Shinko 230 Tour Master rear Tire
I really like these tires. I have friends that said I needed to try Metzlers on my 2006 Honda VTX1300C, but I wanted to try something out of the norm and purchased the Shinkos and waited until my original tires wore down, and they did at 17410 miles. I've been enjoying the Shinkos ever since. These Tour Masters put the fun into riding again for me. I'll buy this Brand again!

Shinko - 230 Tour Master Rear Tire
This is my third purchase of this tire. I have found the handling to be superb from brand new to worn out. I found the rate of wear to be about the same as the OEM tire that is available for my bike. I am happy to recommend this tire.

Too soon to tell but ...
Not enough miles on this tire to tell durability yet which is why I rated all items as a "3" (average). Tires arrived promptly. Appeared to be 'fresh', etc. When mounted/balanced (not by me) seem to ride well.

Nice tire. Fits the stock rear rim on my 1985 Yamaha XT350 Supermoto bike very well.

Balance
These are very sticky tires; they are priced very cheap. They ride comfortable. I have a problem with the line of weights needed to balance them though. Enough weight to balance 5 sets of tires? This makes me wonder about the quality of these tires. I've talked to many other users with the same weight situation. I have run these tires into the 130's with no vibration.

Absolutely Awesome Tires
Put a set of these tires on my V-Star 1100 Silverado Saturday morning, replacing my 2nd set of Dunlop 404 tires. I went for a ride on my favorite 250 mile loop through the Tahoe National Forest in the afternoon. What an incredible transormation. These tires virtually turned a 700+ pound cruiser into a sporting standard. Incredible grip, smooth and stable ride over cracked and broken pavement and super quick side to side transitions. Far superior to the Dunlops in every way. Absolutely awesome tires.

Great tires for price; third set I've purchased and they handle well in all road and weather conditions. They last longer than most big brand tire companies, too.

Shinko - 230 Tour Master Rear
I put the rear tire on the same time as the shinko front tire and then went on a 3000 mile trip to Colorado. Both tires are very good, holds a straight line, good grip in the curves, looks like it is wearing very well, should be a long time before I have to buy another set. When I do it will be another set of shinko tour masters.

Rear tire what a grip
In the past month since first putting these tires on. 4 real hard road flooding rains, up to 6 inches or more water on the road. Then twice ending up on freshly road done road scraping where its dirt, rock and maybe some pavement. I have to say without a doubt I love these tires. NO SLIP, NO SLIDE and most of all none of me under the bike. Grip is all some people. I WILL GET ANOTHER SET FOR MY T_BIRD and when these wear out another for my Speedmaster.

Great product for the price
I ride a modified Goldwing Interstsate "85" extremely hard, I'm just plain aggressive in my riding. In three months I have put 8200 miles on these tires and I am about to replace the back tire. Road handling is good; however, when you get some miles on these tires it will start to grab road lines. My Dunlap Elite II's were better on gravel roads and wear, but for the price you can't beat these Shinko's. And I won't buy tires online from anybody other than Motorcycle Superstore great prices and service.

Excellent tire
I had bought a front Shinko tire before (still on the bike now) and was impressed after a Dunlop which never conveyed the same confidence. The rear tire provides the same feel of grip on dry and wet pavement. Not sure of the durability since I only logged about 1000 miles so far, but for the price, this is an excellent buy.

I’ve only put 1400 miles on the tires (front and rear). I will say it was an unbelievable deal. I have had the bike into a corner shaving the foot pegs down at speed as well as motorofficer training (5 mph), had it at 65 mph in a downpour just last weekend. I have had it at 90 mph. They are quiet and smooth. I LOVE THEM! We shall see what kind of mileage I get.

I was not sure what quality was going to be like' but now that I have had the tire on the bike for a few hundred miles I like. It sticks to the road very good I can go through the twisties with a fist full of throttle.

