Rick Coloma,  CA Careful, It's not what you think. I have several "issues" with this unit and I haven't even used it on a ride yet. The "Bluetooth" isn't a full featured Bluetooth. It's only feature is the ability to answer the phone by reaching up and pressing the "mode" button. It doesn't have any voice activation features and you have to physically handle the phone, look-up the number and then press the "mode" button to place the call. You can have all the same cell phone features with a much cheaper model and a $19.00 cord I contacted HJC regarding the Bluetooth functioning and HJC helmet fitment issues. He explained the only feature they wanted for the Bluetooth was the ability to answer a call. He also advised that to install the helmet mounting bracket that I must pull away the hard foam lining that's glued to the helmet shell to install the bracket. Then, according to him, you press it back into place after you attach the bracket and it will reglue itself. Don't think so.

Emmanuel Las Vegas,  NV Good product My wife and I purchased the X-1. We didn’t install them on the helmet but did try the belt clip. Didn’t like it, too loose on belt. So we purchased a tank bag and slipped them inside. We just completed a 2100 mile ride through NV, AZ, NM, CO and UT. The unit works well considering we drove 600 plus miles a day for 10 hrs. The headsets suck and are hard to hear when you travel over 70. Very hard to hear with wind noise. They also are hard to adjust in the helmet. Hurt your ears if not adjusted. My wife purchased an adapter from Big Ears.com. This adapter allows you to plug in a regular set of ear plugs or purchase a special molded set from Big ears. Other than this issue the radios are very good!

kyle chicago,  IL no problems here At first it appeared clumsy but once I have it on I don't notice it at all. Mine paired with my Tom tom 920T GPS. I listen to the MP3 player and road directions clearly. I chat to my riding buddies using FRS/GRS walkie talkie setup. I make phone calls on my pocket PC. I also ordered a separate MP3 player and will eventually plug it into the X1. My only complaint would be, that it does not come with std headphone jack and the after market plug looks retarded with Bluetooth unit.

Aaron Ridgefield,  NJ Still excited. I really want to enjoy this product. I've owned it for over a month and it has been one problem after another. First I couldn't get the headsets installed to my liking. Then it would not pair with the bluetooth on my LG phone, so I got a new phone. Bluetooth now works, I think. Now after only riding with the full setup for one day, the cheap plastic mounting bracket broke when I placed my helmet on the seat of my bike to do startup and go to work. I put the helmet down on the seat and the plastic tourqued under the weight of this light weight device. I really want to use and enjoy this X-1, but I can't yet. The money I have spent is not close to worth it yet!
