T. Tucson,  AZ Roadsmart Tires I own a ZX-14. The roads around where I live are relatively straight, but I do hit the twisties in the mountains, etc. occasionally. I wore the stockers out in 3500 miles, so naturally I wanted to get a little more life out of my next set. I purchased a set of Roadsmarts about 6 months ago and have put about 6500 miles on this set. I am almost to the wear bars on the rear. I am quite pleased with this tire’s performance and value and see no reason not to go with a second set of these tires.

Stan Peterborough,  ON Dunlop RoadSmart = GGGREAT On 2003 GSXR750 I got an honest 14,000 miles this summer and last summer combined on the rear tire (almost at the wear bar indicators). Never did anything unexpected, even at 130 mph corners where I left a couple CBR1000RR's routinely. So I never babied the tire nor did I do burnouts or smoke shows. Just fast riding and no chicken lines at the edges of the tire. Great in the wet or in the dry.

NIck Cross Miami,  FL ST1300 ROADSMART REVIEW I rode 2,500 miles with a passenger and baggage in 8 days after installing Roadsmarts front and rear on my ST1300. The trip included rural highways, country roads, Natchez Trace Parkway (440 miles of motorcycle heaven) and 1,000 miles of Interstate highway. I have previously owned Bridgestone and Metzler tires. I am very pleased with the Roadsmarts. They ride well and the handling was impeccable in wet and dry conditions. It's too soon to comment on tread life but that is not my primary consideration when selecting tires. I would certainly buy them again.

Ford Tang Huntington Beach,  CA Never had new tires I bought my bike used with old tires that slipped all over the place so compared to those, these feel amazing. The grip is very confidence inspiring and I'm not scared to push it on the curves. I've only ridden them on dry roads but I think they're supposed to be good on the wet side of things also, and being a touring tire, it should have good tread life. Overall, very very pleased and the price was great also.

Scott Haslet,  TX Dunlop Roadsmart I own a 2008 CBR1000RR, I wasn't get enough milage out of my rear tires so decided to try something new. I get great traction and great milage from this tire(about 5500 miles from a rear), I am a very aggressive street rider, but like to get the most from what I spend my hard earned money on. I'm now on my 2nd Roadsmart, great tire for the money!

Gabe Eldersburg,  MD So far, so good I picked these up for my 6th Gen VFR. They were a significant improvement over the stock tires. Chicken strips are gone and I have yet to slide the rear end while cornering, so I am pleased. The progression through lean angle is smooth and predictable. Having ridden through a few heavy rains, I am satisfied with the wet traction (i.e. kept rubber side down). We will wait and see how the tread life is, I only have 1k miles on them thus far.

I would recommend based on price and performance... I will buy them again.

Justin westminster,  CO Best tire I ever put on Hands down this is the best tire I have ever had on a bike. I've owned several sport bikes and I've never had a tire completely transform the bike like the Dunlop road smart. The stability and handling on both wet and dry surfaces are fantastic. I wasn't at all afraid to enter a steep corner and power out at the apex of the turn. Because of the stickyness and shape of the tires, they allow for great handling. I recommend this tire to all my friends.

Ray Naperville,  IL Dunlop Roadsmart Sport Touring Tires I've got over 3000 miles on my pair of Dunlop Roadsmart Sport Touring Tires, and I'm very happy with them. My previous tires were the OEM Dunlop D207's on my CBR600F4i and I got a little over 10,000 miles on those tires, for comparison. After 3K on the Roadsmarts, they barely look worn (although they don't look brand new either). I mainly ride during the day in good weather. These tires handle great on dry pavement. I did get caught in a storm once, and they handled confidently on wet pavement, but I didn't push them hard. They pretty much handle the same as my previous D207's, although I have noticed that they don't want to turn themselves as much in tight corners (so, they must be a flatter tire), which is OK with me. All-in-all, I highly recommend these tires, and I would buy them again myself. I'm hoping to get more than 10K out of these... We'll see...

Was caught in rain two days after replacing back tire, and the performance was outstanding. Dry weather performance is equally impressive, and hopefully the tread life is lasting. I imagine that I will buy another set when it's time.

