Craig Spring Hill,  FL Looking through a fog I've owned several different brand helmets over the years and with each one I always purchase the Dark smoke shield. This Vega Dark smoke is similar in tint to most but when the sunlight hits the shield its like your looking through a smoky fog. Very disappointing. Aside from that it works fine. No unusual optical distortions. The Vega Shield mount system is not as easy and most helmets but I suppose that’s a helmet issue not a shield issue.

Don Las Vegas,  NV Just what was promised The shield works great. The smoke colored shield is dark but not hard to see out of. No one can see in so you can stare at the cute passenger in the car next to you at the stoplight without getting busted!!! It does the job well and fits great.

Becky Tucson,  AZ Imperfect Design They should have made these easier to change out. It does not click easily in place. The clear is okay because you can see through it to make sure everything is lined up, but when I want to put this one on, it's a bit of a struggle. It does a great job of keeping out the hot AZ sun once it's in place though.

Noah Anderson,  SC Now that's better! I bought the helmet with a clear visor, which was horrible in the morning and evening rides before and after work. It was magnifying the sun's rays into my eyes even thru my sunglasses. I then got the light-smoke visor, which with my sunglasses helped, but still wasn't what I was looking for. Then I bought the dark-smoke with the mirror finish visor, and it is GREAT! I highly recommend this one before you waste your money on ANYTHING else, and ANYWHERE else. But, you cannot wear this thing at night! So, if you already have a clear visor and you have side bags, take it with you, you will need it if you get caught out after dark!! You'll love this thing, because I know I do!
