Great for FJR

Replaced a thrashed set of BT-021's on my FJR and am amazed at what a difference a new set of tires makes. These are specifically designed for the FJR and it shows. This makes the bike feel like new again. BTW, during a 100 mi road trip, my 'older' front BT-021 disintegrated, lost air pressure, and was showing threads, so you want to get quality good tires, especially on the front of the FJR as they are famous for putting a ton of weight on front during cornering. Good luck...

Great traction, cornering and stability but DISAPPOINTING mileage

Rear Battlax 023-GT on a Moto Guzzi Griso 8V. Verdict: great traction and cornering on dry (can't say much about wet), but QUITE DISAPPOINTING mileage - only 3300 mi (tire wore down pretty uniformly, no chicken strips and no feathering). Overall, a Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact lasted significantly (1,000 mi+) longer. My riding style is on the aggressive side, with most mileage done up and down the SC, NC, GA and TN Blue Ridge/Appalachians.

BT-23 Tires

I had a pair of the old BT-21's on my bike when I bought it, worked great got 12,000 miles out of them on a VFR-800 honda. Put the BT-23 on it and got 10,000 miles out of them even good in heavy rain. I will get them again.

Best tire for R1200RT

I have 12,300 miles on these which is several thousand miles more than I usually get. They still have a few hundred miles left in them. I can't tell the difference between these and Metzeler Z6's which cost $100 more and only lasted 7500 miles. I did better with Dunlops and Bridgestone BT-023's, getting about 10,000 miles on those. These tires are great for long trips, I don't have to worry about an expensive/inconvenient tire change in the middle of a trip.

BT023 -GT rear

I purchased this set of tires for my FJR 1300 about 6 weeks ago for an upcoming long trip from San Diego to Alaska and back. I wanted to have a set of tires they would last me for the while trip, without having to replace them half way. I was able to put 7100 miles on this tire. I rode solo the whole time with the bike fully packed. It was mainly paved road, but I also had to put about 150 miles of unpaved loose gravel. The last 1500 miles this tire severely deformed, it flattened in the center, making it unstable when leaning (it looked like a car tire almost). At 7000 miles I could see the cords. Overall I'm fairly satisfied. I usually get 6000 miles from regular tires so I was expecting a bit more out of this.

BT23 GT REAR

I'm running this tire on a VFR800; this is a very stout tire. Its wearing very well and I have been very abusive to the tire. Traction wise, very good straight line dry traction, it’s a little slick on the side of the tire in slow corners, for my 550lb bike. Hard drive in fast sweepers it holds fine. I've not had enough rain action to gauge wet traction, but IMO 2 up fjrs or similar (heavy bikes), definitely a tire to try, at least on the rear.

excellent

I have a CBR1100XX. I really liked the older BT-021's - great tread life, excellent grip, so I thought I'd try the newer BT-023GT especially reading some of the positive reviews in various bike forums. These tires are made specifically for heavier bikes. So far they have been just a good as the BT-021. I noticed a much better brake and grippier feel right a way. We'll see how long they last, my BT-021's lasted 12K miles. Also, the guys at Subterranean tires were awesome.

Solid Tire

I have a pair of these on my FJR1300. The ride is nice, they were great in the rain and they seem to stick well. I haven't had a chance to get real aggressive yet but they feel good.
