Outstanding tire - Pilot Roads
Had 3 sets on my BMW RT1200 and can not say enough about these tires. 14k plus on each set. Excellent in the rain, zero noise, and great cornering. Hate to go to the PR 2's.

Good tire. I haven't ridden except from the dealer who installed it to my house; but it replaced an identical OEM Michelin.

Pilot Road discontinued
This is a great tire. I ride a '04 Honda VFR 800 and these tires are much better than the equivalent from Dunlop that came on my bike. Just ordered my second set and thank goodness they were in stock. My local dealer said that Michelin is no longer making this model and it will be replaced by Pilot Road 2. I guess it will be improved but for how much more per set (about $80)? I'd rather stick with what I've got than pay a bunch more.

Michelin Pilot Road in Florida weather
I have gotten 14,000 miles twice out of the rear tire and ride hard and mild, extremely fast and wheelies, to days of just passivity. Burnouts are few but once a month. These hold well in the rain in our curves and give me good stability at high speeds. I am going for my third pair front and rear. I recommend them highly.

Update - in the cold weather
Well, everybody here is raving about this tire... and I was too. But, now that it's cold out (east coast) this same happy tire when it's warm is showing some very long warm-up times. Not sticky at all, back tire skidding to a stop under hard breaking, and wet just makes me nervous all the time. I'm now shopping for a 'quick warm-up, sticky sport tire for the winter. Mileage be dammed, I want to stick to road, not slid around on it. You can’t get high mileage on a tire if you’re broken or dead! Pirelli Diablo Stradas sound good via these reviews, but then so did my Michelin - Pilot Road. Come’on people a review is both the good and the bad. Exaggeration makes you feel good about your purchase but it’s not completely true.

Suzuki DL650 V-Strum 2007
With full Givi Saddle and trunk bags, coming out of the City (Phila,Pa) going into Logan’s Circle (Phila Art Musem and Statue of Rocky) at about 45mph accelerating to 55mph leaning way over into the corners - I see (out of my peripheral) people on the sidewalks pointing as I went by. Pretty cool! Oh the tires, they’re awesome! The grip and security that translates to the operator is very confidence building.

These tires come from the factory on my 599 and they are great especially if you like to get low in the corners.

I am pretty sure I bought the first set of these tires in this area. My 03 FJR Yamaha is showing almost 72k on the odo as of now. I love these tires, have gone thru 4 sets so far and about to buy new ones. I have gotten over 10k on them consistently and more than that on this set. They are great in the rain and a delight on the twisties. Several of my finicky friends finally broke down and tried them and say they love them too. You can spend much more on other tires and end up with less tire th

Michelin Road Pilot tires
Had Metezler ME4's on my SV650 and got 8k out of them. Switched to Road Pilots since ME4's not available anymore. Very comparable tire with much better road feel and corning capability. The only area I'd like to see more info is how these tires perform at an occasional track day. Give me 3 months and I'll let you know.
