Perfect Tires
I love these tires. I ride a 07 ZX14 that I use daily and for long distance trips. I was able to get two seasons out of one set approximately 10,000 miles and the front tire still looks new just now replacing rear. Love these tires wet weather traction is great. Best Sport Touring tire you can buy.

Great tire so far have put 1000 miles on it and you can’t even tell it has been ridden on, I hope it runs at least 10k more before I have to purchase another. We’ll see. I got a great price and service from Motorcycle Superstore thanks!!

Avon - AV 56
We have purchased this tire before and it is a great traction tire. Good for about 6000 miles, if you like to ride the curves and corner like you own the road, it can't be beat in my opinion. My husband and I are on our second set of Avon tires.

Great traction. Turns in predictably. Gave it a 3 since it had no balance dot on the tire, though it was easy to mount. Don’t really care if it lasts super long, as tires are still cheaper than medical bills. I'd buy this tire again.

Avon AV56 Storm
After about 1000 miles, I really love my Avon Storms. Good feedback, excellent turn-in, grip like glue. Really a big confidence-booster to have these tires under me! Haven't tried them in the wet, but I hear great reviews from wet-weather riders. Highly recommended.

one great tire
I have been a fan of Metzeler tires for 20 years or so. My BMW K1200GT came with Bridgestones which I hated. They followed every rain grove they could find. Then I tried the Avon Storm. It's a great tire. It appears to be smoother and more round, if that is possible. The front tire lasted several thousand miles more than the Bridgestone and the rear about 1,500 miles. In the rain forget about it. There is no other tire to have. You'll immediately know that when you see the Storm's huge wide groves.

Love this tire. Better than my Metzlers, Bridgestone, and Michelins

On my second set and I love these tires. Great performance riding light or heavy, in both wet and dry conditions. They just seem to do it all right. Just returned from a 2k trip to Fontana Dam from PA and smoked the turns with fully loaded bags, topcase, tank bag and passenger. The Storms on my FJR 1300 always inspire confidence, but be prepared to replace the rears at only 4k miles if you ride hard.

I commute daily on a VFR 800, sixty miles RT. This tire replaces an Avon Azaro which I got over 20,000 miles on (yeah it was butt-naked). Look forward to getting another two years out of this hoop also.

Avon STorm AV56 Rear Tire
I love the STorms on my Honda ST. These are absolutely the very best MC tire I have ever ridden on. The mileage is not as much as some other tires I have run, but the feeling and touch that I get in the corners and the wet is well worth the difference. If you are a freeway or long straight roads rider, the STorm is probably not for you. There are much longer mileage tires on the market. However, if you ride a heavy bike and like the twists and turns of life, this is it.

Avon storm AV56
These tires are great. Excellent wet weather grip. Superb grip when dry. The tires have lasted me about 8K miles. I'm on my 2nd rear tire. The tires are soft and I have punctured the 1st tire twice. It held a patch and plug and lasted another 2K miles.
Overall a great tire.

Quality went down
My first AV56 was a good tire. This one did not get any kind of mileage and is cupping extremely bad. It, along with the front have convinced me not to buy them ever again. I will go with a Sportbike tire instead. I ride a FJR1300 and do not ride like an idiot. I like to corner, but mostly ride my bike to work and back.

A great tire
This is by far the best tire I have ever put on a bike in 35 years. I rode through 2 sets on a BMWR1100RS The feel, grip, ride and mileage (around 10K) were outstanding. They made that bike compete in the corners with sportbikes. Put a set on a CBR600F2 amazing feel, 10k miles and they still had tread. My 4th set I put on a 1998 CBR900RR and I have to say they aren't suited to this bike. Funny feel, rear tire slippage in "extreme" lean angles, not confidence inspiring. Front tire is wearing well, rear is about gone 4K miles before the 1st 3 sets wore out. I would get another set, but not for the CBR900RR.

Although I’ve only had the tire for a month, I look forward to the long expected tread life. Excellent customer experience and service. Thanks soo much!

Avon AV56
I had a set of Dunlaps on my bike before, there is no comparison. I left the shop, let them get a little warm, and I was able to cut twisties with confidence. Don’t have many miles on them yet, but time will tell. Only complaint would be the shipping took around 12 to 13 days.

Great tire - For a sport touring bike.
Guy before me put these on my ‘05 R6. While they may hold up good on a SV650, or a monster, etc. I can EASILY out lean their grip ability and slide them. Not cool. As for miles - they hold up wonderfully. Just don’t expect you can drag knee with them, you will hurt yourself and your bike trying. They will be replaced with still 90% tread life with BT-016's.

Overall great tire
This tire replaced an Avon AV46 on my R1150RT which handled well and was extremely durable. Although I have yet to put many miles on this new tire, it is performing very well in both dry and wet conditions. I ride Avon due to the lasting wear, but they also handle very well and I highly recommend them.

Avon Storm
Wet or dry these tires stick beyond my abilities. In the wet, at max lean angle, crossing a paint stripe you can start to feel a little slip. -Must max out the air pressure, or the rear tire will square off. (Still got 8k miles like this with 5k mostly on a cross country trip). Good value for sport riding.

Avon AV56 STorm
This is my 5th Storm on my Honda ST 1100. Simply the best tire I have ever had on a motorcycle. First buy from MC Superstore. Price and service are just first rate. My next Storm will be from MC Superstore, too.

Avon rear tire
This is the best rear tire I've had on my ST1300. I have 9,000mi. And still has half of the tread left. Grip and handling are still as good as the stock 'Stones were. Will buy again.

Should not be a sport touring tire
I loved the AV 46 which lasted me roughly 6500 km on my SV1000S, so I thought this one would be better as they claim its longer lasting, so I bought 2 rear and one front...... not a good idea... the first rear has lasted me a whole 3800 km of EASY riding. Durability on this tire blows.

Well I hate to do this.
Ok let me start by saying I love Avon tires. These Storms I feel have let me down.
First set. Defective front tire. Replaced. Rear tire worn to 1.5mm in a little over 6000 miles. Front tire began to cup as soon as the new rear was put on. Right now I have a new set of Storm ST tires on my bike. Bike is at 17123 miles. Rear (3rd tire) went on at 15694. Front (4th tire one was defective) went on at 16995.
I have contacted Avon. They said they would return my call, and email me. They have done neither. Basically I am very disappointed in this tire so far. Maybe the set I got before was an aberration, but at this point I can not recommend this tire.
Rain handling it is great. Outstanding even.
Twisties it is good.
Braking it is great.
Comfort wise it is great.
Durability is not good. The stock Battle axes lasted 9000 miles. 3000 more than the Storm did.
Anyway you may have a different experience.

So far the tire seems really nice. It's a medium compound that I think will last quite a while. The Tire fits the Bike perfectly. I have a 02 Kaw 1500 Meanstreak. I'm very happy with the purchase!
