I use this on my '04 Interceptor. Perfect for miscelleneous items like water, extra gloves, camera etc. I even can fit my laptop in it. In AZ, I have started the morning with heavier gloves, and my jacket liner. Next thing you know its 80 degrees after noon (yes in Feb) and off comes the liner, and I switch to lighter gloves. Very handy bag indeed. Wish I could use the side bags.

This is a truly great product - particularly if you are riding a sport bike. It is large enough to comfortably accommodate a large portfolio, 15" computer, a hat, telephone, and at least one book - I know this because mine does it every day. The only challenge is that you need to be a flexible person (do some Yoga or something) as you will need to kick your leg extra high to clear it when mounting your bike. Seriously... just buy one.

I first got this bag for my DR650 and liked its versatility and price, so I bought another for my V-Strom 1000. This is a great bag. Has enough room for most things and with the added expandability to attach matching side bags (Which I intend to get) it's a no-brainer.

I have an '05 sv650 and this bag is perfect. It works great as an overnight/weekend bag with plenty of room for a couple of changes of clothes and a few other items. Agreed on above comment that it makes it a bit more difficult to get on and off the bike, but that would be expected with any tail bag. Highly recommended!

F4i CBR 600 with highmount M4 exhaust. I cannot have saddle bags because of the exhaust. The tail bag was the best option. I didn't want to wear a backpack. Did a 400mi ride to Pismo Beach on Hwy 1 and 101 on the twisties. Had enough stuff packed for 4-5 days worth. I could've even put my laptop in there but that would've been competing with the boxers for the amount of days that I was taking. Good choice!

I bought this bag to use for commuting to and from work. It's big enough to hold my laptop, a book or two, and even a change of clothes (including boots). The design is well considered: it attaches and detaches to the bike easily with the four bungee chords; the shoulder strap is not fancy but sufficient; and the material on the underside of the bag keeps it from moving around on the seat. Great bag for a great price.

Excellent quality. Expanding sides allow you to really pack in the gear for touring. Collapsing the sides, makes the bag perfectly sized to hold a laptop, lunch, and a few other office-commuting essentials. Reinforced sides keep the bag holding its shape even when empty. Rain cover tends to fly off at highway speeds, so throw a net over the assembly before hitting the slab. If it were made of a material like gore-tex, it would get 5 stars.

This tailbag works perfectly on my H-D Sportster equipped with solo seat and fender rack. I use it as a day bag to hold wallet, sunglass case, ball cap, sunscreen, etc. Unzip the side expansion zippers, and the bag is large enough to hold 4 days' worth of clothing, maps, rain suit. I used it as a carry-on for a fly-and-ride trip and it held half helmet, camera, purse, reading material.

Great quality and design and easy to carry when off the bike. I'm also glad to have the dust/rain cover. I checked out several stores and web sites before settling on this one and I'm glad I did.

It is great on my Honda XR400R. A lot of room for those long dual sport rides. I also like to ride alone and it has plenty of room for my emergency gear in addition to my regular gear (spare tubes and all the normal stuff). No need for separate tool kit bags, tube bags, back packs, etc. It can expend to hold a lot of stuff. It is a great bag, made of very tough material and seems like it will hold up well. I have searched for bags for a while, this one was the only one that fit my needs.

I just got back from a road trip to Montana and was planning on taking a backpack and my new tail bag. I packed everything into my tail bag and ended up not even having to take a backpack. It didn't move at all on my '06 R6 even at high speeds, and I couldn't feel it in the turns. The only poor thing I can say about this is that it did scuff the paint on my bike, but it was worth it for the easy storage of all my stuff.

I had seen many others using these bags, after much research I tried them out. They are great. No complaints. If you stuff them full, you can unzip an extension on the sides for even more space. They fit nicely on my 2005 R6 if you put them in front of the stock turn signals, if you want them back where they really belong, you need to get some kind of fender eliminator and remove the stock signals.

I've always purchased Cortech stuff; good quality and reasonable prices. This bag is no different. Enough room to put my work sneakers, scrubs, some small items, laptop and it expands if needed. The bungee cords were a bit too long so I just cut them and re-attached the ends. The hooks are plastic so they don’t scratch the paint as easily. There is a layer of neoprene under the bag so it doesn't move around. Highly recommended.

This bag fits my R6S great. Like someone else said, it doesn't add anything to the looks of the bike, but it's not ugly. My only issue is that when I've got my laptop in it, it has a tendency to move more when going over bumps and potholes. Nothing major, hasn't fallen off yet, but it will come forward onto my seat. Overall a great bag, glad I bought it!

