Excellent replacement hardware!
This hardware seems to fit more flush on my helmet than the original did. Although, I think someone had been testing out the helmet in the store before I bought it. The original hardware broke the first time I took my shield off to clean it. This is a good replacement at a good price.

I wouldn't be buying this one if the first one hadn't failed, so I could be happier. $10 is a bit much for a very simple, delicate mechanism, but we'll see how long it lasts this time. First time around…dropped the helmet on the visor and the mechanism took the brunt about five months in. I know, I know. Don't drop the helmet.

Excelent Replacement
This was an exact fit for the original product. The only reason I rated durability as a 2, is because the original one broke about two months into owning the helmet. Otherwise it works great, and fits perfect.

Why I got em'
I'm getting this fancy set of shield guards because (1) Some jacka** put me in the hospital after pulling an illegal U-turn in front of me; draggin me by the head for about 5ft and then crushing my ribs. (2) Because I don't wanna buy a new helmet. and yeah :)
