I ordered two of these helmets, one Red and one Blue. One of them was last year's model and lacked the cool max interior. The bottom trim ring (around base of helmet) was warped and wouldn't stay all the way on. The sizing was also very different between the two. Both were supposed to be Large and were marked as such, but the older model was far too big (it fit ME!) and the new model was too small. On the positive the venting looked like it would work great, the visor had a nice firm closure and if the helmets had fit, we would have kept them. Buying full-face helmets for kids is a tough deal, especially mail order. Went through three different brands until we found something that would really fit and still not that happy. Next time, we'll go to the bike shops.

GMax Youth - Great BUY!
Youth street helmets are hard to find especially street style and on top of that you can get graphics! The GMax GM39Y is a great buy; super fit, finish is as good if not better the HJC's and the venting is Outstanding! My daughter says the helmet is quiet at speed. This is a great youth full face street helmet.

One of the best youth helmets made, and the price is excellent. Helmet features and graphics are amazing, and the head measurement chart provided by Gmax is dead on. I would recommend Gmax youth to anyone looking for a great full face helmet.
