Good Fit for some
Modular Helmets are a pain, they fit quite differently. Put on up and feel fine, lock down and are a pain. This is about the only modular I found that fit. I did and still do wear a scorpion exo-700 and this was the closest modular fit. I even waited for the scorpion exo-900 to come out and it fit like the exo-1000, it sucked for me. Too tight on the head and temples and actually a few magazines agreed with that fit on the 1000. The fit is good, however very breezy, wind from underneath, in fact I wear goggle glasses otherwise too hard on the eyes. Only had two months -- we shall see- P.S. First time I bought from motorcycle superstore, usually use J&P or Dennis Kirk -- the gal I talked to was awesome and new her stuff. And UNBELIEVABLY quick delivery. Ride Safe

Vega-Summit II solid helmet
I had originally ordered the Pearl Yellow but when it came it was a mustard yellow and clashed with my jacket so I returned it and got the White. I love it, sizing was exactly right on. I love the lower part of the helmet where you can open it up; this is good for when you want to have a drink without taking the helmet off or for refueling for that same reason. Great helmet, I recommend it highly. Thanks. Marylene

Just What I Was Looking For
I needed a helmet for occasional highway riding that would also accommodate a Blue Tooth headset for bike to bike communication. The Summit II fits very well - plenty of room for the face and a microphone - but is tight on the cheeks. I assume this will ease after a break-in period. The vents don't seem to do much, but I've yet to wear a helmet that really cools down because of the vents. It's obviously heavier than my 3/4 helmet but the flip-up latch works well and riding with the visor open one notch provides cooling air without blasting into my eyes. The ear pockets are ample for a headset or ear buds if you're so inclined. There was no updraft or air in my helmet on the highway. The noise level is tolerable and didn't bother me. The visor is crystal clear with no distortion at all. All in all, for the price this is a very good helmet. On a final note, this helmet arrived in record time and in perfect condition.

Love the flip up, but the fit is a little off
love that this flips up if I want to talk to someone at a stoplight and whatnot, but it smushes my face like a chipmunk. I read that cheek pads should soften up over time, but it's been about 200 miles and its still smushing me. I will look into replacement cheek pads, because I still really like the helmet.

not twice
I wouldn't make this mistake twice. I was lulled into the price benefit- I admit it. The problem is I'm cheap. But comfort, apparently, is not. It's an alright helmet for the casual rider. I ride 60-100 miles a day round trip commuting. Clocking 15k annual. It's just too noisy. The only way for me to tolerate it is to jam ear buds into my ears and play the mp3 player. I don't have $400 for the "top" brands. But I guess that $300 is the price to pay for something that doesn't suck the fun out of a day trip to Deals Gap. Vemar may be the next lid. Still waiting on some kind of review.

Could have been good.
The latching mechanism is too poorly made. It failed in less than a year of almost daily riding. It now easily pops open light pressure. You can tell by looking at the latches that they are just worn out. A real shame to because other than the latch it was a good helmet.

Vega Summit -II Flip up helmet
The helmet has a nice fit as well as finish. It is without a doubt the biggest bang for the dollar. Comfortable, the flip up is nice for conversation at red lights gas stops etc... Also for a breather. As for fog you can clean the visor with shaving cream that is a cheap effective fog preventer.

Good Value
For the price I don't think this helmet can be beat. It's noisy, but so are all the other flip fronts I've tried. I'm happy with it.

Summit II
I'm a long distance rider; it took about 30 hours or riding to break in. Well worth it. It's light, quiet, easy to flip up and down one handed. The comfort pad could be softer. The ear cavity is shallow, must have the right headsets (thinner models available). I would recommend this helmet for anyone. Fit is more important than price.
