I couldn't get the boots on past my toes because they were sewed up past the ankles, my 5 year old daughter couldn't even get her foot in. So I cut the tongue figuring that they would fit since I usually wear a 3 1/2 - 4 girls, and then they were still really tight.

Boots Don't Fit
The boots were so small, and the instep so tight, my daughter could not get them on. She is a size 4, we purchased a size 5 and they did not fit.

The price was right but the size was way too small....
Couldn't get them on. For $10/pair it was worth a shot. Bought these for the wife since they were available in her size (5). The boots looked impressively built and with nice materials and workmanship but were considerably smaller internally than all of her other size 5 shoes, and there are many. Fortunately, our niece can wear them until she grows out. She's 7.

Excellent Deal
Being a beginning rider, I wanted to find an excellent product but didn't want to spend a fortune on it! And these boots were exactly that, they do fit a size, almost a size and 1/2 smaller so order a size up. They are extremely durable and once broken in, very comfortable. Highly recommended!

These boots were the deal of the year! I bought them for my 12 year old daughter and knew that she wouldn't be thrilled about the look (based on the picture). I got the black boots and they are very nice..the look in the picture does not do the boots justice. I am glad that I read the other reviews that said to get a size bigger, as they are definitely a small fit. In fact, they need to be completely unlaced to get them on. The leather is very stiff (which is why they are such a great deal for the ankle support alone!) but we should have them broken in within a few rides - definitely not a walking boot until they are broken in. Again, a great deal on a great boot.

Although the riding season has not arrived in Northern Michigan the boots feel good walking around the house. I'm hoping they will become even more comfortable after "break-in". A very well made boot of quality materials at an excellent price.
