Excellent Tire
Much better tire than the Bridgestone 21s that were on my FJR. Smoother, quieter, and the cornering is much, much improved. Gave a 4 on the wet traction and wear because I haven't driven in the rain yet and have only 1,000 miles on the tires so far.
Highly recommend the Metzeler Roadtec.

Metzeler Roadtec
My second set of Metzelers. By far the best treadlife I have seen with any tires! Nothing bad to say about the Metzeler. I got close to 10000 miles on my back tire, mostly rural country roads, living in TN alot mountain tiwsties around the smoky Mountains. I'm no shy rider either, I do more mileage on my bike in a year than the car. Saved over $40 as opposed to ordering the tire through any local shop! Definitely recommend this tire and pleasant shopping experience on Motorcycle-Superstore.com.

Have this tire on my st1300, got 9000 miles out of the 1st one, had to get another. Wet traction was the main reason. Great tire.

Great Tire for the FJR1300
This is my 3rd Roadtec Z6 rear tire I've had on my FJR1300. The last 2 have lasted between 10,000 and 11,000 miles. The factory tire was done at 6,000 miles so they are lasting longer, but I would like a tire that would last longer. Wet traction is good, but with the power of the FJR you have to be careful in the wet. Overall a great tire.

SO FAR SO GOOD
Mixing this with the M3 on the front. I'm not a super aggressive rider, but I've put this combination through twisties on less than a 45 degree (I just don't push that far yet), and this combo feels every bit as good as the Dunlop Supermaxs that I was riding before. Most of my riding is freeway and I've had them up to 125 mph and they feel like they'll keep going. Too early to tell about the tread life and it hasn't rained since I got them so I'm "guessing" they'll perform closely in those categories as in the others.

Metzeler Roadtec Z6
Superb tire. It came originally on my Moto Guzzi Norge, and I replaced it with the same brand. Fantastic handling, I just wish that the tread life would be longer. I've had to replace it at 9 tys. miles, so comparing it to Michelin Anakees I have on my BMW (15 tys. miles tread life)isn't much. But bike is heavier and I ride it more aggressively, so it makes sense. I would buy it again.

Great tire so far. Not much rain so don’t know how it works in the rain but has worked very well thus far. Great tire, very smooth.

Great tires
These give the best feedback and easiest turn initiation of any sport touring tire I've tried, including Michelin PR2 and Dunlop OEMs on my ST1300.

Great sport touring tire
Has good tread life, good traction... Cornering isn't bad for such a hard compound tire.

Metzeler - Roadtec Z6 Sport Touring Rear Tire
I love the feeling of riding with new tires, it is so confidence building and stable. These tires also give super performance dry or wet. My experience with Motorcycle Superstore was first rate. Although tires are not shipped to Canada I have the luxury of living in a border town, which allows me to use the free Con US shipping and import them in person myself. It is the best cost value I found to date! Keep up the good work Superstore.

Sport touring tire - well named for long life
Though I've had grippier tires, they only lasted about 1/4 of the roughly 10,000 I get off this tire (just put on 3rd one). It'll still let you scrape the footpegs and hardware in a corner, and for a tire w/ no cuts through the center, does surprisingly well straight up & down in the wet stuff. Does make it rather hard to guess at how much tread you have, and the variable compound will make for a flat-topped triangular wear profile in cross-section. I have no intention of going to any other tire on my 2001 Yamaha FZ1.

I liked the performance and longevity of the last one of these I had that I replaced it with the same tire. Could have gotten anything, but I chose to replace my worn out one with another.

Great Tire
I've had about 4 rears and 2 fronts of the z6 tire. They handle great in both wet and dry. I've had to replace the front every other year and the rears have been lasting bout 7k miles.

Metzeler Roadtec Z6 Rear Tire
This is my third elephant Z6C on the back of my 03 BMW K1200GT. I keep going with this tire set because of the wet weather performance and stability. Living in NW Oregon, we see our fair share of wet weather (I ride 11 out of 12 months of the year). Cornering isn't as good as some of the soft rubber tires out there, but tread life is extended in return. I'm getting about 8K-9K per set when riding reasonable. Shipment/receiving was extremely fast and haven't had any problems with products ordered. Excellent deal, great service, wonderful product.

Very Good
No complaints but I have not tried in the rain and have only had for 2 months so I am not sure about tread life but everything else is good. It feels and handles like a new bike.

Metzler Z6
First I would like to say that Motorcycle Superstore is really great to do business with. I ordered an incorrect replacement rear tire for my son's SV650. I bought it used and checked the size tire that was on it not knowing that it was incorrect. After ordering the oversize tire I noticed the correct size listed on the swingarm when I removed the old tire. It was too late to stop the shipment of the wrong tire but these guys let me order the new tire (Metzler Z6) and emailed me a return authorization which included a return UPS shipping label that I printed and took to UPS with the tire. I didn't have to pay ONE PENNY to ship it back. When they got it back they emailed me that it was received and my credit was issued to my card minus $6.99. That is the best return policy on the whold web in my opinion. So.....these guys rock.

New Life
Mounting a set of these tires brought new life to my riding experience. I have a BMW R1100RS and I thought it was fun to ride before. I changed to this tire and my ride quality increased. Corners are fun! I ride 2 up most of the time and we went to the Tail of the Dragon US 129, it was a blast. The bike handled great!! Tread life is supposed to be good but I cannot say at this point, only 1000 miles so far.

Great skins for an old Nighthawk
I put these tires on my 91 Nighthawk 750, and the difference from the OEM Dunlops is amazing. The bike feels MUCH more planted in the turns, and has given me much more confidence on the road. Wet traction seems excellent. Not sure about the tread life yet, as I have only had them on for about a month. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone wanting to add a little life to your daily commuter!

Will be hard to convince me to buy anything else.
This tire is simply the best I have ridden on the street. Traction in cold and wet is awesome, can't wait to try it warm! Sand/loose dirt is a bit troublesome since this tire has no groves crossing the center, but that is what makes the tire the best on everything else. If you want a tire that can go on long sport-touring trips, this is the one. The set I have recently bought is still in the basement because I under-estimated the mileage I would get off the previous set of the same tire.

Metzeler - Roadtec Z6 Sport Touring Rear
i would have to say this is one of the best tires for high miles. i put about 14 to 15k a year on my bike. it has good traction in everything but snow. i think every bike sucks in the snow. i get around 6000+miles out of the rear but I ride it like i stole it. i don’t know about the front its holding up pretty good it has over 7000+ on it so I would have to say Two rear to One front tire. i do agree with last comment it is hard to tell when the tire is bad with center wear.

Roadtec Z6 Rear Tire
This is my third Roadtec Z6 rear tire, so it obviously works well for me. I'm not too hard on tires, as evidenced by an average of almost 12K miles per rear tire. It handles very well in the wet as well as dry conditions. Quiet due to lack of tread in the middle.
Only negative is that there is no wear indicator in the middle of the tire, making it hard to judge when it's worn out. If I look carefully at the colors of rubber when it's about gone, I can tell a difference in the colors of the rubber that show up when the tire has about 500 miles left.
A very good tire for my purposes.