Stephen Orange City,  FL Impressive My FJR has worn many shoes. Prior to the Roadsmart I was a fan of the Avon Storm. I put the Dunlop on and headed north to the North Carolina, Tennessee, North Georgia area. Road 2,000 miles in a 4 day trip. Mileage was split nearly 50/50 interstate and mountains, and of course it rained. Temperature varied 74 degrees to 102 degrees. These tires performed outstanding. The tire gave great confidence with rain, at speeds, in corners, tar snakes and any combination I asked of it. I was loaded down with about 30 lbs of gear and I weigh 210 lbs, so needless to say I asked alot of these tires. Also I found the Dunlop to be cheaper in $$$ than the Avon. I have found a new favorite for Sport touring.

James Flagstaff,  AZ Great tires I have about 300 miles on these tires. I ride a Suzuki SV650. They are my first replacements and the SV is my first bike so I don't have anything to compare them to except the stocks. In my opinion they are a significant improvement. I noticed increased stability and cornering immediately on my way home from the installer. Increased traction and warm up. I've been caught in down pours a few times and the tires never slipped and felt very stable.

Rob Taylor Houston,  TX Rear Tire Flattening Out at 2000-miles I'm running this tire on the rear of my R1200GS and Conti Road Attack on the front. Bought this for the rear because the Conti only lasted about 6000 miles. This tire takes a long time to warm up and it has a greater tendency to squirm when riding over tar snakes and the like. Turn in is great and grip is generally good. Feedback is better on the Contis however and this tire has taken a very long time to scrub in. But with only 2000 miles I'm already getting a flat spot in the middle of the tread. If the Dunlop has no mileage advantage (the reason I bought it), then the Conti Road Attack is a better tire.

Doug Slack GREEN OAKS,  IL Dunlop Roadsmart Having the pair of tires shipped to a local recommended installer saved over $100. I have only put about 600 miles on them so it is hard to guess how long they will last but it took about 300 miles to wear off the nubs. Initially they felt a bit greasy but after a few hundred miles they have very good grip on dry pavement. Have not gotten out in the rain yet. I chose them for reported improved tread wear and wet traction.

Scott Morris Goshen,  IN First impressions of my new Roadsmart Tires (Honda VFR) I bought the Roadsmart tires (front and rear) because I wanted to get more than 5000 miles on my rear tires and they were the least expensive of the multicompound tires offered from the major manufactures. I have a 2003 Honda VFR Interceptor and now have 5 rides on these tires. Here is the differences as compared to the other tires I've had: 1) The more agressive profile enables me to flick the bike easier into corners with much more control and confidence 2) The cornering grip seems to be greater enabling me to the push the bike a little faster while cornering...high speed corners are a real blast..3) The ride itself is less harsh than the worn out tires I had on this bike...bumps seem to be softer and the bike seems to be more in control...or tracks better over them. This is a lot of tire for the money!

pete francis brattleboro,  VT dunlop road smart tire Having owned a bmw RT and now a yamaha fjr1300 I have used many tires including bridgestone, metzler and avon. After experiencing the front tire wobble on my avon azarro's I decided to try these road smarts after reading the magazine ads and a few posts on forum sites. So far they have shown excellent grip on twisty Vermont roads in dry conditions, and wet grip seems very good also. The jury will be out on how long they last. I have yet to get more than 6 or 7k on a rear, so I will be very excited if these can give me more wear than previous brands. So far so good.

Cornering is smooth and predictable and you get loads of feedback from the tire and giving you great confidence mid corner. I was afraid to go with a sport touring tire as opposed to a full on sport tire but you can be just as aggressive with these, they will stick just as well.

craig potter Moreno valley,  CA RoadSmart rear tire First I would like to point out that Dunlop has more World Supperbike Championships than any other tire. With the Roadsmart tires, you can tell why. Exceptional handling in the curves, the tires/handling is so precise. My confidence is probably 200% better than previously. Peter W. Hollywood,  CA I wish the Roadsmart would be resistant to nails and screws. My first roadsmart lasted 900 miles thanks to a drywall screw. My second lasted 5700 miles thanks to a 3/4 inch wood screw. I'll bet that tire would of been good for at least 8-9000 miles total. I am using it on a KTM Duke 690. I am on my 3rd roadsmart. It's a very good solution for my bike handles good and I get good mileage out of it. It doesn’t rain much in socal, I got twice into rain and th tire worked well there too.

