Simple and reliable; it would be nice if the unit had more controls (like next/previous song). You can call the last person on your call list but if you call accidentally, it cannot end using the unit until the call is answered. When music is playing and the volume is adjusted, the beep on the unit is louder than the music, but when someone calls you the call tone is much softer, which is an issue at hwy speeds after the unit becomes difficult to hear. The call and talk quality is pretty good.

More than satisfied with this unit. Sound is good. Instructions are lacking. Why Motorcycle Superstore decided to ship me two open boxed used units is beyond me though. Time will tell. CS didn't seem too worried about it.

When I first installed the XBi on my old HJC Helmet, the volume wasn't very loud at all. So I got a newer helmet, installed the XBi and now the volume is a lot better. Calls sound great it's easy to use with my alpine star gloves. From XBi unit to unit the quality sounds great.

ChatterBox is easy to install, I paired it with my IPhone 3Gs. At first I thought the speakers sucked but on my IPhone for music I had to turn off Sound Check and now the speakers are loud and clear. Tested out the phone on the freeway at 75, I could hear everything just fine.

My full face helmet is a HJC FS 15 XXL. Instructions for the XBi are sparse. The XBi electronic unit is bulky, and battery life on mine is disappointing. (it's a replacement too, the first was DOA). The adhesive was useless for the earphones but finally stuck the microphone after several tries. The microphone is bulky as well and doesn't fit on the chin bar of my helmet, but there was a cavity on the breath guard that suited it well. Speakers sound OK when located correctly, again making for a tight helmet fit. My LG nVee 3 connects easily, play tunes OK, calls sound great. callers are astounded at the quality. controls are basic, battery should last a lot longer, but it does the job.

Love these!! Installation went very well, video helpful and had no problems at all. Love the length of use between charges. Excellent transmission from driver to passenger. Very pleased with the system.
Not bad, could be better...Mic is a HUGE drawback

I listen to my Sirius app on my iPhone. 1st issue I found was that music volume is 1/2 of what you get when you use the phone. I have the volume at MAX and once you hit the highways, you can hardly hear anything. The phone volume is blaring. With music I need it at max, but when I made a call, I had to turn it almost all the way down. The other party said I was loud and clear, and this was driving 55mph. I haven't been able to try the intercom yet, still waiting for other members of my group to purchase one.
The mic is HUGE. I cannot find one position for it where it isn’t resting on my face, on or under my lips or my chin. It’s annoying. I called Chatterbox directly...I explained to them my complaint. The gentleman said that Chatterbox is releasing a new speaker/mic set in next month or 2,that has a smaller mic, based on complaints. So, I may hold out til then just to see what happens. I really like the set up, hidden nicely. I can deal with the lower music volume. Face it, you shouldn't have blaring music while you ride anyway, but I want to be able to use the mic.

I read all the reviews I could find before buying this product, and I generally agree with all of them. The intercom units were easy to install. Mine is a full face helmet and the attachment plate was easy to install on the side of the helmet. For the full face helmet, the microphone is a little big. I have it placed a little to the side of my mouth, and that puts it out of the way, but a smaller microphone would be helpful. Linking was EASY, but linking to the Bluetooth from my IPOD was a little more effort. The manual is somewhat sparse, but the instructions are right there. I had to read it a few times to find them. Once it was linked the interface works like a charm. During the ride, we both hear the music, and it's easy to switch to intercom mode. One button push. The quirky thing is that it's a different button to switch back to music. Basically, one button turns on and off intercom, and the other turns on and off the music. Hitting the intercom button turns off the music, but you must hit the music button to turn it back on. (and that will cancel the intercom).
Do I like it? - Yes
Would I buy it again? - Yes
Definitely worth the money.

The unit works very well; unlike other similar units; ambient noise, is NOT a problem...i.e. doing 65 mph you can still communicate...the only minor problem, I encountered, was, the installation, of the gum rubber pad. This problem can be easily fixed, with a trip, to my local car parts store....
