I got the ST-1 when my girlfreind wanted to go riding. I have a sportbike and full face helmets. Easily the cheapest for rider-passenger talking. Never rode without it, but can't imagine not having it now. Volume is great, normal talking voices come through clear. No static. No wind noise. Battery life is great, still good after 7+hrs. I cleaned before and the velcro has stayed. I am very pleased, well worth it.

We have used the Motocomm Rider Link on several rides now. We rarely have any wind noise or the like, sound quality has been fine. It installed ok, though the sticky backs of the velcro aren't too good-we used some double-sided tape. We've only used the intercom, but we're loving it! Great value, great product, easy to use. Recommend it.

Well I have had this for 3 weeks now and had to replace all of the sticky backs. Boom mics are useless for picking up voices so I attached the button mics to the boom wands. My phone uses a 3 ring and tip connector I have yet to find an adapter. The sound quality is good but more volume needed. I did paint the arrows on the cable ends to make hook up easier. I made a cradle that holds the main unit on my bars, so do your own improvements, BUY A LOT OF 2-SIDED FOAM TAPE!

The motocom system works well. The only drawback is that the sound isn't that great of quality coming from the radio or any accessory used to play music.

Got this for Christmas, mounted the receiver in my saddlebag, ran the cables under my seat. The sound is a bit low, but combined with a Boostaroo, the thing gets the job done. Talk radio on my mp3 player, conversations with the wife, and music quality is all good.
So nice to be able to talk while riding!

My wife and I have always enjoyed riding together, but not being able to communicate was a definite disadvantage. The RiderLink ST-1 offered the benefit of being able to talk and hear each other comfortably while riding at highway speeds. It took us about 45 minutes to install the speakers and microphones in our helmets. We went on a twelve-hour ride, and the unit worked flawlessly. The two AA batteries lasted the whole trip. I didn't rate the unit very high in some categories. Let me explain. The speakers and microphone are held in place by hook and loop ("Velcro") fasteners. The adhesive did not stick well to the inside surfaces of the helmet. I eventually used another adhesive (super glue) for the microphones. Depending on your helmet, the speakers may work fine without the adhesive. They are about 2" in diameter and have "Velcro" on the back. The sound clarity and volume was good for conversation, but it wasn't really loud enough to hear the music on my mp3 player while driving at highway speeds. I'm not a big fan of riding while listening to loud music anyway. As a communicator, I think it works great and is a good value. I didn't try it with my phone or with another two-way radio, but I was impressed that the unit has those features and has every cord and accessory that might be needed. Ride safe! Have fun!

My wife and I used the Motocomm on a recent trip into Wisconsin this last week. The trip was the first time in years of riding together we could talk without turning our heads and yelling. Very nice, well worth the money! My only complaint is the adhesive used to attach the the boom mikes did not hold well. On the plus side, the battery life was amazing (over 6hrs and still going).

My wife and I took a short trip to Mt. St. Helens yesterday and the MotoComm provided us with a great day of conversation. We both have full-face helmets and ride a sport touring bike which has a small windshield and doesn’t provide much wind protection. We used the middle setting on the freeway where speeds reached 80 mph and were able to hear each other very well. Around town, the lowest setting was all that was needed. The fit is great in the helmets (I did use a hook and loop with stronger adhesive on the microphone because what came with the system was not secure enough). The unit strapped on to the bike frame just below my left leg, and the wires were never a problem. Plugging and unplugging were easy, but I recommend using something like correction fluid to make some dots where the arrows are on the plugs to facilitate lining up them up – just makes it a little easier with the helmet on and reduces the chance of bending any connectors. I have yet to try out the other options that come with the kit (cell phone, FM radio, or 2-way radio), but the intercom is what we chiefly needed. We’re extremely happy with the Riderlink and will be recommending it to our friends.

The Motocomm unit was less expensive and more convenient for us than any of the competitors. We had considered the Scala unit, but between the price, the big box hanging on the side of my helmet, having to use my cell phone battery, and the fact that people might actually call me while I was riding made this a no brainer. My wife and I ride together all the time. We usually plug in the MP3 player, settle the unit and player into the saddle bags and ride for hours. The communication is very clear, the mics work well and the headsets fit the helmets perfectly. Very satisfied. I could wish it was wireless, but if that is the only thing I can complain about, I think it did great.