Mike Gilbert Naples,  FL Was I smart getting Road Smarts?? Had the tires on for about a month now. So far so good. delivery was as advertised. My biggest issue with the stockers on my BMW K-1200s was how fast they wore out! The roads in Florida are almost all flat straight line stuff. Middle portion wears fast. The only real turns we have are the on and off on the interstate. I have read reviews on these tires and hopefully the compound they have will hold up better then the Pirellis I had.Handeling and ride seem are about the same as my originals when new. I will keep you posted on how things go once I get some miles on these babies. Would def.recommend buying them. Great tire for a great price!!

Patrick Ahern Duncan,  SC Dunlop Roadsmart tires... Smooth and Sticky Put a set of Dunlop Roadsmarts on my 2008 Suzuki Bandit about 1 month ago, Fantastic! It feels like I'm riding on sticky glass. The ride is so smooth, and the grip is excellent. These are dual compound tires and the transition from the center compound to the side compound is unnoticeable. Leaning the bike from side to side is effortless. High speed stability is also excellent. The Bandit was always a blast to ride, and now it's even better. I love these tires and Motorcycle Superstore is just as good as these tires. Fast delivery, great price, and excellent customer service, it's a match made in Heaven. I am one very happy customer. Thomas Rutherfordton,  NC CBR 1000RR with Dunlop Roadsmart tire I love my Roadsmarts, did a lot of research and decided to give these a try. I wanted a sport touring tire to get a little extra mileage since I use my bike to commute to work during the week, I wanted a tire that would not wear the center too quickly. I ride the twisties on the weekend and wanted a dual purpose tire, I ride hard but I'm no Ben Spies, Rossi or Pedroso so I will never see the limit of these tires on the street. They are great, I have yet to run them in the rain and they are too new to report mileage wear so I rated those a 3.

Brandon Okone Westerville,  OH GSX-R 600 and the Roadsmart rear tire I have put about 1500 miles on the rear and have been very pleased with the wear to date. My last rear tire was the Dunlop Qualifier and it was a great handling tire but the tread life left a lot to desire. The cornering of the new dual compound Dunlop Roadsmart has been very solid and so far the wear is minimal. Not sure if the single compound front is a good mix with the sportbike, but the rear has met my goal of a longer wearing sport tire.

Alex Ososki Au Gres,  MI Perfect Street Tire I have put close to a thousand miles on this tire so far and today was my first real rain test on it. If anyone lives in Michigan they know how rainy it gets in the fall. I road from Au gres, MI to Mt Pleasant, MI, close to a hundred mile run and I didn't have one problem. Although I was drenched at the end of my trip I made it safe. Something I come to expect from a company like Dunlop. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Good price from MSRP and other site checking, fast as promised delivery. Nice professional people to deal with.

Brian Milford,  NY Great tires Transformed the handling on my bike. Very linear and predictable. Haven't put enough miles to evaluate mileage but the tires are supposedly designed for higher mileage. Very pleased with feel and handling though especially from my 500lb Yamaha FZ1. Glad I got ride of the (Stones) Bridgestones on there.

Daniel Olathe,  KS So far so good The tire looks good on the bike and has handled well so far. No chance to ride in the rain yet but the grooves are deep and well spaced so it should be fine. The front tire was a little firm at the recommended 36 psi but the rear rides fine. Overall happy with the choice and hope they wear as well as the Pirelli Diablo Stradas they replaced.

Peter Scholz Los Angeles,  CA Dunlop Roadsmart Great everyday Tire for a 690 Duke. I have 1000 miles on the Dunlop SPMX Roadsmart (69W), tire has good grip dry and looks promising to last a while (Road trip!). No wet experience yet. It's replacing the original Dunlop SPMX Alpha 10 (59H). A Tire with super grip and good for about 2300 miles of gluing you to the road.

Kevin Ayers League City,  TX Dunlop Roadsmart tires Cannot say enough good things about this tire! Amazing feel and grip. Only have about 500 miles on both tires and what a difference they make. Was caught in a rainstorm for about 120 miles and never once felt either tire waver. Travelling on the interstate at speeds of 50-70mph and I don't ever recall feeling so well planted and sure footed. Will definitely buy another set of these when the time comes.

