Replacement raincover -- at last!
I stopped for lunch along a 250-mile leg through western Massachusetts in early June and took the rain cover off my Tourmaster tail bag to get something out of the bag. While I was rooting around, I set the cover on top of a saddlebag and -- natch -- took off without putting the cover back on. Discovered my mistake about 100 miles down the road. Happy to say, despite the rain, the bag contents stayed mostly dry, but replacement rain covers were back-ordered and hard to find for a while. I guess I'm not the only absent-minded touring dude out there! I found a backpack cover at a camping outfitter's that served the purpose -- but it didn't fit or look as good and cost me $30!
