  • The Throat mic was developed in WW II to eliminate ambient noise. It just was not used in a practical manner for the motorcycle rider and passenger. When we are riding our motorcycles, the roar of the engine and the sound of the wind creates so much noise, to communicate we must resort to yelling or hand gestures. Everyone knows that talking and sharing thoughts or ideas is half of the fun on a trip
  • The Fox Talk is a FULL DUPLEX intercom system. This means both rider can talk and hear at the same time - just like a telephone. There is a throat mic for the rider and one for the passenger. Just plug them into the intercom box, turn it on, place the large speaker over the ear, set the volume, and you are set to cruise the open road. Now you can share a vista, request a stop, or ride in silence - the choice is yours. The Fox Sox carrying case is included to keep your Fox Talk system protected and organized when not in use. The intercom box also includes an audio input to attach an iPod, MP3 or CD player, radio or any audio device that has a 3.5mm output.

Nate Glendale,  AZ Terrible product I purchased this last year and have tried it now twice. The noise through the ear phones is deafening and hearing your passenger is nearly impossible. We have tried all sorts of configurations to hold the mic in place as any movement of the mic produces a very loud noise. None of the things we tried worked. The concept seems like a good idea, but in practice, this product just doesn't work.

Jim Lesondak Lodi,  CA Fire Fox Fox Talk Upon trying the product, I was disappointed in the amount of noise that came through the ear piece. I was expecting there to be virtually no noise, since the microphone is a throat mic, and not a typical mic in front of your mouth. I was quite dissatisfied with the performance, and have since returned the item and plan to try another driver/passenger communication device by a different manufacturer. This was the first device of this kind that I have tried, so I have nothing to compare it to other than it's own performance, which in my opinion was sub-standard. However, the customer support at Motorcycle Superstore was very good, and I will be making future purchases with you.

gerald vinci milton,  FL Avoid this product I do not recommend this product to ANYONE, unless you have a VERY QUIET bike and do not drive over 30 mph. Otherwise this product is terrible. We traded up and got the RIDERLINK ST-1 headset kit. Sure its an additional 100 bucks on top of the cost of the Fire Fox headsets, but they WORK! I drive with a full faced helmet on a semi-loud cruiser and even going 85 down the highway I could talk and hear my passenger. All I EVER heard with the Fire Fox headsets was WIND NOISE. And that’s funny because the neck mic is supposed to eliminate wind noise. Seriously AVOID this product. Its cheaply made and not worth the 90 bucks.

Santiago Salazar BOGOTA COLOMBIA,  NJ excellent Excellent product at a great value. After you try it a couple of times you get used it. The earphone is comfortable even for a long period of time. The only defect is if your rider is a thin woman (with a very thin neck) the microphone looses contact and the communication is not that clear. Also, if your ears are pretty small the microphone won't fit well.
