Difficult to use, bought the rainproof case to go to the Sturgis Rally with could not tell if it was on or not, rain case is useless. Had to find the software on line. The site that is given with the camera, does not lead you to the software, just happen to find a forum where people were talking about it and had posted, where to get the software for this camera. Returned the camera, would not recommend to anyone.

This camera gives great picture and sound. Easy use for turning on, off, and recording. The "editing" software is not good at all and it records into MOV format. I've been using Windows movie maker to edit the videos and it works pretty well. Get yourself a bigger SD card, the battery will last about 3 hours on a full charge. The owners manual that came with mine was very lacking, but I was able to get the information that I needed from the website.

Easy to use during the ride, hard to use after the ride.
Having had the ContourHD 1080p camera, I can't say that it is worst than the GoPro Hero HD camera, as I do not have it, but the Contour has user friendliness issues once you need to manage the videos. It is in the awful MOV format, and finding editors and extractors to manage the videos is a chore. The software that comes with it makes uploading to YouTube and Facebook a feat in itself. Pictures are great, its form factor, and ease of use WHILE riding is great! After the ride, not so great.

Before you secure it anywhere, make sure that is the place you want the camera mounted. The double sided tape is super sticky. This camera includes lasers to align the view on the camera should you decide to place it on your helmet. Awesome camera, comes with a 2GB MicroSD card which records close to 30 minutes on the LOW settings. Get yourself a 16GB MicroSD card, it will do you good. I don't know how long the battery lasts yet as I am not able to record more than 30 minutes at a time. Great camera, you won't regret it. Order additional mounts if you want it on your bike on different locations. Great video quality!
