On my Z750S tank the bag tends to shift a bit. Possibly longer straps, or stronger magnets, would correct this.

Much better in person!
I'm very impressed with this bag. The quality of materials are much better than the photos would have you think. It looks much better in person. It's the transformer of bags. The magnets are very powerful and it feels secure on the tank and it holds a lot of stuff. It's comfortable as a backpack and the helmet holding is pretty useful. I'm very glad I got this bag.

Ok so they call it a tank bag. But this is really a backpack for any one that rides a street bike. Whether it is to school, the office, or running around this thing is excellent. Has the clear map pocket on the top, two side pockets(big enough for wallet keys and sunglasses), main compartment is a cross between a backpack and briefcase, has the four tank magnets, a safety strap, top handle and backpack straps. Really do not know what I would do without it.

Decent tank bag for overnight travel
The Icon tank bag has treated me well thus far. It will hold sneakers, a change of clothes, my Ezpass, and some toiletries. The looks decent for a "bag" on my R1. It requires a strap on the handle bars to keep it in place at speed. I have not used the helmet straps but tested it out. Overall it is a solid bag but feel it could be priced better.

Best Tank Bag
I have owned a few tank bags and by far this is the BEST magnetic tank bag I have ever owned. It has great features and I will recommend it to others.

Icon urban tank bag - roomy!
The key feature I like about the bag is the room - i can fit a 15" macbook pro in it, neoprene case included, and everything else i need for work. On a recent weekend ride, it fit a 3L camelback, DSLR camera, little tripod, blackberry, jacket liner and still had room to spare. Surprisingly the 4 little magnets and the base do stick to the bike, even with a lot of weight in the bag. The fact that the magnets can tuck into the base when you use the Icon with the backpack straps is a nice feature. The map pocket is wide enough to hold about 2 flaps of a standard AAA fold-out map. The zippers are very easy to use with gloves. As for construction, I'd agree with others that it doesn't look very sturdy; so far, though, it's held up under a month of constant use. There was an unusual light rain yesterday morning and the map pocket quickly got humid; the lack of a rain cover isn't really an issue for me since I'm in California. This bag doesn't have rigid sidewalls, but this is actually a nice feature when carrying around the bag.

Icon Urban Tank Bag
I looked around for awhile to find just what I need to carry all my stuff when I ride and I love this bag. It holds a lot and looks great doing it. I love being able to attach my helmet too so I'm hands free when I want to be. Competitive pricing and arrived on time too.

Actually as good as advertised
I grew up having learned that if something seems to be too good to be true it probably is. Not the case with this bag. It really works as a backpack, helmet holder, and tank bag. Plenty of space for the backpack without being intrusive on the tank. I actually use it on my cruiser. Fit and finish are top notch, and you can really tell that this was developed by someone who rides, not a suit in an office.

Perfect for college
I have been using my urban tank bag for about 2 years now. It has quite simply been the best tank bag I have owned. It particularly works well for me as a college student, because it has enough room for my books, an extra face shield, and my rain gear, while still having side pockets open for pens, note cards, gum and other stuff. I would tell EVERYONE that actually carries stuff on their bike to get this. The versatility of this back with the straps allows you to go anywhere and not have to worry about leaving your bag.

Awesome Icon Tank Bag
This bag is very versatile and can hold a lot of stuff. I got it for my husband for his birthday and he took it on a 4+ hour road trip. It held everything he needed with room to spare. It didn't shift on the bike during transit and he really liked how it held his helmet and converted into a backpack.

Icon - Urban Tank Bag
Real good tank bag/back pack/helmet carrier. Very useful and versatile. I ride a lot and the bag stayed on my ninja zx14 no matter how fast I took it. Great for weekend trips too, can hold quite a bit.

Not Bad
It's ok. Very weak magnets. The bag would blow off my 919 if I didn't use the top strap to tie it to the handlebars. I love the backpack straps for carrying it off the bike and the helmet holder is a nice addition. Bottom line: you need a metal gas tank and need to tie down the front of the bag to make it work.

It's a looker
I've gotten quite a few compliments on the looks of the bag. Feature-wise, the clear map holder pocket and side pockets definitely add to the convenience factor, plus, its conversion into a very roomy backpack makes for easy on-and-off the bike. Overall, thus far, I'm glad I bought this bag because it looks great and works great for me.

Great bag!
Works well and I get a lot of compliments on in. Riding in Germany I've had it up to about 200km per hour with out a problem. The only way to make it better would be some sub compartments.

So far I have had hardly what you would call a "problem" with the bag. I got caught in some rain and my "map compartment" got foggy and a little wet, then again it didn't rain rain, just a sprinkle. My zippers sometimes get stuck when the zipper goes over the lip, as any other zipper. As for the magnets, mine are fine, I have been 120+ with mine on my 05 GSX-R 600 & I all I need to say is "I still have my bag." I love it! I have used it in all the functions. It works great. I have heard of it not sticking very well but that was to a CBR and they have a plastic cover over their tanks. I have a GSXR and it works great.

Tourers stay away
Third tank bag I've owned and easily the worst. Useless in the rain because the map pocket leaks and quickly becomes a water bladder. Zippers don't work well -- they tend to stick. Cheap elastic in accessory pockets led to lost glasses. I guess it's worth noting that I haven't experienced the slipping that others here mention, but in the end it's simply not a very functional bag if you spend a lot of time on the road.

If you are having a problem with the magnets holding strength... remove them from their pockets and flip them over and re-install for a stronger grip.
It worked for me on Christmas Day 2006.
To the people at Icon:
Do a better job of informing your customers of this, you have some of the best products on the market.

Roomy but...
Unfortunately this bag will not stay on your bike. I have not made it over 50mph on my bike yet and I already have trouble with it staying put. The magnets are just not strong enough. The bag is very spacious though and convenient when you're off the bike.

Great as a back pack, however it doesn't stay on my tank as tight as I would like. The helmet holder really doesn't hold my helmet well and is in the way a just a back pack, great idea but needs some work.
Over all it gets the job done.

Very Versatile
I bought this bag about a month ago, and it has been great for what I need it for. I've made use of the helmet carrier, and it works great. It is a little awkward at first having the helmet hanging down past your waist, but once you get used to it, it's no big deal. I would have preferred that there be more magnets on it, though. I've had a few times where the bag slipped under a bit of moderate acceleration with a heavy object in it.

Good, but...
As AJ had stated above it's a good bag but the helmet clips for mine broke off the first time I tried to secure a helmet to the bottom. Good design, poor durability.

Choose One or the Other
This is a really nice bag and comfortable as a back pack. As a tank bag on the other hand... The magnets are really small and aren't that powerfull. I have an 05 Honda CBR600RR and it doesn't stick very well to the tank. I like the features of the bag like carrying my helmet along with it.

Great concept, but...
I was super excited about getting this bag. The features are great, with the map holder, the helmet holder, etc. And the features are great. But the construction is pretty weak. I had the bag for only a couple months when one of the zipper tabs busted. I can still use it, but a busted zipper is a pain. About six months after I got it, the two snap clips on the front of the bag fell off. So now I can't use it to carry my helmet. I still like it... I just wish it was as good as I thought it
