Best upgrade you can do for a Ninja 500
So, I ride a Ninja 500 and these Metzelers are absolutely inspiring. Cornering at full lean in the cold still grips a lot. Needless to say when it's warm, it grips like no other. A competitive alternative would have to be the Michelin Pilot Powers. When it’s warm, press onto the tire with your finger and it sticks. Confident turn in and power out. On the freeway it is stable, swallows up bumps well and also very smooth on Los Angeles freeways (really rough concrete).

Amazing tire
This is the only tire I use for my bike!!! Last week I took my ZX6RR out on the track... not only did my tires warm up in the first 2 laps... by the 6th lap they were breaking down and became extremely tacky (sticky). My tires gave me more confidence to travel around the track faster because I knew I was going to stick every corner and hit every apex.... no slips.. No slides.. It was like I was riding on fly paper.

Pretty good Tire
I have put about 600 miles on a new set front and rear of these M3's on my zx1100. So far they have exceeded my expectations however I have not ridden in rain yet so it is hard to say what wet traction is going to be like. I can already see some wear on the rear tire, however that doesn't surprise me as the tire it replaced - a Michelin Pilot only lasted 4,500 miles. So far this has been the best set of tires I have put on the bike. These are leaps and bounds better than the Dunlops and I feel better than the Michelin Pilots I put on after that.

Mostly happy with the tire
Disappointed that I have worn them out in about 4200 miles, but that is more than a thousand miles more than what I got out of PP, and PP2CT's- so from that perspective they were awesome. Traction was always good, and I was extremely happy with them-other than I think a good sticky sportbike tire should be able to last about 6000 miles.

metzeler sportec m3 rear tire "200/50/17
Im a ZZR1200 owner. this tire at this size made a big difference in cornering in all conditions. This tire can be trusted. Could last a little longer. i get 4000 miles out of it with a big bike.

Better than the other tires I've run
I own a zzr600, have tried PP's, PP2CT's, and qualifiers, the metzelers were atleast as good as any of them, and the best feature was, even when I wore out the Metzeler, it was the same profile and shape. (not flat across the center of the tread). I do alot of faster riding on wisconsin alphabet roads (twisties) but it is a 70 mile ride to get to them, and about 140 mile road home at the end of the day, so about 1/2 the miles are straight up and 1/2 are riding the 'fun" areas. My rear showed significant wear at 4,294 miles, 5 miles later I had some metal showing. So I am very disappointed in the tread life, but it is more miles than I got out of anyone elses tires on this bike. I ordered another rear, and will run the front one more time. I am going to try the bt016's next, and if they arent any better. I will stick with the metzelers, I enjoyed them and they worked great. I was disappointed in the tread life...which is so 'rider dependant" on any bike, but really--how hard can it be to make a 'sticky" tire with good rain and dry characteristics, that lasts more than 5000 miles?

Best Tire Around
When I bought my bike it came with bridgestones, after less than a season they were toast so i picked up a pair on Metzelers. They are the best tires that I’ve had on it and that i'll ever put on it. They wear well, have great grip, and are smooth, they're a little slippery in the rain but all around a great tire.

Great Tire
I love this tire. I feel great at all angles on it. I ride a TLR and this thing puts the power to the road. My only complaint about this tire is the mileage. I have a 60 mile commute round trip to work and it's on straight road. So the center has worn out quick on the rear. For those who love the cornering, this is a great tire for it
