excellent purchase
This tank bag is exactly what i expected. can do a full days ride and keep sunglasses/eyeglasses in their pockets, cell phone out top and a map inside. plenty of room for casual wear when you get to your destination. not enough room for a laptop but more reason to leave it at home.

Rapid Transit - Recon 19 Magnetic Tank Bag
1979 BMW R100s vintage bike - Not only does the bag look very good on the bike it really fits well on this 30 year old bike. It's on and off the bike very quickly and easily. It converts to a day pack quickly for trips to town or short hikes. Quality construction and good design. I found the glasses pockets worked better for my wallet. The cell phone pocket didn't fit my large smart phone but was an excellent fit for my SPOT. The map pocket is so so but most now have GPS anyway. If it were stolen today I'd order another one tomorrow, I'm that happy with it.

I like it. Strong magnets and well constructed. Lots of features. It is on the small to medium side size wise but that is what I wanted.

This bag is PERFECT for my Suzuki Sv650s
Took the summer off, and have been taking my bike to the beach almost every day, this bag holds it ALL...change of clothes, towel, blanket, cell phone, wallet, sunblock, etc...does not interfere with maneuverability at all. Take it off, attach the straps, and my backpack goes to the beach with me. After long rides, makes a nice pillow as well. Very durable and a compartment for absolutely everything. Highly recommend this bag!

good bag
This bag is great! Lots of room, many pockets, and lots of features. The magnets hold well. The only reason I didn't give everything a 5 is that I don't really care for the plastic pockets on the top. Anything in those pockets are going to get hot. And I can't really look at them that well while I’m driving anyway.

Excellent Bag
People I trust said it was a good bag, and there were a lot of specific comments on the magnets being. So I got the bag, shipped overnight (which is surprisingly inexpensive) and it worked great on the trip, held my rain gear, and a visor, and a lock, and my hat, and sunglasses, and visor wipes. If there's anything negative I can say it's that the straps aren't quite long enough to work as a backpack for me. I may be using it upside down though. I like the zipper pulls and how they're hooked together, it makes it really easy to close even when it's somewhat overloaded. Oh, and the magnets are SUPER strong. The thing doesn't budge! Even at extra legal speeds (lol).

Awesome bag!!
I've been using this bag almost daily for a few weeks. I can fit a full change of clothes and toiletries for the gym. I want to take a trip next month and this will hold all the things I need for a weekend trip. Magnets are strong and keep the bag stable. Bag came with a removable shoulder strap and backpack straps, both removable.

Very Versatile
This tank bag is a very versatile commuter bag. The shoulder straps can be attached and then just tucked under the side magnet flaps when the bag is on the bike. Pull it off the bike, tuck the flaps under and throw the strap over your shoulder and you're off. The shape is slightly narrow for a laptop (Apple Macbook) and it takes a little finesse to close with said laptop in the bag. The map window pocket is near-useless due to GPS, however it is a very usable place for gizmo instructions. I highly recommend the hydration bag. Fill it, freeze it and you'll have a cool sip at hand for those longer trips. There are a lot of good nooks and crannies for all your goodies. The quality is good.

Very happy with the bag, but don't throw away your luggage
I've really enjoyed the Recon 19 Magnetic Tank Bag so far. The features are great. The many pockets really help me stay organized. I've used both the hydration features and mp3 player features on long trips. The magnets seem to be holding the bag to the tank just fine. Overall, you can tell a lot of thought was put into the design. The only word of caution is around the size. I'm not saying the size is bad, but if you're like me, you want a bag that small enough to be comfortable, and big enough to hold everything you want. Unfortunately, I don't think that exists. This bag is definitely more on the comfortable side than the roomy side. I generally end up taking a backpack with me also when I go to work, but going to the gym, I can fit my shoes and gym clothes in the bag fine, but it's pretty full after that. The good side to that is it doesn't feel like it's in the way, and you can lie down on the tank a decent amount.

Perfect for audio player
This bag is just the right size and is great for lying down across to get low on the bike. I installed some small speakers with an external jack in my helmet, so that I can listen to music as I ride. Until I got this bag I just put my ipod in my jacket, but now I can put it in the map window and port the wiring through the audio port in the bag. I can easily press all the buttons and can even use the scroll wheel through the plastic as long as I take a glove off. The shoulder straps are easy to pull out and just snap into place, but I found that it's even easier to just leave one shoulder strap on. When the bag is on the bike I push the strap over the opposite side of the bag and it sits firmly out of the way. My only complaint is that the main double zipper could be of better quality, since they don't pull simultaneously very well.

Recon 19 Tank Bag
I have found the bag to be an excellent buy. The fit is great on my 2009 Ninja 650 and even on the highway with higher winds the magnets held it firmly in place. They stow very easily and the backpack straps attach quickly for walking around. The bag is a perfect size for day trips and carries everything I could need and then some. The sunglass pouch, and the map pouch could be bit bigger but overall I am enjoying this product very much.

Best Tank Bag Of All Time.
Compact, tough and light. Strong magnets! More than enough pockets. I can even put my 13 inch laptop in the bag. I cannot say enough positive things about this bag. Only thing I wish it came with was the drinking reservoir and tube. But at least it has access for one if you want to add it.

Great bag with abrasive magnets.
I recently had this bag in front of me on a 5 day trip through Colorado. The bag suited my needs perfectly and had tons of room for all the junk I was carrying with me. Lots of storage but not so big it gets in your way. Something this bag seems to suffer from though is TOO MANY features. There are pockets everywhere! The tethered double zippers make access very easy with gloves on. The map pocket is too small for a folded standard map. Also, be careful to keep the magnet contact areas clean and free of sand and grit or your finish will be deeply scratched.

