Great jacket, but runs small!
I like this jacket - nice construction and features. But just like others here have said, it's a good idea to order two sizes larger than what you ordinarily wear. I usually wear medium in First Gear jackets - I ordered an XL and it fits me well!

Nice Summer Riding Jacket
This jacket is great for hot weather riding. The mesh breathes nicely, allowing good airflow and the padding makes me feel like I have some protection. My only complaint is the sleeve length. The size runs small. I normally wear a size small, but I ordered a medium. I'm glad I did. The bodice fits fine but the sleeves are almost too short.

Nice Jacket
I have worn this jacket in very hot summer weather without the liner and it is comfortable, really mesh, air blows right through. Armor stays in place and feels comfortable. Size ... I bought a large only because I tried one on in a store and knew the true fit prior to finding it online. Normally I am a medium. Zip closed pockets are good and placed well, interior cell phone pocket is water proof even without the liner. I got the teal color, because although it does not have any reflective material on it that was the brightest, most visible. Plus, it’s my favorite color. Could use some reflective material if wearing at night. I haven't worn it with the liner yet but it seems good enough, a bit of a pain to snap in and out. Go ahead and buy it, 3 seasons .... it'll be a great jacket!

What you want to know about the contour Mesh jacket
The jacket is very comfortable in warm weather without the liner. It is adjustable to meet comfort needs. The liner is warm and is attached well within the jacket to remain in place. Overall I give the jacket an A+.

Great Jacket-excellent price!
I saw this jacket in a competitor’s store (remaining nameless for now) for a lot more money, and asked if the store would honor the internet price, and they wouldn't! So I tried it on and then came home and ordered on internet! I love the jacket, it has great features with the liner being able to zip out in warm weather, as I live in SoCal and we have a lot of warm weather. Very comfortable to ride in and great body armor. Lots of pockets which is great. All in all, excellent buy at a great value!

Women's Summer Firstgear Jacket
The jacket is everything advertised, but you do need to order a size larger than normal. I haven't used the liner with the jacket yet, but as a summer jacket you can't do much better for the price. Collar is extremely comfortable.

Great jacket, love the styling
I just learned how to ride about two months ago. So even though it's already 100+ degrees here, I want to wear an armored jacket for protection since most accidents occur because of inexperience. This one has a zip-out liner, so it’s like I'm getting two jackets since it can be used in the spring and fall as well as summer. Also, I'm in my 30's and wanted a plain white jacket (impossible to find!) for visibility without all the graphics and stuff. The jacket is simple but has nice styling and detail with the zippers and collar. I also have a Firstgear leather jacket, which I love. The quality seems very high, and there are many pockets for stashing whatever I need. I'm very happy with the jacket, and with Motorcycle Superstore. They are my #1 place to buy motorcycle gear and I'm always happy with their service.

I had a hard time finding a summer weight jacket that would also fit a big girl like me. This jacket does the trick and provides a relatively cool ride even in the heat of these North Carolina summers. Very good value.

Cute Jacket w/some cons
Very cute style and lots of color option to pick from. The only con is that it does not come with the option to make the waist smaller. So jacket just hangs on you like one for a guy. It a good buy for the price but the no option to make more snug at waist was a deal breaker for me. I like style and comfort.

Good jacket for warmer weather!
I've found this jacket to be great for 65 degrees and warmer. It is fitted for the riding position very comfortably. The construction of the jacket seems very durable and the zippers are tough and easy to zip. Without the windproof liner, there is lots of airflow for those super hot days. I wear a size 12 top and the XL fit well. My only disappointment is that I don't like the way the liner is attached to the jacket-- the sleeve gets caught on my hands when I am removing the jacket and is a little bit quirky to deal with. A good value for the money!

ladies contour mesh jacket
I am a 44dd, I chose the 3x jacket, there wasn’t a big selection in color, unless u wanted to wait for the back order next year. They had a blk jacket so i went ahead & got it, but when I received it, and tried it on it was big, none of the pads fit in the right place. I called and sent it back and ordered the 2x, which fit snug, but felt good and all the pads fit in the right place. all the pockets are a good idea, one for everything you can think of. The return process was fast and easy. The color selection on the jacket is great..I would have liked it to have reflective material.

First Gear women's mesh jacket
Despite the warnings regarding the sizing being way off, I only had to order one size up. I did speak to someone with the company before purchasing the jacket. I usually wear a size 4 and ordered the Med. and it fits fine with room to add a lightweight layer. The padding is in the correct spots. I like the removable liner and Velcro wrist bands, and the yellow is very high visibility. Great price point as well!

