tail bag is the bomb...
Same as my review of the bags. Buy this; you cannot go wrong with the package deal for less than $200...you can haul a ton of gear on a sportbike. As I write this, I am 800 miles into a 1500 mile, 10 day motorcycle camping road trip complete with tent, sleeping bag, etc...lashed on top of the tail bag! all on my 2008 baby Ninja 250!

I like the design, material and finish on this item. The expandable bag ends are a plus. It fits nicely on the rear seat of my BMW K75 and is easy to tie down with the included bungee cords. Can't tell about the durability as I have not used yet.

Can't go wrong with this one!
This is a great tail bag. I purchased this shortly after I got the matching mini-tank bag because I started going on longer rides on my Ninja. I decided against the saddle bags because I'm not sure how long I'll keep this bike before I go cruiser. Its expandable sides are really a nice feature. You can really get everything you need in this bag for a 1-3 day ride.

Great bag
I bought this for commuting. The bag works great and will fit a 14" widescreen laptop no problem. I'm pretty sure a 15" would fit as well as there is room to spare. The pack seems to be good quality and is easy to secure to the bike. It may be worthy of 5 stars on all counts, but I am a new rider and have not owned a lot of gear to compare to.

Pretty Darn good...
Just went on a 1700 mile trip with this bag. Great bag, easy to strap on with the built in bungee cords. Can fit about 2 maybe 3 nights worth of clothes in it. But I used it for laptop and electronic supplies, worked great! Fit is really nice, comes with a rain guard which I ended up using. When taking off the bike, works like a luggage bag with handle. Great price for what you get.

Great Tailbag
This bag fits my FZ6 really well. I had to use a bit of unconventional means to attach it due to the under the tail exhaust on the bike. However, after I got that figured out the tailbag stays put really well. The bag has plenty of space to take my lunch and other items too. I have not had to expand the sides of the bag yet even. So far mine is holding up great, and I would fully recommend this bag to someone looking for a tailbag.

Cortech Sport Tailbag
I bought this bag about a month ago and so far it's served me well. I carry my laptop with accessories and a lunch to work every day and it all fits in with room to spare. I've even fit two laptops with accessories in there and one of them was a 17" laptop. The expandable side zippers are great to create the extra room when needed and get rid of it when you don't. The overall quality is very good. I'm sure it will last for many riding years to come and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Looked around for something that would be large enough to carry just some basic tools/accessories and normal shoes/clothes... A tank bag is too small. This was the perfect size for day trips and around town.

Blue Cortech Sport Tail bag on plasma blue 2009 Kawasaki Versys
The color is a nice match with the paint on the bike. The bungie cords attach easily through the passenger hand holds and latch securely around the side reflectors. The attachment is secure and space is adequate for small shopping trips. The bag was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition.

...after years of bungee cords and straps went looking for the right tailbag for my dual sport...had seen the cortech tailbag on sport bikes and thought i'd give it a shot...the dimensions are a good fit and the elastic cords give lots of options for attachment...i carry a small essentials box, a small boxed set of wrenches, extra cables, shifter and levers, a tire repair bag, tubes, tow strap, chain lube and an extra pair of gloves,...and with the sides extended i can carry extra water and those all important trail snacks...highly recommend this bag for all d/s bikes with a luggage rack...

I used this tailbag with and without the matching saddlebags and it was great. When used with the saddlebags it attaches to them and becomes like one piece. Alone it attaches with 2 bungees and held very steady for me on a R6.

Perfect addition to side pair
I have a 2008 Versys and didn't want the hard cases and rack that are necessary for mounting. This bag set fit perfectly on the bike and just completed 1800 miles without a problem. Easy on and off with no shifting during the ride. The tail bag connected easily and complimented the whole look. The bags held 6 days of supplies and I didn't even expand the set.

Needs Improvement
This bag has weak zippers not befitting the rest of the bag. My zippers quickly stopped working and now will not keep the bag zipped shut -- making the bag useless. Also, it does not fit the rear luggage rack on my Honda Shadow 750. The built in bungee cords sort of scrunch it up because there is no solid foundation.

