one of the best
It has better performance than the MAXXIS I had before, when I ride in the Florida weather. I would only buy this tire, from now on, for my Busa.

Michelin tires give you a different bike than you had...
When I purchased my R6, it had a pilot front tire, but an off brand rear. The bike always felt a little off as far as grip, so I never pushed it. When I replaced the rear, I matched it to the front pilot, and bought a pilot rear. I was going to purchase a different brand, but I've been told on numerous occasions from other riders, Michelin's are the top dog, no matter if they are on bikes, cars, trucks, whatever. So, I figured heck, give it a shot, they only cost a little more than the cheap stuff. WOW....I've ridden friends bikes with brand new tires off the showroom floor, and they don't handle or grip like mine does now. The bike grips like no other, and feels completely at home on curves that are way too tight at speeds that are way too fast (126+). I've been riding street bikes for awhile, and I will never own another without michelins. And my tires are only the pilots...I can't imagine how the really expensive michelins feel. I've only ridden the bike in one rainstorm, but I felt really comfortable, still had good grip. I highly recommend them. Good tires.

Great tire. Got 11,000 miles out of the last one. Saved enough buying the tire from Motorcycle Superstore to pay for mounting and balancing.

michelin pilot rear tire
After only buying bf,s for so long this tire makes them and me sick. This is a far more aggressive tire for sticking corners, and doing some tricks on my 1000 hurricane, I will purchase this tire again and have told my friends about this. We ride together as a group buy about 25 sets a year. I was the first to try these and I love them. cant rate the wet traction or tread life yet as we have had no rain but the first 800 miles look good and ride smooth, I can almost lay my bike down in a corner and it sticks without problems. The only problem I have is I cannot do any more burnouts, making these last a little longer, lol my boyfriend is about due for a rear and he said he will most certainly buy this brand.

Great tire for me. I've gone a couple hundred miles and not even a hint of a flat spot so far. Plenty of traction in the twisties for my skill level (average). I gave it a middle rating for wet traction because I've never driven on a wet road so far. My front tire is a different make but it was no problem, perfectly stable. Would never recommend for the track but that should be obvious. Good street tire, looks unique...good buy. Shipped to Wisconsin from Oregon in 5 days with the free shipping.

I just got the tires the day before I rode from NYC to Ocean City MD. The tires were smooth and gripped well. I also this past weekend rode during the rain here in NYC and they just about gripped as well when it was dry. I was doing about 70 on the Major Deegan, to my surprise no slip at all. Nice tires recommend by another member of my bike club.

Michelin Pilot Road review
This is the best wearing and all around rear tire I have had. I am an easy rider and got 18000 miles on the OE one that came on my Suzuki SV-1000.

good commute tire
Good tire for the commute with good enough cornering ability for the occasional twisties. A little bit heavier than a normal sporting tire but it’s to be expected from a tire that has a long tread life.

Outstanding tire - Pilot Roads
Had 3 sets on my BMW RT1200 and can not say enough about these tires. 14k plus on each set. Excellent in the rain, zero noise, and great cornering. Hate to go to the PR 2's.

Good tire. I haven't ridden except from the dealer who installed it to my house; but it replaced an identical OEM Michelin.

This is a great tire. I ride a '04 Honda VFR 800 and these tires are much better than the equivalent from Dunlop that came on my bike. Just ordered my second set and thank goodness they were in stock. My local dealer said that Michelin is no longer making this model and it will be replaced by Pilot Road 2. I guess it will be improved but for how much more per set (about $80)? I'd rather stick with what I've got than pay a bunch more.

Michelin Pilot Road in Florida weather
I have gotten 14,000 miles twice out of the rear tire and ride hard and mild, extremely fast and wheelies, to days of just passivity. Burnouts are few but once a month. These hold well in the rain in our curves and give me good stability at high speeds. I am going for my third pair front and rear. I recommend them highly.

Update - in the cold weather
Well, everybody here is raving about this tire... and I was too. But, now that it's cold out (east coast) this same happy tire when it's warm is showing some very long warm-up times. Not sticky at all, back tire skidding to a stop under hard breaking, and wet just makes me nervous all the time. I'm now shopping for a 'quick warm-up, sticky sport tire for the winter. Mileage be dammed, I want to stick to road, not slid around on it. You can’t get high mileage on a tire if you’re broken or dead! Pirelli Diablo Stradas sound good via these reviews, but then so did my Michelin - Pilot Road. Come’on people a review is both the good and the bad. Exaggeration makes you feel good about your purchase but it’s not completely true.

Suzuki DL650 V-Strum 2007
With full Givi Saddle and trunk bags, coming out of the City (Phila,Pa) going into Logan’s Circle (Phila Art Musem and Statue of Rocky) at about 45mph accelerating to 55mph leaning way over into the corners - I see (out of my peripheral) people on the sidewalks pointing as I went by. Pretty cool! Oh the tires, they’re awesome! The grip and security that translates to the operator is very confidence building.

I am pretty sure I bought the first set of these tires in this area. My 03 FJR Yamaha is showing almost 72k on the odo as of now. I love these tires, have gone thru 4 sets so far and about to buy new ones. I have gotten over 10k on them consistently and more than that on this set. They are great in the rain and a delight on the twisties. Several of my finicky friends finally broke down and tried them and say they love them too. You can spend much more on other tires and end up with less tire th

Had Metezler ME4's on my SV650 and got 8k out of them. Switched to Road Pilots since ME4's not available anymore. Very comparable tire with much better road feel and corning capability. The only area I'd like to see more info is how these tires perform at an occasional track day. Give me 3 months and I'll let you know.

I love these tires. They replaced the originals on my '04 BMW R1150R and have a wonderful elliptical roll to them that makes low cornering super fun. Smooth, with excellent traction. Highly recommended.

I have not tried any other tire as of yet, however I’ve gotten 21,000km (13049 miles)on my first set. I do not plan to change. I am not an aggressive rider, however I can corner as well as my buddies with race tires, and I am getting all most twice the mileage with these tires. Both front & back are worn equally too.

Awesome road tire, wet and dry. It gives me a very sure feel of the road. Better than the Dunlops that came stock on my VFR.

On the 03 BMW R1150R this tire is excellent. Very good handling and control. I was amazed how safe the bike felt at 70+ mph on a wet road. On my old Virago with Dunlop bias-ply tires I wouldn't even approach 50 mph under the same conditions. My BMW does not have ABS, and yet the tires almost never lock up. The previous Michelin lasted almost 15,000 mi. Worth the money.

I'm on my 3rd set of Michelin tires on my R1100RT, averaging 12-14000 miles per tire. I was pls to get my new tire promptly. I was equally impressed when it stuck to the road on newly paved black top road in the pour rain. I'll by another set. Ride-ON!

Immediately better handling than my bt020's, of course they were worn out. I think I may get good mileage from these tires in the Miami heat and they handle and grip well also on my 1200 bandit. Michelin makes a great tire!

I ride 60 miles each day over all surfaces, at varied speeds, and my rear Pilot Road has 14,280 miles on it with tread left for another month or so. Awesome grip in rain, curves. Totally recommend these tires.