Same as my review of the bags. Buy this; you cannot go wrong with the package deal for less than $200...you can haul a ton of gear on a sportbike. As I write this, I am 800 miles into a 1500 mile, 10 day motorcycle camping road trip complete with tent, sleeping bag, etc...lashed on top of the tail bag! all on my 2008 baby Ninja 250!

This bag fits my FZ6 really well. I had to use a bit of unconventional means to attach it due to the under the tail exhaust on the bike. However, after I got that figured out the tailbag stays put really well. The bag has plenty of space to take my lunch and other items too. I have not had to expand the sides of the bag yet even. So far mine is holding up great, and I would fully recommend this bag to someone looking for a tailbag.

Looked around for something that would be large enough to carry just some basic tools/accessories and normal shoes/clothes... A tank bag is too small. This was the perfect size for day trips and around town.

The color is a nice match with the paint on the bike. The bungie cords attach easily through the passenger hand holds and latch securely around the side reflectors. The attachment is secure and space is adequate for small shopping trips. The bag was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition.

This is a great tail bag. I purchased this shortly after I got the matching mini-tank bag because I started going on longer rides on my Ninja. I decided against the saddle bags because I'm not sure how long I'll keep this bike before I go cruiser. Its expandable sides are really a nice feature. You can really get everything you need in this bag for a 1-3 day ride.

I use this on a DL650. It fits perfectly on the stock luggage rack. The built-in bungees and hooks attach nicely to the luggage rack and the passenger foot pegs. I've been using this on my daily commute for two months with no durability issues. It attaches/detaches quickly and doubles as a handy carry bag for clothes, supplies, equipment, whatever. No issues with it staying securely connected to the bike at freeway speed - I forget it's there.

I purchased this tailbag along with the Cortech Sport Saddlebags last month. It is made well and has a surprising amount of space. I was able to pack a 17” laptop, a pair of (my size 14!) shoes, a hat, and still had room to spare! It comes with a shoulder strap you can use to carry the bag with you once you arrive at your destination. Great product - highly recommend it.

Its the perfect bag for my Yamaha raider. Sleek design, not too big and not too small. Has expansion zippers on side pockets if you need extra room. Comes with its own rain cover, extra carrying straps, multiple pockets inside. Has a wetsuit bottom so it doesn’t slid on your seat. The bungee chord hooks are a perfect fit on the bungee knobs (Don’t forget to order the knobs for a great custom look/fit).

Paired this with a set of Cortech Sport Saddlebags for my Suzuki GSXR 750 and they rarely leave my bike. I love how easily it attached to the saddle bags and how much space it can all hold if I want to use all the expansions. The extra pockets are handy for all the little items (phone, extra keys, towel for the visor, etc). My bike has the eliminated tail so it was a little tricky at first to find a place to attach it, but using saddle bags straps in conjunction with two of the bungee straps from this the thing never moves! Definitely happy with my purchase!

I used the included bungee cords and strapped it down at the passenger footpeg brackets in the front and the license plate bracket in the rear. Worked great. Jumped on and rode 375 miles to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Rock solid at triple digit speeds for extended periods. And if you are ever ANYWHERE near Birmingham, by all means, take the time togo to the Barber museum. It is sensational by any standard. Right off I-20 on the east side of town.

I replaced an earlier version I used for so many years that the fabric holding the zippers sun bleached to red from black. The reason for replacing it, however, was that the elastic cords had lost their strength and it proved too complicated to replace them. I took the opportunity to change to the bright blue color for my blue Bandit. The size and easy opening accommodates my gym bag well, without having to use the expansions and each pocket can carry a pint water bottle. For three day weekend rides, the use of expansion was sufficient for clothes changes and walking shoes for the entire weekend. The pack is stable on the passenger seat and does not sag on the sides if not expanded. Inside pockets in zippered top provide a place for a small note pad for trip notes.

When we received it, we realized it was indeed the wrong item, but like all other Cortech items, it is true to its description, and looks even better in person! A great, well made stylish bag. I put it on the pillion seat on my Ulysses and it looks perfect. Since its such a tall bike, getting my leg over it with this bag on has caused some issues, mainly with my pants. I have blown the crotch out of 2 pairs swinging my leg over the bike with it on. I don't have the agility to do the straight leg, flying kick over the seat I see a lot of guys do and I am tall enough to swing my leg over it. I just have to make sure my pants are hiked all the way up.

I have an 08 zx-14 and the bags fit great on the bike. I use it for commuting to and from work. The bag does not move even when riding at high speeds. Only thing I noticed is the cords started scuffing the paint where they touched the body so I put clear vinyl protective tape on those spots, but I think this would have happened no matter which type of bag I had gotten. I would and have recommended this bag to others, and would definitely buy another one.