Shinko 230 Tour - Rear Tire 140x90x15
Just got back from a 700 mile road trip with new Shinko's on front and rear. GREAT RIDE and super quiet both front and rear. Heads up on the rear tire however, seems a bit wider than OEM's. I thought I'd have plenty of clearance (width) for opting to a wider spread (170x80x15), turns out these tires fill up the wheel well just fine - would have been a mistake. My recommendation - stick with stock sizes. Great looks, price and shipping were excellent as well. BTW, it cost me more to have them installed than the actual cost of the tire - go figure. Get a set and get riding!!!

Great tire for the money
Have had them on for just a couple weeks so far so good was real east to mount, as for replacing the dunlop k555 will have to see if they get near the 7200 I got out of them, but for the price they don’t have to, has not rained yet so cannot rate that.

Tour Master Rear Tire
This tire replaced a Route 66 tire and seems to run very well. Had it in the rain yesterday and it stuck like it was dry. I ride a 2007 VTX1300R and this tire holds corners even with extra weight. Great tire for a great price.

TourMaster 230 F & R 1986 Wing
I first tried the Shinko TM230 on my 81 SilverWing as a favor to my MC shop for a test and review over years ago. Neither they nor I was expecting to find the best tire you can put on your touring rig for less on the pair than you would for a single tire of anything remotely comparable. After over 700k miles I've tried most brands, with the Metzler ML2(RIP) being the only Tour tire that I felt as/ more comfortable with (at $250 pr back in the early 90's). Even on my 86 Aspencade with trailer, I'm getting 15k+ miles, they stick like glue, wet performance is great, and I could almost install without rebalance (rear has taken up to 1oz each time)! Going through 2 sets on my SW (18.5k on each set) and my 3rd on the GW pretty much says it all! I can't wait to finish my custom Sport GL1000 to try out their Advance tires! I would definitely recommend these tires to ANYBODY looking for touring/ high mileage tires.

Shinko 230 Tour
While it's hard to properly compare the difference between two old, warn out tires and my new Shinko 230's I can definitely state the following: (1) No noise! They are simply an incredibly quiet tire. All I hear now is the tailpipe, the gearbox and my keys rattling on the handlebar. (2) Road snakes are completely gone! This is huge to me; I simply can't feel any of the parallel lines when I'm crossing them. (3) Steering: I must have been oversteering the old tires, because I had to quickly modify my steering habits with these tires. They are sooo easy in and out of turns. Very little effort is needed to control the bike. (4) Price: What's not to like - it cost me more to have them mounted than what I paid - thanks MSS. (5) Looks: They really look good on my bike - many positive comments from my skeptical friends/bikers. Finally: BUY EM, YOU'LL BE HAPPY! p.s. Thanks to all of the previous reviewers - helped a lot!

Great Tire
Never being one to follow the pack and also never one to pass up a good deal I purchased a pair of Tourmasters for my 84 Goldwing a few weeks ago. So far I have no issues with these tires whatsoever. They run quiet, smooth and corner great. Pulling in pavement grooves seems minimal. At this point I would recommend Shinko to anyone. I gave less than full marks for durability merely because I have no idea how they will last.

Dunlop-D402 This tire came as oem on my bike, which performed well. But I don't get the mileage. So I decided to replace it with the Shinko - 230 Tour Master Rear Tire. Motorcycle Superstore had a great price plus free shipping. 5 Stars. This was a great deal, tire was delivered quickly as was exactly what I expected, no hassles! Will definitely buy again.

Excellent! Must try!
Got these to replace my OEM Dunlops...all I can say is W-O-W! My VZ800 handles TONS better...even TOO good! Night and day difference as the Marauder is not known for its handling. With these tires, I can actually corner somewhat. Scraped my pegs all the way home from the dealership as the turning ability improved drastically. Excellent price too! Not sure how many miles/durability I'll get out of the Shinkos but my Dunlops were cupped after only 4600 miles. Will definitely buy again if these hold up.

great tire
I put this tire on my 98 virago 1100. I never heard of Sinko before (been around and riding bikes my whole life). I did a little research and read all the reviews I could find. Very little negative was said. So I figured the price was right why not give it a try. Shipping was fast, ordered it Sat. night and was at my door Thurs afternoon and on my bike Fri. morning. After a 60ish mile break in, I decided to see what it could do; I was very impressed held the corners very well. Straight line / interstate ridding it holds its line doesn’t wonder all over like some tires tend to do. I’ve put about 1200 miles on it so far and no real wear to speak of. Been in 1 rain storm with it so far, held the road great. When I ride 2 up with my girlfriend handles fine and the extra 120lbs don’t seem to faze it in the lest. Great tire great service great price.