Perfect for that everyday commute
I have replaced my regular laptop backpack with this tail bag. I easily fit, a pair of jeans, wind breaker pants, sweatshirt, laptop and power supply, wallet, sunglasses, flashlight and included rain cover without even unzipping the expansion slots. It fits perfect on my 08 FZ6. The bag looks great and people at work thought it was just a new soft side briefcase. Buy this tail bag!

Great Tail Bag
This bag fits my R6S great. Like someone else said, it doesn't add anything to the looks of the bike, but it's not ugly. My only issue is that when I've got my laptop in it, it has a tendency to move more when going over bumps and potholes. Nothing major, hasn't fallen off yet, but it will come forward onto my seat. Overall a great bag, glad I bought it!

Love the travel bag but it should be adapt to a woman's packing to be raised up and out to the sides (expanded). The bag is great for travel or 2 nights stay. You have to roll your clothes in order to fit couple day’s worth but it will work.

Just what I was looking for
The size is exactly the same as the passenger seat on my Magna. It is easy to attach and remove. Although I have had it for only a few weeks, it appears to be well made and finished. I wasn't really interested in being able to expand it, but it is more useful than I would have expected. Good value.

Awesome bag!
I picked this bag up along with the saddlebags and the mini tank bag. I was able to use them for the first time this weekend and loved them! They fit together very nicely and have way more room than I needed for as short as my trip was. When just using the tail bag the bungee cords were awesome for holding it on and it didn't budge at all.

Attaches easily, lots of small compartments.
It's a nice compact day-bag for my Triumph Tiger 1050. It has enough room for jacket liners, rain gear, gloves, lunch, and a few odds and ends for a day tour in good weather. Good commuter bag. Inexpensive. I wish they'd make these with a waterproof shell, though. It has a rain cover, but it would be nice if they were water repellent from the get-go. Looks pretty good on the bike, unlike a top box.

Suits its purpose
I like it. The non-skid kept it from moving at all. It fit my R6 perfect without any adjustments. It doesn't do the look of the bike any favors, but it doesn't look too dorky either. I prefer it to wearing a heavy backpack. I can take it on/off in seconds.

Sport Tailbag
I used this tail bag with the sport saddlebags (tribag system) on my 2007 SV650. They look great on it, just what I was looking for. They hold a lot of stuff, they have more room than I thought they would. I'm going to visit friends when there camping and I feel they will hold enough stuff for a couple days. The fit was tight, the straps should be longer. With some adjustment I got them to work. Great bags.

Well made. Attaches easily with bungee cords included with bag. Multiple pockets and sides can be unzipped to expand if needed for larger item. Great bag. I use it on my Suzuki DR 650 dual purpose and Yamaha FZ1 bikes. Great features, looks good and easily detaches for carry into my workplace. The only mild/moderate concern is the potential durability of the zippers. Works well, just doesn't feel nearly as 'solid' as other backpack/bag zippers that I am used to. Overall, I would recommend. I just hope that the zippers are rugged enough for a few years of daily use.

After looking at other tailbags this one was the best one for my 06' FZ6. Fits perfectly on the back seat and the bungee cords can be hooked on the hand hold. Awesome bag, needs a little tweaking
I'm riding a 2002 Suzuki SV 650 and this bag rocks. It fits the passenger seat well, has a non-skid pad and has expansion zippers. The bag fits a change of clothes or two and my laptop computer so I say it's the perfect size. The only problem is I'm paranoid about relying on bungee cords to hold the bag to the bike or possibly abrading the plastic. A couple of feet of nylon webbing, a couple buckles some hand stitching and 2 hours it is solid. Love the bag.

Nice Bag
Good purchase but it doesn't quite fit the way I had hoped. Maybe it's just me. I'll work on it some more and see how things turn out. Overall, it's a good bag, just takes a bit to get a good secure position on my bike.

