josh mason city,  IA Synergy Vest w/ collar Vest fits great, works great and is plenty warm for me on the Iowa Minnesota border. My only issue is the power cord is way too short, like it barely comes out of the lining enough to get a connector plugged into it. This is ridiculous and should never have been allowed to leave the factory. I had to add the v splitter as an extension and it is still shorter than most other electric vests. From what I have found this is hit or miss from Tourmaster. Some have long cords some have very short cords.

Terry Gaithersburg,  MD Great value in heated clothing Tourmaster has upped the ante by supplying an extremely warm vest with the wiring harness and controller. The install is very simple. I've ridden in 27 degree weather and didn't notice the cold - fingers and toes were warm. Now I can really ride year round. A couple of minor design gripes - the LEDs need to be brighter and the area around where the controller cord comes out of the vest needs to be reinforced as the grommet pulls through the fabric.

Doug Pittsburgh,  PA Must have for cold weather Just bought this due to starting a long trip. First day was sub 40 degrees and the vest was great for a 500 mile day. Different settings work well and I like the collar, but some people may find the collar a little uncomfortable. The only problem I had was that the controller got caught on the bike as I was dismounting. It ripped the retainer and fabric away from the vest leaving exposed wires. My fault but I wish it wouldn't have ripped so easily. I "tailored" it with glue and it seems to be repaired. Hookup was easy and it looks like accessories just string together easily too. Heat controller is an option in some brands but it's included here. You'll love this vest - must have for cold weather riding.

TD Graham Syracuse,  IN Better than I expected..... Not my first piece of TM kit, but it's the bollocks. Three positions: hot, bake and broil... Never tried the hottest one, since the middle setting was more than enough in 40F under a ragged out JR jacket, on a Ducati Multi. You can still feel the carbon heating elements, but they do disperse heat better than the old style elements. I ordered a size smaller that I normally would, and thought it would be a perfect fit on an "average" build, it's a little loose at the bottom on my "athletic" build. In addition, the neck is not sized proportional to the vest, and is way too big, so I leave the top 6" unzipped and overlap the sides... small nits to pick on an overall good value. Love the RCA-style plugs on the harness, and the garter strap for the temp control works well, once you get used to it.

S. Robert Southwick,  MA Tour Master - Synergy Heated Vest w/ Collar Haven’t had many chances to use this vest yet, but I look forward to it. For the few times that I have its been great, love the temperature control feature, the vest I had previous to this one didn’t have that, and can I just tell you how great having a heated collar is. I looked around for a while to replace my old vest and this one is well worth the money.

Janet Sanders Idaho Falls,  ID Thank You I Am Finally Warm I don't like being cold, so when the weather wasn't great I didn't like to go on the bike. Now with my heated vest I love to go anytime. It heats up so fast and stays very warm. I only wish it came in a smaller size. I wear a small woman’s and got an X-small it could be a XX-small and would fit tighter. I loved mine so much my husband and daughter-in-law got one too. Thank you again I am telling everybody to get one. Janet

Steven Dunn South Lyon,  MI Tour Master Synergy Vest Liner As I have just purchased this vest recently and worn it only 2 or three times, I do not feel qualified to comment on durability. I will say however that I like it very much. It works very well and seems to be an excellent value for the dollar. I have several Tour master products and have yet to be disappointed with any of them.

Dan Eagle,  CO Works Great My mixed review is only because I haven't had the vest long enough to judge the Durability. The fit score was low only because vest runs a little large. I ordered a medium and a small would probably be a better fit under my jacket. Other then the fit, it works great. My commute is 30 mile on 75mph interstate road with normal starting temps at about 40 degrees, in the summer. I usually turn it on at medium but there are times that I run it on high. I'm really comfortable and it makes the ride fun again. Great value and great addition to my riding gear!

James Cothern Davis,  CA A Great Vest on a Trip to Alaska I recently completed a 6,800 mile trip to Alaska and traveled in daytime temperatures in the mid 30's and 40's. The vest was a life saver, keeping my core warm. I had absolutely no problems with the cold. The only problem with the vest is that the control cord is poorly attached to the vest and the grommet that holds the cord inside the vest pulled through. I will have to do a field fix to more securely fast the control cord to the vest in order to keep it from tearing loose from the inside.