Michael Austin,  TX Excellent Tires I've had these tires for about a month now (about 2000 miles on them) and was waiting until I got them out on wet roads to write a review. I'm a daily commuter and this is the third set of tires I've had on my bike and I am very pleased with them. The ride is nice and the tires inspire confidence. Corning is very good and sticky. I gave dry traction a "4" because I like to run my tires at the top of my pressure range and I do compromise a little dry traction in a straight line, but corning is not affected. The WET Traction, however, even at the higher pressure is remarkable! Much better than I would have ever expected; I had to remind myself that the road were wet. After about 2000 miles, the tires are showing almost no signs of wear.

Carl McLaughlin Gaithersburg,  MD Dunlop - Roadsmart Sport Touring Rear Tire Fortunately or unfortunately my first ride on these tires was after one of those Wash DC passing thunderstorms. I exercised extreme caution since 1) the tires were new and 2) the roads were freshly wet. On my next real road test in dry weather, I found the tires to be very responsive and provided very good road feel. I've used the Dunlop 205s and 220s over the almost 50k miles I've put on the 99 VFR, and these tires seem to be a very, very good replacements. There have been other storms and wet weather, and the tires do a very good job of staying true over all types of roads.

David Suwanee,  GA Great Tire I have a 2006 SV 650 naked and this tire did wonders for my bike. The difference between it and the Dunlop 220 it came with are night and day. The back end feels much more planted and stable. I gave the tread life a 3 because I have only had it on for about 500 miles and can't really rate it yet. If you want a great tire for sport touring look no further.

robert gregor colbert,  WA Roadsmart Sport Tour Tire I found these tires to be excellent. I am using them on a ST4S end the center tread wear has been excellent. It seems the claims of more tire life in the center may be true. Not much wear at 5000, I expect 8000 miles or so. I like them

Stephen SIgrist Lincoln,  CA Roadsmart Touring Although I haven't put to many miles on the tire it feels great. Seems like I can lean into turns with ease and it's a solid grip. Scott Curtis Bastrop,  TX Dunlop Roadsmart Rear on Suzuki SV650S First impressions: I have put about 600 miles on this new tire since purchasing it in April of 2008, and thus far I am quite impressed. I commute to work; about 70 miles round trip with a variety of riding involved including 75 MPH highway straight-line and back roads twisties. I was concerned that the tire would be too hard in the center tread considering the longer tread life that is marketed, but it has performed very well both under hard acceleration and braking. It also has proven to be confidence-inspiring in the corners where it feels more stable than the Sportmax's I have been running previously. I have not yet had a reason to test the wet weather performance; pretty much means my commute sucks if I'm riding in the rain anyway.I would definitely recommend this tire to anyone who isn't all that concerned with dragging knees while riding around town. I like it so much that I just bought the matching front!

DOUG Milwaukee,  WI Roadsmart Sport Touring Rear Only on my first 1K with it, but it's been great in light rain and the cold which are usually the toughest conditions for hard cornering on city streets with slick lane stripes and manhole covers. I also found it to corner well on sandy, rough, tar snakey rural roads. I've got a heavy R1100S and the one missed shift that should have left a good skid merely chirped the tire once without losing a moment of traction going into a turn. If it meets the claim of being a high mileage touring tire I'm sure I'll get another one on the front.

Matt Norman,  OK Great Tire even for a sport bike I bought this for my 06 R6 because I’m tired of going through Qualifiers every 3-4000 miles. I was kind of hesitant to get this tire. These tires are great! I can push them just as hard as the qualifiers with no problems. If you are looking to get some more mileage out of your sport bike tires and don’t spend much time at the track, the Road Smart is definitely the smart choice.

Michael Montgomery,  NY Worthiness ? I mounted these on a 2006 R1 in hopes to finding the balance between grip and longevity. I ride with Sport-Touring guys and do some long trips with some highway.....so thought I'd try a tire with a long lasting center. So far with 350 miles on them.... I'm impressed with the "stick" but don't know about the durability yet.
