Rally Pack perfect for sport bikes
Well I was able to try the Rally pack these past few days. I have a 2000 Honda CBR 600 F4 the pack mounted very nice on the passenger seat with no movement on the twisty roads in the Rockies. -Very nice finish -I was able to fit 1 pair jeans,2 shorts,3 tee shirts,3 under garments,3 socks and a first aid kit. -Rain cover works perfectly. I cannot say anything bad about this luggage. Other than don't wear a Back pack with tailbag because you cannot sit upright this was my fault LOL Thanks Again & safe riding.

Lots of roomy, great value!
I was hesitant at first, I thought it would be of cheap quality, but I gave it a shot. Boy, was I surprised. It fits great on my Suzuki Bandit 1200s. The material is of the same quality nylon as my Tour Master tank bag. It doesn't have a lot in terms of features, but it makes up for it in the space it offers. The straps are very straight forward, very durable with liners to protect the finish. No brainer in attaching the bag, easy on and off. I like the rain cover sewn into the bag and tucks away into it's own zippered pocket. Heard of too many stories of covers blowing off, that shouldn't be a problem. Overall, I'm very happy with it, I feel good about getting something of quality and saving a few dollars. Highly recommend it for those on a budget.

I'm riding an S83 Boulevard and we were able to put the bag on the seat behind me and attach the bag to the bike. It's big enough to carry what I need-change of clothes, a towel, and water along with my wallet and cell phone. I love it.

Great bag for the price
First I must say that for the price this bag is GREAT!! I own a Suzuki SV650 2006, and this bag fits perfectly. I use this bag for extended day trips or even quick weekend trips. It fits great and it doesn't look bad on the SV. And honestly, the bag has a lot of space. On an overnight trip, I was able to fit my sneakers, jeans, t-shirts, and my essentials. I would say that for your day to day things, this bag is too big. For that I use the Joe Rocket Mantra. I recommend both bags.

Dowco Rally Pack Value Tail bag
This is a good piece of luggage for the price. I use it to carry my lunch, shoes, etc. for my daily commute to work. It fits sport bikes with the long seats very well. No adjustment needed, but the wider and flatter the seat area the better. This is the second bag of this brand I purchased. I included my first bag with the sale of my old GS500. It had a narrower seat in which the bag rested on thus when cinching down the straps it would curl the bottom of the bag a bit which decreased the carrying volume of the bag. No scuffs on the bikes either. The more expensive version of this bag has extra pockets etc. but this one works for me.

Dowco Rally Tail Bag Is Good too
This works very well with the saddle bags to match. I can fit my laptop (albeit very snugly) inside. Gives me quick access to my main things. When it’s hot I can put my mesh jacket inside. Again the same comments as the saddlebags. Good price. Works well. Looks good. Fits secure and snug. Weather cover works great. Overall a good purchase. I ride a 250 ninja for commuting.

Useful tailrack bag.
My Ducati MultiStrada has a small rack. I needed a little bag to attach to it. This bag fit very well. There are several clip on straps for the 4 bottom rings on the bag. I used two of the looped straps to secure the front of the back below my bikes rear seat. Crossed them and cinched the pullstraps to tension it. The rear of the bag is held down by a single cross under strap with clips on each end. I folded over it the included velcro'd cover, since it sits just above the tailpipes.
I wish the bag had the option for a zip in bag to hold small parts, tools etc. But it is amazingly roomy. A full bag of groceries fits inside.
The attached waterproof cover is quite trick and works well.
A good value for what it is.

It would be nice if it had nylon D rings on the bottom corners for alternate mounting methods.
But other than that it makes a great tail bag for my KLX250s.

Great bag!
I ride an '08 Suzuki GSX650F and this bag fits great. Just slipped the two rear hoops around the luggage pegs on the grab rail. Then pulled the female straps through the foot peg brackets, pulled it through the open loop in the strap and connected the straps to the bag. Fits awesome, very tight and very secure. Looks rather horrible though... Does not fit the lines of the bike very well, but I don't really care since looks alone don't justify spending $100 more for a better looking, but smaller bag.
As an insurance agent who rides the motorcycle every day of the year I need to carry around a lot of stuff. This works best in combo with the Rapid Transit Recon 19 magnetic tank bag. I can stuff all my papers, a 10.1'' screen laptop, food and extra clothes into the Rally Pack with room to spare. And the Recon 19 is used for a 2 liter bladder, all my valuables and a few small things. This Dowco bag also feels extremely high quality and straps on/off the bike in under a minute. Point is, this bag has enormous storage capabilities, but don't expect to go touring with just that bag alone. The lack of pockets will be a big problem on a long ride. On the flip side, this bag is great for commuting since it probably has more storage that you'll ever need for day to day riding. Even for me, and I carry a portable library.

I initially bought the Joe Rocket Manta Tail Pack but I returned it because it was too small. This pack is over 2 times larger than that one. I can store about 3 pairs of jeans or a pair of 12 sized Nike Boots and a couple of shirts into the bag.