David Fluckiger Tolland,  CT Good Value The vest does what is advertised very well. It keeps you warm. The different settings are awesome in that as the temperature changes the different settings match the needed warmth. The only negative feedback that I have is the large control that is slightly bulky and gets in the way off of the bike. Strapped to your thigh though it is very accessible to change settings on the fly.

Mike Harris Yadkinville,  NC Tourmaster Synergy Vest with collar I bought the Tourmaster Heated Vest with collar right b4 a 500 mile trip, with temps in the mid 20's the morning I left. The vest does an EXCELLENT job. It gets very hot, very fast, and I have found that after about 2 minutes on high, i HAVE to turn it down to med or low. The salesperson at M/S didn't think it would be compatible with my Gerbings heated insoles, but it IS. With the Gerbings plugged into the Tourmaster vest, the Tourmaster heat controller works perfectly to regulate the vest and insoles BOTH. I am very pleased with this product, and shipping was super fast!

John Walling Willis,  TX Tourmaster heated vest I think it is awesome. The 3 position switch works good. I have used all 3 levels of heat in various temperatures and been warm. Of course where we live in Texas, the coldest we ride in is occasionally the mid 30's. It also does a good job of keeping me warm in the off position when the heat feature is not really needed, as it fits nice and snug. (The company recommends a snug fit) I used mine for a while and then bought one for my wife. She got the heated gloves when I got the vest. We raved about what we each had so much that we now have both for each of us. We no longer have to wear lots of layers when it is cold. For both of us though, we could use a tighter collar than what it has. This is a very minor gripe though as we really like the vest.

Bob Abernathy,  TX Tour Master Heated Vest liner Good fit and excellent heating ability. The vest liner is thin enough to minimize bulk and fit nicely under a jacket. I may never need to turn it to the highest level because low and medium add sufficient heat for most conditions.

Andrew Tulsa,  OK Cozy Warm I love my vest. I have been using my bike as my main source of transport lately....and with cool air lately, it is a must. I have been riding in 30 degree and below temps and feel warm. Now, if only I had the gloves. My only complaint is that there is a design flaw in the design in the connector. The positive loop on the plug, is on the outside, and shorts out on bare body frames. I’m going to add a switch and mount on the bike, so I don’t have to worry about the shorting anymore.

Chuck Auck Colorado Springs,  CO Synergy Electric Vest I purchased this vest just before Christmas (Santa to myself) and have had it out several times. The sizes run big. I normally would take a large in a vest, but the medium fits fine. I gave fit a 4, but that's only because the collar is a loose fit ... a problem I have in all my shirts anyway. On my rides, the temperatures have ranged from the 30's to the low 50's, with wind chill factor keeping things in the 30's and 40's. This vest works GREAT. I have been wearing my heavy leather jacket, a long sleeve tee-shirt, and my vest. It has kept me VERY comfortable. It's a strange sensation to feel cold on your legs or arms, a chill seeming to start, but dying right away. I would strongly recommend this vest to everyone who wants to ride when the weather gets chilly/cold, and avoid bundling up like the Michelin man (and eventually getting cold anyway).

MIchael Kerrville,  TX Incredibel value for money Even though I live in South Texas we do get our share of 35-50 degree weather. This vest is the single best piece of motorcycle equipment I have purchased in 15 years of riding. I only once had it higher than medium to maintain comfort, and that morning it was 26. Low works fine for 45-55. Well made and great value like all my Tourmaster gear.

Tom Wilmington,  DE Tour Master - Synergy Heated Vest Liner Vest arrived with all parts. Installation was easy, however a lighter-plug connection would be nice. Operation is straightforward and simple. Functions include a high, medium, and low heat which all work well. Tests were done at 55, 45, and 35 degrees. Vest makes riding at all these temperatures quite comfortable behind a fairing. In all, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Ray Huntsville,  AL Awesome product, power cord should be longer The vest heats up fast, puts out a lot of heat, and even keeps your neck warm. I have to run it on low mostly because it pumps out so much heat. For best results I wear a wicking T-shirt under it, the vest on top, then a light fleece on top of that, then my jacket. Even with the jacket unzipped it throws a good bit of heat. The power cord that connects from the vest to the battery cable is up under the hem of the vest, so it can be fun to try and find it with gloves on. That is really my only gripe, and it is a small one.

