This is my 3rd Chatterbox over the years and I still love the product. Easy to install...easy to operate also. I have the Bluetooth slim model and love it. It works great with my iPod so no problems there. The only thing I wish is that I could run my headphones through the unit and still be able to communicate instead of using the headphones that come with it. Other than that...perfect!

All is well except the charging unit is supposed to have output voltage of 12 volts and mine puts out .38v wont charge battery. Lucky I have friends with the same unit.

Everyone wants high quality mics that work at high speed, unfortunately many don't know how the technology works. If anyone is experiencing low volume transmission it's because the mics need to be as close to the lips as possible. If you have to throw your voice inches into a mic, by the time it gets to the mic the volume is reduced. Therefor the mic assumes the voice is background noise and will reduce it. Try placing the mic almost if not touching the lips.

Works great, just need to work on the Bluetooth part. Can’t hear that good when using the phone; volume does not get loud enough. But communication with other chatterboxes is great.

I acquired the Chatterbox GMRS X1 based on reviews on line. Have been unable to figure out how to make the product work based on the instructions that came with it. At this time I certainly would not recommend the product. The manufacturer really needs to improve the operating manual.

These are great just make sure your helmet is quiet enough....I have a new RF-100 and can barely hear my wife on the other end...and I am on a Ducati...the push-to-talk is great!

I have none of the problems mentioned in other reviews. Most of the people I ride ATVs with have these. They're invaluable for keeping groups together and updated on trail conditions and traffic. We use PTT. With MX helmets VOX picks up too much wind and engine noise. Bluetooth works flawlessly for my MP3 player. It took a little adjusting to get the volume right. The MP3 battery goes dead long before the Chatterbox battery. Chatterbox has excellent customer service if there is ever a problem with the unit.

This is the sixth or seventh Chatterbox that I have purchased. It and two others are the only ones that work. The others were defective out of the box and would only stay on for limited periods of time even when plugged into an "on-the-vehicle" power source, so it’s not the battery. My riding group has found it very effective to be able to talk on trips and so far Chatter Box is the only company we have found that makes a bike-to-bike device so we are going to stick with it until a more reliable product comes along.

I like the product a lot, made my life easier and fun despite the down sides. The most inconvenient thing was the battery life. I’m still not sure how long the battery life will last next time I go on a trip. The vox had to be turn down to save battery if use accidently shut it down it was hard to pair it up again. The volume of mp3 was too high or too low. I wish the helmet mount was more secure but next time will mount it on handle bars. I wish there was permanent external power adapter to battery. I still would recommended it.2009 vulcan 900 with htc fuse cell, the other hd streetglide iphone both full face helmet.