Nice tail bag
I hate reading long reviews so I will say that this tail bag fits very nice, has A LOT of room, and looks to be made very well (durable). Unfortunately I have not used it yet as its 20 degrees here but I get together with a lot of group rides during the summer and always have a bunch of stuff with me - maps, lunch, drinks, fruit, etc, so I feel like this tail bag will fit all of that AND more. I had to call MS and they referred me to Dowco. Dowco customer service was awesome - I told them I only received 2 straps instead of 4 and how I was very unsatisfied. They wrote my address down and express shipped the other 2 straps to me. Thanks MS and Dowco for being great companies, and always fixing little mistakes like that.

One nice Tail Bag
I was surprised the quality was so good on the Dowco - Rally Pack Value Tail Bag. I took the two female connectors off of the extra straps and used them in place of two male connectors on the bag. This allowed me to connect the bag directly around the rear seat.

Love my tail bag!
I ride a 2006 Honda Shadow VLX Deluxe & although I have 2 small saddlebags, I needed storage for essentials: ex rain suit, night glasses etc. Wasn't sure how this bag would be on a cruiser but it looks/works GREAT! Called DOWCO for extra clips and they sent them asap at NC. Even have the added benefit of it being a nice backrest. If anyone would like to see pics, would be glad to share. Great price for a quality product...don't hesitate to order this bag.

Dowco - Rally Pack Value Tail Bag
Am very happy with this bag. Its low cost compared to all others but it's not built cheap - it's a solid unit. The built in rain fly works very well and is a nice feature. There are no other compartments - just the interior of the bag itself is all there is, but that's okay. Two good zippers and one velcro strip to close it. Not crazy about velcro but generally I can get in and out without really having to deal with the velcro all that much. The fastening system is a little clunky but in the end the bag is fastened securely and it looks good.

Awesome bag - even on a cruiser!
I ride a Honda 600 VLX and although I have small (very) saddlebags, I needed more "trunk space". This bag is perfect and looks great on my cruiser; even have the added benefit of it acting as a back rest as well! Instructions were not great, but called Dowco and they immediately sent me 2 connectors at NC - impressive. I am very satisfied with Motorcycle superstore, too. Great product and did not have to spend the big bucks to get it.

GREAT BAG for my KLR650!!
This bag seems to be a PERFECT fit for my 2006 KLR650. The rear luggage rack was identical in size/shape to hold this bag! It took about 10 min to figure out which straps to use and how to buckle them down (loop around tail lights & run one strap under rear fender!). The extra straps hide in the side of the bag, very clever! This bag is big enough to hold a pair of pants, gloves, shirt, maybe some shoes. I would say it closely resembles a bowling-ball bag in size.
Overall, the construction seems very nice for the price (which is a steal!). Get one, especially if you own a KLR650, since it fits this bike perfectly! You will be very happy with it!! A++

I am able to store my work clothes and shoes nicely inside. They hook quickly to the saddle bags. I actually never take them off the saddle bags at the end of the day. I just release the saddle bags and 1 tail bag clip and I am done. Great deal on the whole package.

Good tail bag for the price
The straps were a little long for my '02 Blast, but I was able to easily shorten them w/ a little thread and 10minutes of time. This bag holds enough for a day trip and remained dry during a ride in a downpour. I'm happy enough to get the matching saddlebags soon.

A little smaller than expected...
A guy previously mentioned it would fit a 15 inch laptop. Wow! It was difficult. The instructions are really bad. The value is there, but I really didn't like it. I'll be returning mine.

Fits Dell 15 in laptop (standard screen)
I mainly bought this bag to hold my laptop to commute to work. It can hold a few stacks of papers along with the laptop. You'll have to finesse the laptop in, but it will get in there. The straps fit onto my 2008 Suzuki SV650. I wish it could be a little tighter, but I'll probably use clips to make sure the straps/buckles don't slip while riding. The price is definitely right.

I ride an SV650 and the bag is perfect for this bike. Attaches easily (the instructions are poorly written) once you figure out how to do it the first time. Looks good on the bike and good for a day trip. Well made and inexpensive. Liked it so much I later bought the matching saddle bags. It snaps directly to the saddle bags and all look good on this bike. A real value.

A great bargain tail bag
My bike is a 1985 Suzuki GS700. This tail bag replaces my briefcase I take to the office everyday. It actually held more than my briefcase. The instructions are confusing, but a few minutes fitting it to the bike and it works great. The rear strap fits over the tail light and the side straps click in place. Cinch it up and it stays at all speeds. Inner dividers and/or pockets would help, but it is a great product for the price.

Rally Pack Tail Bag
This bag fits great on the 2005 FZ1. The only thing I would change would to provide connectors for the back strap so that it could be wrapped around the seat like the front strap, other than that its perfect. The bag is the best for the money. I use the built in rain guard daily not just for rain but to help keep the bag from fading in the hot Florida sun.

