Great unit, does everything as advertised. The battery last forever. I was very impressed with what it can do for the cost. The grip that I can complain about is the plug. After 8 days of plugging it off and on to my helmet, the speakers to my helmet are intermittent when you wiggle the plug. The little pins are easy to bend so be careful. If you very careful with the plugs you will be very happy with it.

The Rider link works very well for communicating with the passenger, and fades the input from my XM radio very well, but the built in FM Radio need a lot to be desired. The radio does not perform a normal scan to the next channel, and there is no frequency display. I listen to five different radio stations in my area, I am able to listen to one of them, and it is scratchy. Needs a belt hook. why not waterproof? If you have an external music source available, and a tank bag, I recommend this gizmo.

When we opened the box, and I started putting the product together, I thought it was too confusing. After sorting everything out we realized it was really easy to use. We did have a problem with the connection from the communication box to the driver’s headset. One of the pins smashed. My husband was able to straighten out the pin, and then taped it, so we would keep the connection. Once this was sorted out......I have to say this is a wonderful product. We've been to the NC Mountains, and don't know what we'd do without it. I have not "plugged" in if we're going a very short distance, and my husband and I both feel like we're missing something when we're not able to communicate. My husband drives and I navigate. It's amazing we were ever able to go anywhere without this product!

My wife and I rode 3000 miles in a week from NC to Woodstock Canada and used this intercom the whole time we were riding. The radio isn’t very good but the intercom worked fine. We really enjoyed being able to talk to each other during our trip. You could hear each other at any speed and at times that was 70 mph for hours. I have not used any of the other features like cell phone or Mp3 so I can't speak for that. I would recommend this product for the intercom alone.

good system for the money
I had purchased this system because of a review by a Goldwing owner. Installing the headset was easy for a full face helmet. For an open face helmet the speakers needed to be put back more to stop pinching of the ears. The passenger can hear a phone conversation but cannot talk. It doesn't connect to my Goldwing mounted intercom connectors. I am currently looking for an adaptor for this. You can listen to the radio, answer and make a phone call, and talk to your passenger with the system as is. Overall, it comes with all that you need for you and passenger.

Could use better instructions
We've had the ST-1 for a couple weeks now and generally like it, but I was disappointed with the instructions, and how it fits into the helmet. The instructions need a complete overhaul. I need to see a picture or diagram of each part so I can visually match it to the part number. Then, I really need a step-by-step picture instruction set to guide me through what needs to be done. The wording alone isn't sufficient to handle the questions that come up as you go through the process. On the plus side, the sound quality for the radio and intercom are top-notch. I'd recommend this to anyone else, but go in with your eyes open.

It Made our trip
My wife and I went on our first long distance trip this summer down to the States and through Logans Pass, Montana. We always found we wanted to be able to communicate but with a full face helmet it was just to hard. I ordered the RiderLink just before we left and it was just the thing we were looking for and at a far less cost than most of the ones we looked at in Canada. It was great to be able to talk and enjoy the scenery we were going by. The clarity was perfect at any speed. We would recommend this unit to anyone. We have a magnetic tank bag and the main unit fit right in with the zipper slightly open for the cables. The batteries lasted for three ten hour days before they had to be changed.

RiderLink ST-1 review
My boyfriend and I just completed an 1,800 mile road trip on his Cruiser and I was amazed at the ease in which we were able to communicate with the RiderLink intercom. Even at 75 mph on the interstate the clarity of our voices was outstanding. My only complaint is that the pins inside the connectors are very fragile and we did break a pin during a connection in the middle of our trip. However, the Motocom International customer service was great and they shipped us another connector next day

This unit does do all that it says is does. I hooked up everything that it boasts that it would hook up to and it outperformed all my expectations. While riding on city streets I answered a phone call through the RiderLink. The person on the other end could not tell I was on my Goldwing, in fact, I had to convince her. The only trouble I have had with the unit is the mini-din connector. It is a bit too light-duty for the application and I have broken a pin off already and can only here out o