Perfect
I needed a bag that could fit my sleeping bag, tent, lantern and propane. This did it all with a bit of room to spare. It hooks up easy and so far no scratches to paint. I recommend this tail bag to anyone looking for a nice product for the money. The rain cover works great. My only slight gripe was the zippers seem like they might not last but no issues so far, they have healed every time. I give it a 4 on durability since i am not sure if they will still be in good shape in a year. I plan on camping a lot next spring so time shall tell.

Works Great for me
At first I thought about returning it because I thought it was too small and I would not be using it much. Well, was I wrong. Fits on my FZ6 fine with minor adjustments to the bungee cords. It holds a lot more than I thought. To top it off, if things get crowded, I just use the zippers on each side to expand the bag and it grows with space. I love it now. It also has side pockets for smaller items. I keep my safety vest (for riding on base), towel, and balaclava in these pockets. I also have a clear visor in the main compartment when day turns to night. It also comes with a waterproof cover. I don't think the waterproof cover will go on when the bag is expanded though. Bottomline: Great product and I'm glad I got it.

Perfect all-around luggage
This bag is everything I expected it to be and more. I use it by itself on my '08 Royal Enfield Bullet for everything from light grocery shopping to college commuting to short road trips (tools, clothes, etc). The built-in bungee cords are great so I can strap it onto the bike and use it as a briefcase later. It is unobtrusive and fits my Enfield's factory seat perfectly but doesn't slide around. I've so far been able to fit everything I needed to in it, even the larger items. Highly recommended, I couldn't be happier with it.

Great for my Vulcan 750
I have a 2006 Vulcan 750 with a small Kawasaki luggage rack. This tail bag fits perfect, looks great and the built-in bungees are just the right length. I haven't had to unzip the sides of the bag yet as I haven't needed the additional storage space.

Love It!
I've used this tail bag for two 20 mile trips already and it works great. I've stuffed it to it's max and it really stays on the back of my '07 Suzuki GSX-R 600. If you try to move it by tilting each side it moves but that is only if you have the bag extended. It hasn't fallen off and I feel like it is secure behind me so I have no worries when on the freeway. The color (blue) also goes great with my bike which is also blue and white.

Tailbag
The quality is great but it doesn't fit my Ninja that well. Since there is no place to strap it onto in the back of the bike, the bag is sitting a little forward. It is impossible for me to swing my leg over the bike with the bag on. It holds less than I thought it would. I put rain gear, pair of gloves and a jacket liner in and it is full. I was hoping to use it for a weekend getaway. It's still better than a knapsack.

Outstanding Bag
I bought this bag to carry small quantities of books and supplies back & forth to work without the hassle of a backpack/messenger bag. The bag is near perfect. It attaches to my bike, HD Softail Deluxe, easily and securely. It is also easy to carry around, like a small briefcase, stands up like a briefcase, and the hard rubber handle is perfect. The material and zippers are heavy duty. I would prefer the top opening and inner compartment to be just a bit larger for a standard size binder (without using the expandable sides). I would also like the side pouches to be larger than, at least as large as the side of the bag. It appears they were made smaller for looks, which sacrificed practicality and storage space. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone.

Good all around the town bag
I bought this bag to use on my Schwinn scooter. It fits on the small luggage rack behind the seat and works great for carrying everything from folders and notebooks to small bags of groceries and even a pair of boots on occasion. Excellent Tailbag
I'm really pleased with this tailbag. I use it for commuting and in the expanded mode I can fit a 15in laptop, assorted other gadgets, a pair of pants and some shoes. In the unexpanded mode it’s great for carrying an SLR, a bottle of water, phone etc. Its feels secure on the bike and I regularly use it at highway speeds without any kind of slippage. I haven't tested it in the rain yet so can't comment on its waterproofness but the included rain cover looks like it will do the job.