Excellent quality / finish very durable. Fits perfectly on my KLR out of the box. Have the bungees connected to license plate frame and passenger peg guards. Had this bag loaded up with 20-25~ Lb of gear and it didn't move an inch while travelling over extremely bumpy terrain. Bag has plenty of room for essentials and is adequate for a day trip. Managed to fit 2 pairs of pants, socks, 2 shirts, boots, a liter bottle of soda, and some snacks in it with the bag fully expanded. Attaches / Detaches quickly. Currently hunting female snap-buckle connectors so I can attach and detach it without fiddling with bungee cords. Great bag. I use it on my Suzuki DR 650 dual purpose and Yamaha FZ1 bikes. Great features, looks good and easily detaches for carry into my workplace. The only mild/moderate concern is the potential durability of the zippers. Works well, just doesn't feel nearly as 'solid' as other backpack/bag zippers that I am used to. Overall, I would recommend. I just hope that the zippers are rugged enough for a few years of daily use.

I'm riding a 2002 Suzuki SV 650 and this bag rocks. It fits the passenger seat well, has a non-skid pad and has expansion zippers. The bag fits a change of clothes or two and my laptop computer so I say it's the perfect size. The only problem is I'm paranoid about relying on bungee cords to hold the bag to the bike or possibly abrading the plastic. A couple of feet of nylon webbing, a couple buckles some hand stitching and 2 hours it is solid. Love the bag.

I needed a bag that could fit my sleeping bag, tent, lantern and propane. This did it all with a bit of room to spare. It hooks up easy and so far no scratches to paint. I recommend this tail bag to anyone looking for a nice product for the money. The rain cover works great. My only slight gripe was the zippers seem like they might not last but no issues so far, they have healed every time. I give it a 4 on durability since i am not sure if they will still be in good shape in a year. I plan on camping a lot next spring so time shall tell.

I bought this bag to carry small quantities of books and supplies back & forth to work without the hassle of a backpack/messenger bag. The bag is near perfect. It attaches to my bike, HD Softail Deluxe, easily and securely. It is also easy to carry around, like a small briefcase, stands up like a briefcase, and the hard rubber handle is perfect. The material and zippers are heavy duty. I would prefer the top opening and inner compartment to be just a bit larger for a standard size binder (without using the expandable sides). I would also like the side pouches to be larger than, at least as large as the side of the bag. It appears they were made smaller for looks, which sacrificed practicality and storage space. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone.

I've had this bag through the last two riding seasons and I love it! No signs of wear yet; very well constructed. It is very roomy thanks to the expandable zip out sides, and sits very securely with the built in bungee cords and neoprene pad. Only nitpick is that the opening is a bit too small which makes it a challenge to fit in things like laptops or books.

The bag fits well on my SV650S once I removed the rear hooks and just tied loops in the bungees. My only complaint with the bag is that two of the plastic zipper pulls have broken off when using the bag is cold weather (20 degrees). Otherwise, the bag has been fantastic and can carry a full size laptop once expanded.

I have had this tailbag for about a month. I take it along when commuting back and forth to work mostly. So far I have had no major issues with it and have found it to be very useful. It fits great on my bike (Ninja 500R) and has plenty of space for extra helmet shield, clothes, tools, etc. It is quick and easy to attach and detach. The shoulder strap is very useful too, although it could be a bit more padded, heavier duty (although it would take up more storage space if that were the case). The hooks on the shoulder strap that clip on to the bag are plastic and are sometimes a struggle to get on and off as the clip part of the hook is a little funky - at least on mine. Nothing major, though. I am very happy with this bag overall and would buy it again. I highly recommend it.

At first I thought about returning it because I thought it was too small and I would not be using it much. Well, was I wrong. Fits on my FZ6 fine with minor adjustments to the bungee cords. It holds a lot more than I thought. To top it off, if things get crowded, I just use the zippers on each side to expand the bag and it grows with space. I love it now. It also has side pockets for smaller items. I keep my safety vest (for riding on base), towel, and balaclava in these pockets. I also have a clear visor in the main compartment when day turns to night. It also comes with a waterproof cover. I don't think the waterproof cover will go on when the bag is expanded though. Bottomline: Great product and I'm glad I got it.

I used this tail bag with the sport saddlebags (tribag system) on my 2007 SV650. They look great on it, just what I was looking for. They hold a lot of stuff, they have more room than I thought they would. I'm going to visit friends when there camping and I feel they will hold enough stuff for a couple days. The fit was tight, the straps should be longer. With some adjustment I got them to work. Great bags.

