhole weather cover is nice, it keeps water out pretty well.

Seems fine so far
I've had this for about three weeks...It seems fine and looks pretty solid, though I'm sure a serious thief wouldn't have much trouble opening it. Buy a “reminder cable” as well, so that you don't drive off with it on.

Kryptonite - Evolution Series 4 Disk Lock
Works as advertised. Fits underneath the saddle of my FZ6 and is easy to engage and remove. I like the lighted key and the high visibility of the lock (helps remember it is there...) Feel is quite solid and Kryptonite has been around.

Does the Job... i think?
I bought this for my '84 Sabre (VF 700S). I use it whenever i park and my bike is out of my line of sight. So far so good. Nice simple design, rubberized encasing, the key hole closes to keep dirt out and it comes with 3 keys (1 with key light on it). Simple, visible and i hope effective.

Nice Lock
Color is good for standing out (and hopeful theft prevention). Fits disc nicely on both F4i and 600RR. I went with Kryptonite over others despite it being more expensive as its a name I trust.

Evo 4 Disk Lock Does the job
This lock is heavyweight, potentially a down side carried in your tank bag, but hey, it's a lock, right? It is VERY well-built, the shackle is VERY thick, and you'd have to be a specialist in motorcycle theft to cut this one off...like the kind who have their own acetylene welders'(SP?) torch in the trunk of their car, and a LOT of time to cut. Seriously, I'm much reassured with this on my bike in NY. 3 keys (one with a light) is a clever touch: on a long trip that's one for you, one for a riding partner, and one to keep at home.

Locking a K1200LT & R1100RS
I purchased the lock to provide one more level of annoyance for anyone trying to mess with my bikes either while I'm parked at a destination or on the road. The ability to completely separate the shackle from the locking crossbar makes it a snap to install.
I'd like to see a “red flag/don't forget to remove the lock” cable offered as part of the lock package. Motorcycle Superstore was out of them as a separate item when I placed my order. I also have concerns about how durable the soft plastic coating of the lock body and shackle will be over time, we'll see!