Aaron South Elgin,  IL Tour Master Heated Vest Liner w/ Collar This vest is great. It took me about 5 minutes to install the included battery connection. I plugged the vest in and took it out about a week before Thanksgiving. It was about 50 degrees on the ride West. I was pushing 70mph and was warm. On the way back the temperature had dropped to about 40 degrees and I still had no problems riding. Low setting worked well on speeds under 35mph. Medium was great. I was pushing 75 - 80 mph and felt great. I had it on high for a bit to test it out, but it started to become uncomfortably hot if I was under 45 mph. If you're on the fence between the vest and the full jacket, I'd recommend the jacket as having the heated elements around my arms as well would be just great.

Cliff Hotchkiss Naugatuck,  CT Synergy Vest, I Like it. Have used the vest 3 times in temperatures from the high 30's to mid 40's.It worked as advertised, so far I am totally satisfied and I have not used the high setting yet. I have been ridding for about 30 years and for about the last 10 have had little interest in going out when temp dipped below 50.Now if it's above freezing I can go out without it being a test of endurance. I am considering the pants liner next.

Jon Hamilton,  VA Stop hesitating...it's worth it My wife and I are both using this vest. Today it was a sunny 29 degree day. Every time we stopped to talk she would say “Isn't this vest great?” Yeah, it was great. Even at 29 degrees I needed no more than the mid setting to stay toasty warm. My wife had been set on low for much of the ride and was happy. Heat is well distributed throughout the vest. However only the back of the vest is in constant contact with my body. My front is cooler than my back. This is because the vest hangs slightly away from my chest while riding. My front is not cold so it's not a problem. Overall this vest is outstanding and earns a solid A+

john reid Levelland,  TX Tour Master - Synergy Heated Vest Liner with Collar Vest works good. Seems to be sized small as I had to go up one size to get one that I could wear. Couldn't find much info about hooking it up to the battery or what kind of connector(s) it came with. I wish it came with an SAE to coax connector so it could be hooked up to the battery tender cable already on the bike, but one is available from a different brand that works. Stephen Meiners Commerce Township,  MI Tourmaster Synergy Heated Vest I've only had a chance to use this twice since I've received it, but it works very well. The 2 times the outside temperatures were in the high 30's low 40's. I could only use the first setting and still had to turn it off every so often. The vest heated evenly and kept me comfortable. I use Moto GP lined pants with a Technic lined jacket and winter gloves and waterproof boots to help keep me warm in the not heated portions. Over all a good investment for colder climates. Would also work well for snowmobiling.

Steve Reynolds Camden,  SC Synergy Heated Vest Liner with Collar This thing really puts out the heat! The low setting is all I have ever used. Left Cashiers NC yesterday morning at 8:00AM, it was 30 degrees, and I was absolutely comfortable. Negative: Wish it was a little longer as it rides up in the sport bike crouch (I am 6'2"). The control unit's clip immediately broke off, so that feature could be better, and the plug lead could be about 6 inches longer. But it is a very good product at a great price.

Bill North Bend,  WA Nice vest, great value. I have used this vest twice going over the mountain passes, very even heat distribution. This allowed me to reduce my bulk (less layers) and provided a comfortable ride by giving better control of the heat as the temperature dropped. The three levels of control offer more comfort than just an on/off switch and the buttons are easier to operate with gloves than a dial type device.

I normally won't ride until the temperaruee is 45 degrees or better. This year, with the Synergy Vest, I rode when it was in the low 30's high 20's. I rode with the vest's thermostat on it's lowest setting. I was also able to shed the extra layers on my legs because the vest kep my torso toasty. For the price, it is one of the best values around and with the higher quality of Tourmataser products, you can't go wrong. Fit and finish is excellent.

Dave Voiles Bend,  OR Super Vest, Super deal I bought this vest for my wife but I'm going to end up buying one for myself as well. This vest was well thought out. The stretchable side panels make it fit close to your body at all times. The control unit, (that you don't have to buy separately to upgrade) is easy to use. I did have to send the first one back because one pocket wasn't completely sewn together on the inside. The second one was fine. I can't say anything about the longevity of the electronics yet but the connectors and cords seem to be well made. Excellent value for the money. My wife and I recently went on a 400+ mile ride, much of it in the rain and cold. She was toasty warm and enjoyed the ease of use of the push button control.

