Firstgear - Women's Monarch Jacket
I really like this jacket. With the lining in, I wore it on a ride in the Oakland hills on a cold foggy day and was quite comfortable. I ride across the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge in the fog and keep warm in just a long sleeve t-shirt under the jacket. The fit is nice. It doesn't rise up in the back when I ride. Has lots of secure pockets. Get one. You will not be sorry.

Too big
I had sizing issues with this jacket, it just ran really big, and I'm an average sized girl. I was hoping it would fit and could then double as a ski jacket but no such luck. It did feel super warm though. There are also a lot of hardware at the neck area, zippers and snaps and such, and they all pressed against by through when fully zipped up--very uncomfortable.

Just OK
I ordered many jackets to find the right one and thought this was it. I wore this one on an 8 day trip. It was OK but - I should have gotten a size larger. We rode in 30 - 50 degree weather and the wind resisting liner was OK but not phenomenal like the Firstgear pants. I liked the styling - but the velcro neck closure was annoying as it stuck to everything.

Monarch Jacket
I'm very impressed with this jacket compared to other firstgear products which I also have and love. This jacket is the best made, highest quality of my now 4 firstgear jackets. The liner is great to wear alone (not on the bike) but with jeans it looks nice. The liner is windproof and warm. The zippers are often the weak points on jackets, this has the most heavy duty zipper I've seen and the pulls are very easy to use with gloves on. The styling is very nice as well, true to size and flattering design. Would highly recommend.