I am very happy with this tailbag. I was looking for something that would not ruin the image of my sport bike such as saddlebags or one of those big unsightly tank bags, and I found it! There is plenty of room in this tailbag to fit many items in. Small but well made bag fits fine on my Suzuki SV 650. There's a removable neoprene pad on the bottom of the bag. It looks like the bungee cords can be replaced if necessary, but the ones with the bag are fine so far. I might get the Cortech Saddle Bags now that I see how well made these things are. Cortech bags are winners!
I had seen many others using these bags, after much research I tried them out. They are great. No complaints. If you stuff them full, you can unzip an extension on the sides for even more space. They fit nicely on my 2005 R6 if you put them in front of the stock turn signals, if you want them back where they really belong, you need to get some kind of fender eliminator and remove the stock signals.

I love this tailbag. I took it on a three day trip and had plenty of room to put my rain gear and a change of clothes for 3 days. The bag fit ok on my bike, but I did tie a few knots on the ends of the bungies in order for it to fit tighter.

This is my briefcase. I use it everyday when I commute and it holds my lunch and any other assorted items I might need for the day. It fits well on my bike (2008 Ninja 250R) and is quite secure using the built in bungees w/ hooks. I don't even notice it is on the bike when I am riding. Great buy at the price. Great all-around tailbag
I have had this tailbag for about a month. I take it along when commuting back and forth to work mostly. So far I have had no major issues with it and have found it to be very useful. It fits great on my bike (Ninja 500R) and has plenty of space for extra helmet shield, clothes, tools, etc. It is quick and easy to attach and detach. The shoulder strap is very useful too, although it could be a bit more padded, heavier duty (although it would take up more storage space if that were the case). The hooks on the shoulder strap that clip on to the bag are plastic and are sometimes a struggle to get on and off as the clip part of the hook is a little funky - at least on mine. Nothing major, though. I am very happy with this bag overall and would buy it again. I highly recommend it.

Great Bag!
I've always purchased Cortech stuff; good quality and reasonable prices. This bag is no different. Enough room to put my work sneakers, scrubs, some small items, laptop and it expands if needed. The bungee cords were a bit too long so I just cut them and re-attached the ends. The hooks are plastic so they don’t scratch the paint as easily. There is a layer of neoprene under the bag so it doesn't move around. Highly recommended.

I bought the tail bag due to the failure of my saddlebags. When I first bought it the salesman told me it was a "Tankbag" which didn't work. Great tailbag for a sportbike!
I've had this bag through the last two riding seasons and I love it! No signs of wear yet; very well constructed. It is very roomy thanks to the expandable zip out sides, and sits very securely with the built in bungee cords and neoprene pad. Only nitpick is that the opening is a bit too small which makes it a challenge to fit in things like laptops or books.

The bag fits well on my SV650S once I removed the rear hooks and just tied loops in the bungees. Awesome!
I just got back from a road trip to Montana and was planning on taking a backpack and my new tail bag. I packed everything into my tail bag and ended up not even having to take a backpack. It didn't move at all on my '06 R6 even at high speeds, and I couldn't feel it in the turns. The only poor thing I can say about this is that it did scuff the paint on my bike, but it was worth it for the easy storage of all my stuff.

Another happy dual sporter
It is great on my Honda XR400R. A lot of room for those long dual sport rides. I also like to ride alone and it has plenty of room for my emergency gear in addition to my regular gear (spare tubes and all the normal stuff). No need for separate tool kit bags, tube bags, back packs, etc. It can expend to hold a lot of stuff. It is a great bag, made of very tough material and seems like it will hold up well. I have searched for bags for a while, this one was the only one that fit my needs.

Expandable sides allow me to fit larger items such as my laptop without issue. Lots of compartments to hold my stuff and the bag goes on and off easily. This has me looking at the matching saddle bags now.
Biggest gripe so far though regards the bungees. I've adjusted and re-adjusted them but the rears don't always want to stay attached. The bag will move some on

Review
Read reviews on other web sites the bag would fit the BMW F650 GS, unfortunately it doesn't, not without the bungee attachments hitting the exhaust and getting hot or rubbing the bodywork. For this application specifically, the bag is not suited.

Cortech Sport Tailbag
I love this bag! Not too high profile, expandable so it fits my laptop when I commute to work, and has room for shoes, skirt, and other accessories I need to fix helmet head. Great bag, easy to put on and take off bike, very affordable.