Easy on and off with no shifting during the ride. The tail bag connected easily and complimented the whole look. The bags held 6 days of supplies and I didn't even expand the set.

I got the blue one. It's a wee smaller than I thought but great for getting small grocery items, carrying books, or extra gear like gloves, visor, extra sweater, etc.
I have been very happy with it. My only dig is that the side zipper pockets are very narrow. Probably only fit a cell phone, or something long and thin like a check book, wallet, small bungee, or small Maglight. Overall I am quite pleased!

The bag fits well on the back seat, and it mounts securely to the bike. I have ridden at 65 mph with the rain cover on, and it has never given me a reason to think it will be pulled off by the wind, and it keeps the bag perfectly dry even in a downpour. The only fault I can find is that the quality on my bag seems to be lacking a bit. One of the seams on a non-crucial part started to come unraveled, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed with a needle and thread.

I bought this bag three years ago for my ZZR. I used it almost daily since I commute on my bike. It fit on my bike well and I liked the way it expands at the sides. It could swallow my laptop bag with my computer and accessories and still have room for a book, my wallet and a few other small things. The non-slip pad works well enough, it kept the bag on my bike even a couple of times when I forgot to hook up the bungees. I'm disappointed with the durability because the zippers have recently come apart and a hole has developed in one corner. The non-slip pad started coming apart soon after I got it. However, considering how much I've used this bag over the three years I've had, I guess it held up pretty well.

That's right. I use it on my 1600 Vulcan cruiser. I know it was designed more specifaclly for sport bike use, and I believe that it wouls serve that function as good or better than most of the other products out there. it turns out just to be the perfect bag to strap onto my luggage rack. You can't fit a helmet into it, but that was not what it was designed for. As far as the many other things you may want to carry along on your journey, this is the perfect detachable travelling bike bag. It is quality construction. It has a reasonable degree of expandability, and it just plain looks good. I recomment it.

I've used this tail bag for two 20 mile trips already and it works great. I've stuffed it to it's max and it really stays on the back of my '07 Suzuki GSX-R 600. If you try to move it by tilting each side it moves but that is only if you have the bag extended. It hasn't fallen off and I feel like it is secure behind me so I have no worries when on the freeway. The color (blue) also goes great with my bike which is also blue and white.

I'm a bike commuter and was tired of carrying around my backpack, especially on 90 degree summer days, so I bought this. I was a little concerned about my laptop fitting, but with a little maneuvering it slides right in. To have the laptop fit I do have to open one of the expansion zippers on the side though.
It's easy enough to get on and off my Triumph with the factory panniers, and it doesn't look like a suitcase when you carry it around at work. The shoulder strap is a nice addition. There's not much in the way of organization in the main compartment. It's pretty much one big space, but it is amazingly roomy given its small size, and at the price it's hard to beat.

Good fit and finish. I normally buy a soft tackle box from a local sporting goods store, because of the cost and number of pockets that are part of those type of bags. It is usually a challenge mounting those bags, however. The Cortech bag attaches and detaches easily and will be a lot better for day trips and multi day trips because it can be taken off and used for an overnight bag. Also, it comes with a neat rain cover.

Perfect for what I needed, the bag is easy on - easy off and fits my bike very well. My only problem really is the bulkiness of my rain gear so my bag is mostly full from the get go. Still, good product, my only suggestion would be adjustable bungee cords as I have a little slack to deal with.

The quality is great but it doesn't fit my Ninja that well. Since there is no place to strap it onto in the back of the bike, the bag is sitting a little forward. It is impossible for me to swing my leg over the bike with the bag on. It holds less than I thought it would. I put rain gear, pair of gloves and a jacket liner in and it is full. I was hoping to use it for a weekend getaway. It's still better than a knapsack.

I used to have a set of saddlebags for my old Katana - and I can't believe how much better these are! The tail pack doubles as my workday briefcase, cleans up with soap and water, fits my 15" MacBook Pro, and doesn't mess up either the seat or the solo cowl on my VFR800 - and the addition of the saddlebags looks great, stays put, and allowed me to go camping (with an added tank bag and a bedroll/tent bungee-netted on) for 9 days w/o needing to do laundry! I love this luggage!

This is a nice little bag, pretty sporty looking, and well-made too. Although it is a bit smaller than my last tailbag (J.R.-Velocity), and once you get used to a certain capacity, it's hard to go down. The dimensions should be listed on the site.. or at least tell you how many bottles of beer you can fit in it. If Tour Master sent me the saddlebags for free, then I'd definitely give it that coveted 5th star.