Firstgear - Womens Contour Mesh Jacket
I have had my jacket for a couple of months now and I love it! With the wind liner removed the mesh fabric allows a good amount of air to pass through while still providing the protection I was looking for. The jacket looks great on and I am very happy with the overall quality and features. Please note that the fit is very snug so order up a size.

Great Buy
I ordered one size larger than I normally wear, and it fits. It's great on hot summer afternoon commutes home - the mesh allows your skin to breathe so you don't arrive home soaked in sweat. The zip-out liner is going to come in handy for fall/spring. I like that there is a barrier between me and the pavement should something bad happen while I'm on my scooter. I've been wearing it for a few weeks and have not had any problems with the material or workmanship. I would recommend this jacket.

Firstgear Mesh Jacket GREAT
I bought this jacket after going into my local store that sold them and couldn't find my size. I would definitely recommend buying a size larger and then you have plenty of room for other items(vest or whatever) underneath the jacket. I just came back from using the jacket for my trip to Sturgis bike rally and it worked fantastic. Gave me the comfort and feeling that should I need the protection while traveling at highway speeds it would be there to protect me. The Superstore got the item out very quickly and kept me up to date with the entire order process. Thanks a bunch and I'll visit you store again.

Wonderful Jacket
I love this jacket!!! I bought the white jacket and it stays pretty cool even in very warm weather. It has lots of pockets to hold all the things I need since I can't carry my purse. I read the reviews before I bought the jackets so I bought a size larger and it fits wonderful. I will say that I am only 5'3” tall and I wouldn't want the jacket any shorter so it might not be a great choice if you're really tall. Overall, great jacket, wonderful price, really fast, easy service and shipping.

The sales rep that I talked to regarding the sizing of this jacket was right on. The jacket fits and feels great and worked really well on a recent 1800 mile trip through Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee. Worn over an evaporative cooling vest I was comfortable during 90 degree and 85% plus humidity days.

First Gear Mesh Jacket - Woman
Love it! This is my first riding jacket and was hesitant because I am in Sothern California and don't want to over heat. I commute 60 miles a day and the jacket is comfortable and provides piece of mind with the added pads. Womens Contour Mesh Jacket
Wish the jacket had better pockets, though this is difficult on a women's jacket, and I wish that the jacket came with a lighter, waterproof liner as opposed to the more insulating liner that now comes with it. Otherwise, it has a better fit than most of the women's jackets and I bought this because I have the same item in a different color and love it!!!

Aptly Named - Contour
Leather is my top choice but after a few summer days riding in NC heat I decided to purchase a mesh jacket. After researching several brands I went with the Firstgear Contour - initially because of its positive reviews, styling, and affordability. I did feel the need to try one on prior to purchase, based on several suggestions from other reviewers to order a size larger than normal. I'm glad I did. After trying on a similar Contour (wrong color, wrong price) at a local store I really appreciated the snug fit without sacrificing protection. I opted to stay with my normal size regardless of the tight fit in one particular area because I felt the larger size was too loose everywhere else and it displaced the padding, which negates its purpose.

FirstGear Contour Mesh
My Firstgear Contour Mesh arrived today and I must say, I am very impressed with the quality of this jacket for the money. I was concerned about the sizing after having read the reviews. But, if you go by the bust-waist-hip measurements rather than the dress sizing, it seems true to size. I normally wear a size 18 or 20 and I got the 3XL which says it’s for a 24-26 dress size. I've had a hard time finding ladies jackets large enough and have usually had to buy a man's jacket which never fit quite right. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect Fit
I ordered a XL. I'm 5'2", have 38DDD chest and muscular arms. The jacket fits perfect. It's hard trying to find womens gear that looks and fits really well. Firstgear did a very good job. I had to remove the liner due to the Alabama heat.

Love the jacket - wish there was more back protection available
I wish they had better back protection available with this jacket even if you have to purchase it separately. All the other protection is great in an almost perfect jacket otherwise. I bought fieldsheer back protection and had to cut and resew the pocket to fit.

Great jacket for the price...but I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews! The sizing is off by at LEAST one size. Most of my female friends are on the small size so I ordered a medium - it only fit the smallest of my friends - she's about 5'1 and petite. I suspect the large will be sufficient. I gave the "fit" review a 4 simply because I don't see that as a "size" category.

Excellent Jacket
This jacket is a good buy. Nice snug contour fit and has armor in the arms and shoulders. Very comfortable and not hot. You just take the liner out and the wind goes right through it. I wore it the whole weekend of my motorcycle safety class in Savannah, GA in April. I was no hotter than everyone else with long sleeve shirts on. Only thing I wish it had was back armor. It has plenty of pockets and looks good too.