Can't believe I used a backpack for so long!!
I slugged my work stuff (laptop, files and other junk) on a backpack for 3 years before I found this little number. It is a great little bag. I ride a Kawasaki ZX-6R and it fits perfectly. It all my work stuff perfectly and could probably be used for a one or two day trip. And if I still need to, I can use a backpack and it doesn't interfere with my riding position. A Great bag for the money.

I bought this tail bag to serve as extra storage, in addition to the two saddlebags on my bike. The bag fits very nicely on the passenger seat of my cruiser and is fairly simple to fasten down with the provided attached straps (the straps are in the bottom four corners of the bag). Additionally, I really like that the rain cover is attached to the tail bag in a little pocket, so one can easily remove it and cover the bag, when necessary. (The rain cover is a waterproof cover that has an elastic band to hold it on).

I can't believe I lugged a backpack for so long!
All the reviews are true. Great bag for the money. It fit my Ninja ZX6R in about 5 minutes and stays in place nicely. I like the little tucked away rain cover in front. I use it to the office and back but wouldn't hesitate to use it for a one night (maybe two nights) trip. If I had any wish, it would be for a small pocket for house keys, cell phone. You have to put them in with everything else so you sometimes find yourself fishing for them. But that's a small drawback for a great bag.

Good basic bag
I needed something to carry a few things like my laptop to and from work, but didn't want to spend a fortune. In that regard, it fits the bill nicely, and I recommend it, but remember that you get what you pay for.
If you are looking to put something in it that is near the maximum dimensions listed, be aware that it might be a challenge to get it in and out of the bag. The velcro strip where the top of the bag attaches sticks out into the opening about 1-1.5", and makes the opening considerably smaller than the bag itself. I have a Dell Latitude D620, which is a widescreen model, and I have to put it in at an angle, and really pull the edge of the bag over the edge of the laptop to put it in, and it only fits in the very center of the bag where it is widest. If I had a case on the laptop, or put too much stuff underneath it in the bag, it likely wouldn't fit at all.

This pack works well and will fit almost any bike. The styling makes the usable space smaller than the numbers and you really can't get much in it besides some raingear and a few small items. I can get a laptop in there, but then not much else will fit. Overall an exceptional value for what it is.

Tail Bag
I had to get creative to get it to fit on the back of my Honda 600rr because of the under tail exhaust. I ended up running the rear strap under the removable seat (instead of under the rear part of the tail) and it worked great. I love the bag- it's huge. And every girl needs a trunk! It holds everything and more. It doesn't budge at all on the back of the bike whether I'm flying down I95 or cruising on back roads. I recommend it strongly.

The Dowco Rally Pack Value Tail Bag is awesome! It was a great price and was perfect for our 2 night, 3-day riding and hotel trip. Wasn't enough room to do camping, but was a no-brainer at this price. Similar to another reviewer, I cut off the rain cover so I could use the outside pocket as storage. It was a little confusing to put on at first. The extra straps need to noose themselves on the frame. Better visual instructions would be good, but that is my only complaint. Killer bag--buy it and you won't regret it.

Great tail bag!
I use this tail bag on my 2007 DRZ-400s, fits great and snug, plenty of room for a day trip - not quite big enough to fit a full face helmet in though. But I have a spare face shield, helmet bag, umbrella, rain jacket, tire repair/patch kit, water bottles, and other knickknacks with a little room to spare. I got to ride in a heavy downpour with it, and the attached rain cover worked perfectly. No complaints about this tail bag. It's well made and does what it advertises.

Terrific Tailbag
Dowco Tail Bag fits my Yamaha FZ1 perfectly. It is held securely by three (3) adjustable straps, and does not move around at all! The Velcro, and two zipper closures makes a secure closing that is dynamite. The unit has a compact look, yet holds a huge amount of cargo. Can't beat the price and the Rally Pack is for sure more bang for the buck. The quality was better than I expected and I didn't even feel like it was on the bike fully loaded with clothes, water, snacks, etc. The rubber sided straps hold it on like it was part of the bike. I had to monkey with it a few times to find the right areas to strap it to but after that you're golden. There is plenty of length for any bike. I highly recommend this product.

Dowco - Rally Pack Tail Bag
Outstanding value for the money. Fits great on a H.D. Night Train FXSTB 2007. The front hold downs I attached under the Engine Control Module (ECM) mount under the seat. The rear hold down just goes under the rear part of the seat at the seat screw. The Pack is easy to use and removal for maintenance under the seat. The shape of the Pack follows the lines of the motorcycle. Just would like to have the bottom of the Pack to be stiffer. Other than that it fits the bill.

I found this bag to be a perfect fit for my KLR650. Many mounting straps allow you to accommodate many mounting situations. Mine mounted facing front (opening toward the front). A small storage compartment across the back hides a rain cover which I cut off. Put the cover inside the bag, used the compartment for more storage. This is just the right bag for carrying all the items necessary for a daylong trip.