James Suffolk,  NY Tour Master-Synergy Heated Vest Liner Item is excellent; wore it in 30 degree weather and it kept me warm during an hour trip (if not for my hands and feet getting cold I could have ridden all day). In milder weather (40s) the lowest setting keeps you very warm. Easy to hook up, fits well (it's a medium- I'm 6'3, 200 lbs). Am very satisfied with this purchase..

Dave Victorville,  CA Great Garment! I have only used the vest one time so far but it was a wonderful thing to be suddenly warm and comfortable on an otherwise cool to cold Spring evening ride.

Dave McCormack Victor,  MT Tourmaster Electric Vest For years I had been looking for a heated vest that was affordable, easy to plug in, had everything I needed all in one package. Tourmaster Synergy Electrics have hit a home run. It is well made, can fit you even if your weight (size) fluctuates (has elastic side panels that allow for expansion), and comes with an easy to use thermostat. I rode in 34 degree weather with just a t-shirt and wool shirt and had to keep the thermostat at the lowest setting. For the money, this is a great way to extend the riding season, especially here in Montana. The only gripe is the silly leg strap to hold the thermostat. I lost it the first time I stood up.

Sid Braley West Brome,  QC Tour Master Synergy Heated Vest Liner It heats very well. I am well satisfied. If any changes were to be made in future, I would like to have the choice of mounting the controller on the handlebars, in the line of sight, with a single cable going to the vest. I'm using it with a 2004 Yamaha XT225 and this bike has sufficient output for the vest. I can't speak for the durability, but it appears well-made.

undo UDONTKNOW,  WA the review you wanted Straight up this is a great jacket. I thought I wouldn't need the arms and I was probably right. But, sometimes my arms do get cold. My chest is hot though. It is a great buy for the money. Seconds to install. Ok minutes, but not long.

Alex Chicago,  IL No Regrets I just got back from the first test ride wearing the vest. Even at 35 degree and strong winds I felt like I was wrapped in a blanket that was just pulled out of the dryer. I really wasn't expecting it to be that good...but it is! I highly recommend it to anyone in colder climates wishing to extend their riding season.

Joe Rich Henderson,  NV Tour master - Synergy Heated vest liner with collar Electrical connection was easy with the simple tool kit on the bike. It performed better than I had even hoped for. I was toasty warm down into the low thirty degree temps, and was wearing a long sleeve t-shirt, the vest liner and my regular leather jacket. Long handle bottoms, jeans and chaps and I was fine. The controller seemed a bit bulky, and while the LED's were a little hard to see in the daylight, they were easy to read at night, and easy to change the heat settings. The connection to the vest liner was easy enough to make with gloves on and the leg strap kept the controller handy. The liner was very comfortable to wear under my jacket without the extra bulk in the. I'm thinking gloves might be my next addition in the heated accessory lineup.

Stan Carter Lexington,  SC Great Vest I am very pleased with the vest, so much so I ordered a second one immediately after testing the first one. At 32 degrees, I only needed the low setting to stay comfortable. It is the best value I have seen in heated clothing. I have not had it long enough to vouch for the durability, so my rating there is a guess based on the look & feel of the unit. It appears plenty tough. Time will tell.

Robin Gregg Tehachapi,  CA IF ONLY I KNEW. Normally I am a fair weather rider. My husband wanted me to ride with him more so he bought me the Tour Master Heated Vest Liner for Christmas. Gotta tell ya, it was the best thing he has ever bought me. Usually before we are 2 blocks from home I can feel it heating up. The first time I wore it I found my self thinking "it would be great to have a pair of pants like this." I love it. The fit is great and it’s so easy to control.

Frank greensboro,  NC Worth every penny and then some Best thing for cold weather riding since butter for hot bread..... seriously, this vest pumps out the heat... evenly... sweetly... there is no way you can use the highest setting unless it is below 30F and you are doing 70mph. It comes with a nice controller and wiring harness like good heated clothing should. What more could a person ask for?????? Well, a set of the matching tourmaster heated chaps of course, and mine are already on order :-) Don’t let cold weather give you PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome), get the synergy... be warm, happy and most importantly ...riding!!
