  • Compatible with all of Shoei’s current full face models (X-Eleven, RF-1000, Multitec, and TZ-R); the CX-IV Half Tinted Shield offers Shoei customers another way to customize their riding experience. Like all of Shoei’s shields, the CX-IV Half Tinted Shield filters out 99% of UVA and UVB rays and is three dimensionally curved to reduce distortion.

Konstantin Brampton,  ON Visor Great visor, easy to install. It gets rid of the strong sun light, but if you are used to sunglasses then it might not be enough. Otherwise decent during the day, and no need to change it at night time at all.

Dave Winter springs,  FL Shoei half tint shield I often ride and return home during and after sunset. Was looking for a shield that worked for daytime but didn't need to be changed for dusk and early evening. This one is that, but I wish it was a little darker at the top. I added a sun block strip across the top and made it better for high sun. It has no tint at bottom, very little in middle, more at top, but not a lot. Other wise, it's clear and distortion free as all Shoei shields. BTW, I use an RF-1000.

Doug Parker,  CO Excellent Visor This is a nice compromise between a fully tinted visor and clear. It obviously doesn't block the harshest sun but is great for all around riding conditions. It's almost like having a polarizing filter on your camera. Highly recommended

brian heyman downey,  CA Shoei Half-Tinted Shield Installing the shield was tricky, as it was the first time I had removed the clear, stock shield and installed a new one. It's probably easier with practice. The instructions, while in several languages including English, were apparently translated directly from Japanese, and didn't make sense. The diagrams helped more than the text. Once installed, the shield fit the opening of my full-face Shoei RF1000 helmet well, with no need to adjust it. The tint on the top half of the shield is dark enough to screen the glare from the sun, and fades nicely into the rest of the shield

Allison Charlotte,  NC Good visor Great product. It's very easy to install on my RF-1000. Here are my pros & cons: Con: If you're looking for a visor that is dark enough to "replace" your existing sunglasses, this is probably not the visor for you. I still have to wear sunglasses on bright days. Pro: I can wear this half-tint visor day or night. I like the convenience of not having to change visors when it gets dark. I am using this as my primary visor.

Jacob Joseph greenwood,  SC great shield I love this shield...it looks awesome, no matter day or night. I almost hate to put the anti-fog shield on it and mess up the overall look.