Outstanding fit and finish. Not a large bag, but perfect for day touring. Super secure and easily converts into a pack when you get off the bike. Fits very well with the sporting lines of my Lemans.

Recon 19
The bag is great however it is much smaller than I expected it to be from the pictures. Go by liter size if you're trying to get an understanding of volume this thing can hold. Also the magnets in the front may not stick to your tank if you a split tank with part of it being metal and plastic/carbon fiber. Overall great bag for a small number of things and a quick commute.

Great commuter bag
Except for being slightly smaller than I wanted and an odd shaped map window (with the TomTom Rider attached to the handlebars, this point is moot) the Recon 19 is a great commuter bag. I can attach the backpack straps and tuck them under the magnetic flaps when attaching to the bike and it's a quick-on/quick-off pack. There are plenty of pockets, nooks and crannies. I added the 2 liter hydro bag and I can catch a sip here and there during a long ride. If you like to ride to work, this is a great bag for a laptop and other work stuff.

Recon 19 Magnetic Tank
I love this tank bag, I mostly use it for my lunch every day, and it works out great. The size of the main compartment is perfect and I can fill the side pockets with anything else I need. I usually go straight to the gym after work so the MP3 pocket allows that versatility. I ride a Hayabusa, so the shape of the bag flows with the line of my busa.

recon rapid transit tank bag
Bag is just big enough that I usually don't have to wear a backpack anymore. $80 bucks to carry $12 worth of stuff...? What I like most about the bag is that its biggest bag that's just small enough to still get into a full tuck.(if that even makes sense) In addition, its way more comfortable to get into a tuck position with the bag on than without it. I just lay on the bag. Less strain on my back, neck, arms and wrists.

Outstanding magnet placement. Also the bag has plenty of room for everything required of both short and long rides. Would like more area for map visibility though.

Great tank bag
Pretty neat design, works well on my little 2009 Kawi Ninja 250R, not too big, not too small. The magnets hold well and don't seem to scratch the paint (if you're careful with putting it on and taking it off). It's big enough to be very useful, and holds a bunch of stuff, but not so big that it gets in the way. The shoulder straps are nice and work well, but I wish it had a built-in carrying handle that was a bit more convenient. The only other minor complaint I have is that the zipper tab for the cell phone compartment gets caught up with the zipper for the main compartment. The ability to use a hydration bladder is great for long rides. We have one for each of our bikes, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Rapid Transit Recon 19 Tank Bag
I truly love this bag. Though I wish it had a bit more storage capacity, it's a trade-off for a sleek looking tank bag. It stays on nice and snug, and converts to an over-the-shoulder bag very easily.
Very pleased with the bag and with Motorcycle Superstore.

Fits Nicely
The bag fits my bike nice and it seems to be made very well. The magnets hold very well. One at the front, one on each side and one on the pull out tank protector in the back (where your coat zipper may hit the tank) I think the zippers could have been a little more heavy duty to function easier but so far no problems.

This tank bag is huge!
I use this bag on my Ninja 650R and I absolutely love it. It's big enough to store my rain gear, MP3 player, wallet, sunglasses, cell phone and a book. No complaints what so ever.

well thought bag
Everything on this is excellent. the bag can hold an amazing amount of stuff for a nice profile. only think I wish is that the cell phone pocket was detachable...awkward looking as a backpack but useful when needed. Highly recommended.

Storage and amazing organization
I've been using this tank bag on a number of occasions from short trips to week-long camping trips. This bag is a real life-saver, plus keeps everything organized - a real benefit since I'm sorta sloppy when I'm packing. I have a 2002 Honda CBR600F4i - fits perfectly, plus fits me perfectly when I wear it as a backpack.

Very nice tankbag + backpack!
At first I thought this was too long for my SV650, but it was completely unobtrusive. It has a bajillion pockets, strong magnets, real backpack straps. I could pack in it a mini-purse, rain jacket, and a bunch of other odds n ends, and my vest & gloves once I reached my destination. If it had a helmet carrier and a short handle (like at the top of a backpack, and not the one attached to the zippers), it would be sheer perfection! I've only used it once, so I can't comment on durability, but it appears to be very well-made. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Wow...
Perfect for sport bike riders that use their bike for an actual mode of transportation. Pockets upon pockets and more storage capacity than you would think for its size. A must have if you are tired of the big bulky back packs. This was designed for people who ride!!

Very impressed with this tank bag. Well made with a lot of functions. I like the ability to transform it into a back-pack and plenty of room. Zippers are well made, easy to reach compartments. I am very pleased and again gratz to the great service and fast shipping.

Bought this bag blind and have been real impressed. Took it to the grocery store today and put lots of stuff in it and rode home. Lots of feature and ease of use. More pockets than I can fill. Highly recommend this piece.

I love this bag. I have yet to try the hydration part out, but I'm sure I'll get a chance with summer approaching. It has enough separate compartments to meet all my needs and I like the fact that you can tuck in the magnetic flaps when carrying it with the shoulder strap or backpack straps. Only thing that might make this bag better is to toughen up the zippers, which I think would make opening and closing the bag easier.

The bag works well, over all. I like being able to put my Camelback bladder in the bag and I've had no problems. I wonder how long the zippers will last. They are no where near as heavy duty or as easy to use as my Wolman tank bag that I had on my KLR. The map pocket is too small.

Recon 19 Tank bag
The bag works great. I used the bag on 2 1000 mile rides and it was a life saver. The drink system was a must have item. It was almost half the price of other bags I looked at. And was easy to open and close on the fly and the only thing I would like to see changed was the width of the map pocket.
