Product Description
Dunlop GT501 Sport Bias Front Tire
Built on the success of Dunlop's K591
Same proven bias-ply construction as the K591, but with a radial-style tread pattern for more contemporary styling and a larger footprint
Larger contract patch increases cornering confidence, with smooth side-to-side transitions
Higher tread-to-void ratio produces superior grip in dry conditions, with no loss of grip in wet weather
Increased pattern depth at the center of the tread for improved wear characteristics
New tread pattern offers increased stability
Blackwall design
V-rated for speeds up to 149 mph

I put a set of these tires on my 82 Seca 650. For the price these tires work great; providing a smooth stable ride with excellent traction on both dry and wet pavement.

Much Improvement
I have the Ninja 250, and it was in need of it's second set of tires. I looked all over for some great upgrades compared to the stock tires this bike comes with. These seemed to be a good choice, as well as good price. They are a HUGE improvement from the stock tires, there's just way more stability that was missing with the stocks. I just have one problem with these, they don't come in the exact size, so I have to get the bigger tires which makes the bike a little slower, and for a 250 it's a big deal for me, I would not get these tires again only because of that. I do enjoy them more than the stock tires though.

I have always used Dunlop tires on my bikes. They all have had great traction but they do seem to wear a little faster than they should but I still believe Dunlop tires are still one of the best tires you buy for the buck!

This is the third or fourth set of these I've put on my '83 VT 500 Ascot. They work great for all year round commuting. I've even chased down a couple of newer Sport bikes on my way home.

GT501(s) on Vintage G1983 S1100E Suzuki
I recently installed GT501(s) on my 1983 GS1100E, definitely a good choice even if it was a little pricey. Running 40PSI in rear and 34PSI in front. This was according to Dunlop’s advice for this particular bike. Tried varying the PSI in front and found they are right-on. Steering is totally neutral and the bike "flicks: through the twisties like a modern superbike.