If you need a medium order a XXL. If you need a Small order a XL. If you need an XS order a Large. Once you get past the size issue it’s a top quality jacket at a very reasonable price. It’s as close as you can get to a ladies match to the Men’s Firstgear Mesh Tex 3.0 jacket.

The jacket is very comfortable but you better order a couple sizes bigger than you would normally order, or it isn't going to fit. I like the look and feel of the jacket and the simplicity of removing the liner. But, on the very first day I tore the inside bottom of one of the pockets. I wish they would have been made out of a stronger material. One other thing I noticed is that there is no reflective material on the jacket. I bought white for better visibility, but night riding is not so safe with the jacket. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and the price was great.

At 5'6” and 128 lbs. I know that I need a larger size on top because I am very broad shouldered and I lift weights. I ordered a large after speaking w/a rep. Your reps are very knowledgeable and friendly! Anyway, the large was a bit snug in the shoulders so I returned for an extra large and was mailed another large in error. Soooo, I wanted yellow for visibility and I really can't give a good review as yet. Frustrating as I have to find a FEDX place in rural Maine and it is a 10-12 day turn around. I won't wear it until next year.

Firstgear Women's Contour Mesh Jacket
This is a very nice jacket. I loved the design, with the zip-out liner, and pockets all over the place. As others have said, the sizing is crazy and I had to go up a size from what I usually wear. Also, there's no reflective anything anywhere on the jacket--what were you thinking Firstgear? Anyway, as nice as this jacket is I ended up exchanging it for the Joe Rocket Cleo, which does have reflective piping and fits better.

Great jacket, but sizes are not accurate
The jacket itself is great! Lots of padding and seems very sturdy. However, the sizing is not what it says to be on the sizing chart. I ordered 2 sizes larger so I would have plenty of room for layering clothing underneath, and could barely get the jacket zipped over my chest!! So if you’re NEAR a size, go up 3 or more times. Otherwise, besides the lack of reflectors its a nice jacket for the price.

I bought this jacket and so far I love it. Except I have to agree with everyone so far, it runs very small. I wear a size 18 and had the foresight to order the XXXL. It's a good thing. I was so excited that someone was making something in my size because we all know women are coming bigger than a size 2. Now I wish they would make pants to fit also.

I love the jacket. I had to get a size larger because of the fit. It's full of body armor and a little heavy but that's a good thing. It's cool enough in hot weather without the lining. The adjustable wrists are great! Great mobility!

I received the jacket for Christmas and I was very excited until I put it on. It is way too small for the size indicated. I contacted First Gear and was told that they've been using the same size pattern for 15 years and even a 3XL wouldn't be long enough for a tall person. The XL fit (a little loosely) my sister who is about 5'5" and a size 6. So, ladies if you are tall don't even think of buying this jacket.

Voltage X OTG Goggles
Most OTG's are extra bog to allow for the glasses to fit inside, the problem with that is, it tends to make the location of your helmet up higher then you would normally ware it. These goggles are narrower then the OTG's I have tried, which allow for a more comfortable fit!

I bought the jacket size medium for my wife (she is a size 6) and the jacket was extremely small. I ended up giving it too my 12 year old daughter and she loved it. It does look great, but the fit is very small. I will buy large or extra large for my wife.

I absolutely LOVE my Firstgear riding jacket. I got it in teal. The flexibility and wear is wonderful. The removable liner has come in handing both in the heat and coolness of fall. This is a must have jacket I think. Not only is the jacket wonderful but the Super Store is remarkable. My jacket was here in less than a full 24hrs; I Couldn't believe it. You guys are amazing.

Contour jacket in white
Great fitting jacket at a great price point. I agree with the other reviewers who said that it's much better than the picture. The mesh is a smaller weave than that of the Joe Rocket Cleo I have, but it still as airy, and I was able to wear a Sahara vest under it on super hot days. Yay, the wrist tabs actually allow for me to wear gloves! The only thing missing is reflectivity - there's absolutely none, not even a little piping. Lightweight and comfortable for the amount of amour it contains. On a HOT day, you can still wear it with the lining out and have great ventilation - wear it on a cool day with the lining in and it keeps the wind off! Unbelievable jacket for the money. I highly recommend it.

Bought this for the wife so she would have protection on the back of my bike. It fit perfectly, and is so breathable; she actually enjoyed her first ride with it so much I can barely keep her off the back. The picture doesn't do this justice. You will be well protected with the amount of armor on this.
