I love the face shield. It allows excellent coverage during daylight hours. At night it allows good road coverage in areas with street lights and keeps the bugs out. Excellent purchase.

Tricky to install but good shield
This is my third shield since I tend to drop my helmet and it always seems to land on the shield! The shield is great, but would be nice if it came with instructions. I could re-install it faster now that I've done it, but considering that I only do this once every few months, it takes awhile to remember how.

Not much to say about a Shield
It does what it’s supposed to do. It's dark enough for the daytime w/ sun glasses, and light enough for night. It's a little tricky to install. I kept the plastic on the shield until after I put it on the helmet. This was to reduce the chance of scratches. I just removed the plastic from the parts that locked into the helmet.

HJC Shield for CL-MAX Helmet
Great product! I purchased the gold shield, and it is very cool looking. The fit is perfect. It blocks out the sun and glare, and looks like it belongs on a fighter pilot's helmet. I love it!

Sweet!
Got the chrome finish, and am very pleased. Install was a snap, so long as you don't man-handle it like it seems others reviewed here have done. My only grievance is that in direct sunlight I can see my face's reflection, but it's a small price to pay to be able to ride without sunglasses!

No more blindness
My OEM shield has had some scratches on it for years. Only really bad if the sun reflects just right into them. This shield does an amazing job with the sun. Super bright light will still be a problem, but for the most part, I do not see any reason why I'll need to wear sunglasses again under the helmet. Fitting it in was just as difficult as typical. It's annoying and you need patience and a little luck. The major downside is that the coating scratches WAY easily. That said, I'd likely buy again.

CL-Max shield
I'd like to say the face shield is exactly what I expected. It's not. The mirror finish extended to the inside of the shield and makes seeing instruments on the bike very difficult with the sun is in your face as you get an unusual amount of glare and what I call reflect back, in your vision. To the point that you have to raise the shield to be able to read the instruments or see the speedo when riding into the sun. If the sun is at a 90 degree angle to the path of travel there is an additional amount of reflection into the field of view as well.

Hard to install. Be careful not to lose little black plastic part after removing old shield. Works very well after installed!

RST Shield for HJC Helmets
First off when I received the shield it was packed very well and protected. It also had a protective clear plastic over the lens. This is my first RST shield and my first replacement shield for my helmet. I have a HJC CL-Max. Removing the old shield was easy. Getting the new one on was not as easy as it looked, but I finally managed. I suggest leaving the clear plastic on the shield until after it's installed. I did cause a small scratch when installing the shield. The shield does scratch easy, so be careful. Once the shield was on, it looks great. I got the blue shield, but it has a yellow tint when looking out it. The yellow tint really helps with the clarity and glare reduction. I live in the Southwest where the sun is bright and relentless. I don't have to wear my sunglasses under my helmet. Riding at night, it does darken your field of vision, but not bad, or at a dangerous level, clarity is still good. If there is no traffic I use my brights which helps. All in all I do like the shield, I will probably buy an other. I do wish it would have come with installation and care instructions. It does scratch easy and for the price that is not a good thing. I did get an other scratch on it and I have no idea how. I'm very careful where and how I place my helmet.

HJC Max Reflective Replacement Shield
I can only ditto all the positive comments listed above. This shield (I have a silver one) cuts the glare nicely, and I no longer have to deal with the hassle of sunglasses. And I have no vision problems riding at night. My only regret is that I didn't make the swap from the stock clear shield earlier!

Awesome for glare. Never noticed how much I had to squint my eyes sometimes while riding with my stock visor. And like others have said, your face stays cooler because it reflects the suns rays. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

AC-11 Silver Greatly Reduces Glare
The silver mirrored shield makes for quicker suiting up since I don't have to deal with putting on and taking off sunglasses. Glare is completely eliminated in the bright West Texas sun. Your head/face stays cooler because sun rays are reflected by the shield instead of being absorbed by your skin and interior of the helmet near the shield.

HJC Reflective Replacement shield
The silver shield on my Crimson AC-11 looks fantastic, but more importantly it totally blocks out glare and makes riding in bright sunlight fun and easy without squinting! It's also light enough that I can ride in low light situations even nighttime. Easy to install too!

Awesome visor
Visor added a nice touch to my helmet. Lightly tinted, but not so dark that if you get caught at dusk without a clear one you can still see to get home. Recommend to anyone.