Great tire at an Amazing Price
I love this tire! It hugs the road and gives you a feeling of complete confidence angling into the turns. The fit, finish, tread pattern and price are all top-notch. At this price you can't go wrong. I read the great reviews this tire has received from other Superstore customers, and now I can proudly add my name to the list. Why pay twice as much for the same quality tire? The folks at Motorcycle Superstore had my tire shipped to me in a matter of days and would definitely do business with them again. Put a pair of Shinkos on your bike and feel the difference. BTW, I own a 1982 Honda CX500C, and now it feels like a brand new bike.

Shinko - Balance
I have been using this type of tire in this size since 1979. In 30 years of trying Michelin, Metzler, ChengChin etc... I can tell you that the Shinko has become my favorite due to the better ride and excellent all weather handling. I also found that I hardly need to balance these. Before I liked Michelin but they had become less available and expensive. Sure, the mileage wear was good but so stiff that the ride suffered. You could also buy a cheaper tire but then they need lots of balance weights and either stink in wet weather or wear out in 6K miles.

Shinko 230 Tour Master rear tire on my 1984 Honda Goldwing
I just replaced my old Dunlop Elite II rear tire with this Shinko Tour Master. The Dunlop Elite is a favorite of Goldwing riders. Well, this Shinko is an excellent replacement. It rides smooth and quiet and transitions nicely going from a straight line to a curve. I purchased the matching front tire and so far couldn't be happier. I've only had it a month so I can't speak to its wear qualities but if I get reasonable wear from the tire I'll be replacing it with the same tire. Note: I gave it a 3 for durability and features because I wasn't allowed to leave these fields blank. For the price this tire can't be beat. I've read many comments about Shinko tires on several bike forums and many people love them.

Shadow 1100 with Shinko 230 rear Tire
I put this tire on my 2000 Shadow Spirit 1100, I was hesitant to do so because of the cheap price but I have to say that I was very pleased, it really grabs the road. I am an aggressive rider and have dragged the kick stand bracket several times since putting them on. The Dunlap 808s that are factory made the bike feel loose; I will never put them on this bike again. It will be interesting to see how the Shinko's last thus the 3 rating. I generally only get 4000 out of my back tires so I will know in 3-4 months when I replace this one.

Great Tire, Great Price
The SHINKO tires are GREAT, MUCH better than the Dunlop ARROWMAX tires that I took off! Mounting was a snap, tires did not require any weight to correct out of balance (VERY RARE!). When I got the wheels re-installed I did not expect the handling to be noticeably different, boy was I wrong. These tires grip to the edge and are very predictable when leaned over. Noise is not present. Transition from straight lines to lean over is excellent. High speed stability (up to 120 mph on GPS) is excellent. No sign of headshake or high speed wobble. Ride is smooth. Traction is great. In all these are GREAT TIRES REGARDLESS OF PRICE. Why would you pay twice as much for a "??? NAME BRAND ???" tire? No reason to do so if SHINKO makes a tire that fits your bike. The great price makes them that much better! I will buy SHINKO again and use them on ALL 6 of my bikes!

I got this rear tire installed and it rides great. I like the tread pattern and feel it is as well made as the more expensive tires. I am going to keep track of mileage, but as a road cruiser that doesn't dog it a lot--I feel I will get good mileage out of it. Anyway-very happy with the purchase.

I purchased a set of Shinko tires several months ago and love them. They provide a smooth ride with good control. I have had no problems with handling on dry or wet pavement. These tires seem to perform as well as the premium tires I have used in the past. I recommend Shinko as a great value.
