Smoke shield
I love the new smoke shield for by CL-SP helmet. Absolutely no fog and great visibility in bright sunlight. I was out late the other night and forgot my clear shield and I was surprised how well it worked at night, I could clearly see the road and headlight glare was removed entirely. I'm not recommending you do this all the time but it'll work in a pinch.

OK, but does not lock down without a lot more work than standard issue. If you want air leak from the lip this is the shield for you. If you want a tight seal, don't buy this.

Love the shield
This shield is great. i don't need sun glasses. i got the dark smoke and it blacks out my face to others however you can still use it at night. i got caught after dark and with the street lights i could still see. i probably would recommend using at night if you can help it but you can still see if need be.

Dark Smoke Faceshield for the HJC helmet (CL-15)

AC-12 replacement shield
Fit & quality very good. I'm glad I got the smoke and not the dark smoke. It's plenty dark in bright sunlight, and as I leave for work very early and it's not quite all the way light yet, this one works out great.

Third Shield
I currently have the amber and clear (came with the helmet) shields. I purchase the dark carbon because the amber isn't dark enough for days with the high summer sun in New Mexico. Clear was perfect in the winter when my commute was at dawn, with a return in the dark of night. Amber was perfect in the Spring with morning sunshine on the way in and fading daylight on the way home. Carbon has turned out to be great now that my entire commute may be sunny. On overcast days I still use the amber shield.

Decent replacement shield for my CL-15
I like the tint. Keeps out the glaring sun, and not too dark to see when it gets dark out.
The anti-fog coating helps, but doesn't eliminate fogging. That's more fault of the CL-15, as ventilation isn't this helmet's strong-suit. The solution is to just pop the visor up a little so a little air gets in while still protecting your eyes.

Keeps the Bugs Out of My Eyes
It's a face shield -- what can I say? The AC-12 shields are easy to replace and seem to have a harder finish than most. They do hold up well to routine cleaning without scratching. The anti-fog works fairly well. Good pricing means I can replace it more often - I'm always bumping into walls and such with mine. Wish it was available in the gradients like the newer FS16 helmet shields.

Anti-fog smoke shield
I was very pleased with this shield. It is dark enough to be used on sunny days in North Carolina without having to wear sunglasses, but it is not too dark to be used at dusk or dawn in lower light situations. I will probably not put the clear shield back on my helmet.

Dark Shield for HJC
Fits well and looks great. Really nice on those bright days. I can wear it a little before it gets dark. Once the night falls, it's back to the clear shield. The transition from one to the other is very easy.

Perfect Shield, Dark Smoke
Fits perfectly as expected from a shield made by the helmet manufacturer. I got the dark smoke because I dropped a pair of Oakley’s last season and they got crushed by a car. Now I carry a pair of clear glasses to ride with at night with the visor up instead of sunglasses under a clear visor. The visor is black, unlike the picture above, which shows a sort of amber color. Very crisp visibility in daylight, right up until the sun goes down. In an emergency it can even be used at night on a well lit road. No glare. I don't have to squint, even in direct sunlight.

Overall color and fitment of this shield is perfect. Good for sunny riding although I haven’t had too much of a chance yet with the weather. Not ok in pitch black, but during summer should be able to ride until dusk with this shield. Another good product from HJC.

The shield looks good on my helmet. A few of things I was not happy with. One, that it is not fog proof. This can be a problem early in the morning when I leave home and its cool outside. Two, there is a drip mark on one side from what appears to be the dark tint. I had no idea the tint was sprayed on. And finally, I was hoping it would be darker tint. Riding into the sun can be pretty annoying when you have to squint. Other than that the shield is a good buy.

Great visor
I bought two of these shields at the beginning of the winter when everyone was out of the fog city ones. I am happy they were out. These shields have been great. No fogging and no seems like the fog city inserts which I always found annoying. The dark visors is dark enough for the brightest days so no need for sunglasses. Well worth the price. F.Y.I, I ride all year round every day except in the ice and snow. I have had these visors out in temps from the low 40s in the rain(when everything wants to fog) to the mid teens. No problems at all.

Shield fit perfect on CL-SP. Good anti-fog. Color is dark enough for sunny days but not quite enough when riding directly into sunlight. I have placed a darker strip across the top to remedy this. These shields are the easiest to change I have seen. I wasn't sure from the pics if the shield would include the lock lever. It did. Great shield. Could only be better if it was just a little less expensive...

Exactly what I expected
I ordered the dark smoke shield for my HJC CL-15 and love it. It's plenty dark so I don't have to wear sunglasses. I previously ordered the amber shield but like the dark smoke much better. It also gives you more of a stealth look while you're riding since other drivers can't see in to your face.

Love my amber shield
Amber color is great for sun protection, although I still wear sunglasses, and even works for night riding. The amber tint helps my eyes focus directly on the night lights around me as they stand out more.

I bought this shield so I wouldn't have to wear sunglasses under my clear shield. It works great. It's not overly dark to the point that I can't see in tunnels. The way it attaches to the helmet is so easy. The anti-fog seems to work when I was riding to work in 50 degree weather.

Dark Smoke visor for CL-SP
Worth every penny as always. The visor does exactly what it says, I bought the dark smoke for the fact its the darkest with out going mirrored as mirrored/iridium has as bad habit of scratching very easy, just hitting a bug will mark it. Looks played a big part as well as functionality; it helps keep the anonymous look. The only way any one could see your face is if they pressed their nose on the visor. Really reduces eye strain and make riding more fun with out having to squint or mess around with sunglasses. I would recommend this item to any biker who plans on riding when the suns out.

Good replacement shield
Thought it might not fit due to my wife's helmet being an SM but it swapped out in seconds and fit perfectly. She's really happy with the amber color. Really brightens things up yet cuts the glare on really sunny days. We'll see how it wears. Would recommend. Very happy with the service I get from Motorcycle Superstore. I ordered the HJC shield in smoke for my CL-15 helmet because I wanted a way to cut down on glare without wearing sunglasses. All in all, the shield gets the job done for me, although I haven't run into a situation yet where I could really test its effectiveness over several hours. What's impressed me most about this experience is my CL-15 helmet and the fact that I can swap out my shields in a snap. Now that I've got the hang of it (which didn't take long), I can swap out my smoke shield for my clear one in about 10 seconds, which is great for trips I have to make into town at night.

I purchased this dark smoke shield for HJC AC-12 helmet and I am very satisfied with it. It fits very well and was very easy to install. The anti-fog shield does its job well on average. However, in the very cold morning, it still gets some fogging but it is better than non-anti-fog coated shields.

I purchased the anti-fog smoke finish, then took it into the Smokies for Thanksgiving. Five days at 30-40 degrees, some snow flurries, some fog. Screen stayed clear. The darkness of the color is a totally personal preference. I commute around sunrise and sunset, for which this color is perfect. I would choose a darker finish for midday. Optical quality is great. Clarity is great. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Really nice shield...
I purchased this shield to replace my mirrored one that continuously seemed to be chipping and fogged too easily. This one however, is fantastic. It only, very slightly, fogs at a stop light on very cool mornings. It's great on sunny days, really doesn't need to be changed out for evening rides. Since I am a commuter, a good all around shield is important to me, and this one is outstanding.
