Product Description
Pirelli Diablo Rosso Rear Tire
  • The new concept tire from Pirelli is called the Diablo Rosso. Instead of using multi-compounds, they use what is called EPT (Enhanced Patch Technology) to ensure a better grip and better performance on the road.
  • Based on their leading experience in the motorcycle racing world, they produced this tire for the street legal (super)sports motorcycles. Sports motorcycles have been increasing their power and torque over the last decade, and the tires need to follow this trend. Current tires are limited, hence the reason Pirelli came out with a new concept.
  • The structure design is aimed to maximize - at every lean angle and every speed - the contact patch; in terms of area, shape and pressure. This combination supports the tread to reach an unbeatable level of grip and stability. The tire structure has been designed in order to get the set synchronized into balanced behavior, with the 2 tires perfectly matched in dynamic use.
  • The patented Zero Degrees steel belt below the tread keeps the tires in the most suitable shape at all times and yet provides enough elasticity for a very progressive feedback and behavior in lean, allied to unbeatable bump absorption. With the support of the compound the zero degrees steel belt also guarantees huge braking stability.

Bob Goodyear,  AZ Diablo Rosso Rear Tire I mounted the first Rosso on the rear of my 08' 1098S and just put a complete set on after 7500 hard one up and two up riding. The tire supports hard canyon and street riding with great traction at all angles of lean. My front was a Dragon and I really do not like it as much as the Rosso. Not as much feel as I get with the new front Rosso. Glad the front is every bit as good as the rear. Rosso just puts you in contact with the road and sticks like glue. No wet miles so not sure how the Rosso would work in the rain so rated it a 4 since there is no "not observed" rating. Just can't say enough about this tire. Probably could have gone another 500 miles but do not like to go down to the wear strips. The sides get good and sticky fast and stay that way. Great tires.

James Betker Marion,  OH Excellent tires Just got back from a 1500 mi trip down to the Tail of the Dragon in the Smokey Mountains. The tires were great, tons of grip and quick warm up time. They did get a little squarly in the little bit of rain but that was probably mostly the oil on the roads coming up from the light moisture.

Miles Cullowhee,  NC Rosso Front and Rear These are good tires. I don't ride as hard as a lot of sport bike riders, and I haven't seen an enormous difference between these and my old (OLD OLD OLD) Diablo T's because of my slow poking. I can say that the Rosso's are significantly softer and stickier than the Diablo Ts. I feel more secure on these and have not noticed any instability or unsettling feedback from the tires through corners. Trusting my bike is important to me, and I trust these tires. For the price, they're a great deal!

Charles Waco,  TX Pirelli Diablo Rosso Great tire. Cornering is perfect although there is still about an inch of virgin tire on the side because I can’t get low enough to touch it. I would literally have to put my knee on the ground to hit it and no leathers yet! Lean angle is great and haven’t had it break loose yet. In the rain this tire also performs well with nice traction. Don’t know about mileage yet only had it for a month and 300 miles but seems to be doing well. I had a Dunlop Qualifer before but this Pirelli is 100% different. Great buy!

Jeremy Seattle,  WA Not so sure Put both front & rear on my Hypermotard. They were great when the temp. Was up over 70 deg. Now the temp is down in the 60's and I have notice that they really do not stick. I had been running the Corsa III's up until this set and will go back to them on the next set. The rear end is VERY twitchy when coming out of a corner and getting on the gas. Yesterday I felt like I was on my dirt back as I came out of a corner with the ass end sliding. GLAD I ride dirt bikes or I would have got tossed. Corsa III's are the way to go.

Jeremy Seattle,  WA So So Just put the Rosso's on the front and rear of my Hypermotard. They seem to be good so far. Only have about 700 miles on them. They DO NOT hook up like the Corsa III's do when the temp. is below 70 deg. Last couple of weeks were really hot out here in the NW but the last couple of days it has been in the 60's. They just don't stick like the Corsa III's. In fact I am a little hesitant to stand on it coming out of corners. They were did save me money but I don't know that I would run them again.

jonathan sarasota,  FL Just great. Simply put, I have never had a negative thought about the rossos. I have really pushed these tires pretty far and I have had no problems doing so. What I like best about these tires is the fact that they communicate to the rider. You know when you are pushing the tires to their threshold. A slight wobble in the chassis lets you know that it’s time to lay off. I have had previous tires that were not as forgiving. Besides that, the tire's ability to grip the road is pretty nice too, even in the rain for the most part. Along with the tire's traction it also has a good contour. The shape of the tire really allows the rider to enter a turn very smoothly and quickly with almost no effort. Unfortunately because the tires are a softer compound, they wear out quickly in comparison to harder compound tires that of which you would find on a cruiser; but, that is the nature of the beast. Most of the riders in my group ride with pirelli tires. I personally can't wait to get my hands on Pirelli's higher tire model, the super corsa.

Curtis Taylorsville,  NC Rosso's are for Real!!!! I bought these tires after hearing nothing but good reviews from both friends and professional riders. I couldn't be happier with the ride and feel that these tires have delivered. Even though I've only put a little over 500 miles on them, I've had a chance to do 2 things that I haven't previously done on my R1. First, I got caught in the rain, (for the first time on said bike), and the handling was incredible. The bike remained calm in and out of the corners and seemed to be really effective at dispersing the water. Secondly, I was able to get my Knee-Down for the first time in my life on July 4th! Now, I don't know if it was because of the confidence that these tires instilled in me, or because my skill level and riding ability had just reached a new level but either way, I did it with Pirelli Diablo Rosso's fitted on my bike. Take a chance and try these tires. You won't be sorry and recommend em' to your friends afterwards. They'll thank you for it! My two previous tire types were Michelin Pilots and Bridgestone 002's and they are EXCELLENT tires, but I longed for better tread wear and on par grip, and this is why I made the switch to the Pirelli's. Unbeatable price and amazing grip...... THUMBS UP!! Thank YOU Motorcycle Superstore for delivering a great product, :)
