Warning light touches will Scratch Product
Well, where to begin... Bought this new shield as the anti-fog film was comming off of my clear one. Looked great and after 2 rides I had it sitting on the seat of my car and it brushed something lightly and scratched the new shield to pieces. Buyer beware,... when you remove your helmet, place into rigid clear container to avoid scratches!

Blue Iridium lens
I didn’t know what iridium meant but ordered it anyway. Our daughter has the Black/Blue Bell Apex helmet. This lens fit great and looks great. I give it 5 stars.

Shield
Bell quality, what else needs to be said. The stock and replacement are as good as any on the market, lot less expensive than most. I like the color option for the gold seems to brighten the view on overcast days.

Apex shield
Purchased shield in polarized blue for sunny days, sunglasses don't work under/in the Bell Apex I own. I was concerned because of a review that stated some noise and fit issues, but have been completely satisfied with both. I have used it on bright sunny days, cloudy and overcast days, and dark rainy rides without any problems. It is perfect for any daylight conditions and was a good investment. I gave it a four on cost benefit more because I am cheap and always want to save a few bucks. MSS is a great and cost effective way to get gear and I am pleased to recommend it to friends who ride and want a good deal.

Great shield
I went with the dark smoke and it is perfect for the sunny days here in SoCal -- no need for sunglasses anymore. It is very clear and scratch resistant. I have used it in the cold and in the rain with no fogging -- could not be happier.

Bell Replacement Shield
The shield is durable and it was nice to have a clear view again. It doesn’t close as tight as the original did but is acceptable. I'll buy another because I love the Bell Apex helmet. It just fits.

Great shield
Got the Blue Iridium Shield and couldn't be happier. It's not clear like it appears in the picture, but instead it's tinted and mirrored so people can't see into your helmet. You can see out of it fine though - it's shaded enough to make the sun tolerable, but not as dark as I would expect a dark smoke shield to be.

Face Sheild replacement for Bell Apex Helmet
What can you say about a helmet face shield? The shipping was prompt and the shied went right on with no problem. The only bummer was that I bought the helmet at such a low cost from the Motorcycle Superstore but then I dropped it right on the shield the first day. The cost of the shield was Approx 1/3 the cost of the helmet. So much for saving. If there is anything to learn...do not drop your HELMET!!!

It's a great visor, the label says not to wear at night, but i do all the time and it's fine. It does make it seem a bit darker but the benefit of not being blinded by car lights easily makes up for it.

Just okay Visor.
I got this visor hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with fog in my line of sight again, I was also hoping to reduce sun glare too...This visor really didn't do it for me. The fog from my breath was reduced, but is still appears. Also, it didn't do anything to help reduce glare and is a pain to clean, keep getting streaks though I never touch it with my bare hands and clean it properly.

Blue Iridium Shield
Great looking shield. Have worn it from 45 degrees and up. No fog problem with this one. Looks great on my helmet and adds the mystery look. Not as dark to look out of as it seems when looking in. I would use the clear one for night though.

Dark Smoke shield for Bell Apex/Sprint
After being told in March by Bell Helmets that their Dark Smoke shield was out of stock and back-ordered until July (!), I searched the web and found Motorcycle Superstore, who did have them in stock. A few days later the shield arrived, securely packaged and it took only a moment to affix to my Bell Sprint helmet. Mounting instructions were clearly printed on the thick protective vinyl cover to the shield, which was easily removed once the shield was in place, preventing fingerprints during installation. (It may also be reused to protect the shield when the helmet is not in use). I bought a Bell Helmet because of their reputation for quality and ease of shield replacement and that is exactly what I got. This is a high-quality scratch-resistant and optically clear shield. I am very happy with both Bell products and Motorcycle Superstore.

We got the smoke one and it is good dealing with the TX sunshine. Only down side is it is tricky getting on and off. Feels like you are about to break the thing. This is our first helmets so don't have much to base an opinion on but I THOUGHT it would be easier to get on and off.

A shield coated well
Got this for my new Bell Sprint, it's got a really good thick mirror finish that seems to be on there to stay. I had one for another helmet and after several correct washings, it had started to rub off, but this one seems to be quite a bit better. Get one now, & buy a jacket also to save on shipping.

Poor quality coating
Within the first few days of using the blue shield it started to lose color in spots and has defects on the exterior. I have a blue shield that fits my Nolan and it is beautiful and the finish is great. The one for the Apex, very poor quality finish.

Great Helmet
This is a great helmet. I have never owned one that has a screen over the air vents, nice touch. It is a little noisy but which one isn't? It is light weight and comfortable. The strap is a little too close to the neck but everything else is super.

Smoke shield for Bell Apex helmet
I like the shield a lot. Here in AZ where there is a lot of sun this will come in handy. My only complaint is I thought it was a little high priced ($35) for just a shield. Removing the clear one and putting this on was not the easiest thing in the world, but not terribly difficult.

Smokey works
I ordered the shield because it was light shading (light smoke). I live in Piedmont Area of Virginia meaning we have a lot of mountains. Riding at dusk is tricky because I go in and out of sun/shade. The shield performs extremely well both in blocking the sun but also not hampering my vision in spots where shadows/night fall are great. The shield is fabulous at high speeds.

Little Expensive But It Works
Bought the Bell Apex helmet about a month ago and bought a tinted shield to accompany it. Had read in one of the reviews that the tinted shield was not optically as free from distortion as the clear. I have not found that to be the case. Both shields have much better optics that the flatter profile shields I have had in the past ( the Apex shield has a convex profile that is more in keeping with the over-all profile of the helmet), and I have found very little, if any, visual distortion. One reviewer noted a rattle in the right side of the shield, but I suspect that it was not properly attached. The one time I have found significant and unexpected noise in the helmet, the shield was not installed correctly. Properly re-attaching the shield on the offending side corrected the problem. I must say that the one glitch is the level of difficulty in attaching the shield to the helmet. It is a royal pain-in-the-ass! Much more so than on other helmets I have owned. However, once it is on, it functions far better than others I have owned, and is very firmly engaged. And, at thirty-five bucks a throw, it is pricey. Can't say anything about durability, as I haven't had it long enough to evaluate that. Would I buy it again? I like the helmet, so I suppose I'd have to. I would buy the Apex helmet again...especially at the close-out price.

Bell - Smoke Shield for Bell Apex Helmet
I was looking for something to block out the Arizona sunshine so I would not have to wear sunglasses. The smoke shield certainly did this. My only disappointment is the vision clarity through the shield. It seems to be hazy and no matter how I try cleaning it, inside and out, it stays hazy. This does not stop me from using it, just a bit disappointing.
