It's a sheild
Fits good and its clean with no scratches. Pins are in the right place for the pinlock, good and secure. Hard to put the pinlock in w/o a little smudge on the shield. Hard to clean, you need to separate pinlock from the shield and the pinlock is a little temperamental. Read my review on the pinlock.

Outstanding
Wish I would have found this a year ago. I do mapping all over the northern tier of PA and have hooked up over 1000 miles of off pavement street legal roads for the dirt rider who wants less than 5% pavement...I get out very early and go to very late and in the morning the dew temperature can produce fog on the shield of my Shoei Multi-Tech that is a real pain and this has STOPPED IT, 100% OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

Performs extremely well
Once I understood how the shields interchanged on a Shoei helmet, I had no problems. It has a tight seal. The only 2 complaints I have are that the inserts take a bit of work to change out and the inserts do not fill the shield completely. There is a gap between the insert and the helmet. You do get used to the gap rather quickly though.

Shoei Clear Shield with Pinlock Pins
I ordered the Pinlock shield with the Dark Smoke anti fog insert for the X11 helmet that I upgraded to. I had a RF1000 helmet from Shoei previously with the pinlock anti fog and was completely satisfied with it, so it was only logical that I add that feature to the X11. I haven't been able to ride too much yet this season because of lousy weather, but I'm sure it will be great. It is one product that actually does what it promises, Shoei and pinlock is a combination that can't be beat!

Two little plastic pins make all the difference!
On it's own, this is just another good quality shield from Shoei, but paired with a PinLock insert, it is simply amazing. I wanted a fog free face shield solution, and this is it. It works, brilliantly! No fog, period. Couldn't be better.

This shield hasn't had any fog on it since I started wearing it. The only thing that fogs is my sunglasses that I wear with it sometimes. Highly recommend it!!

A great shield that needs to fit more tightly
This shield is mounted on my Shoei Multitec helmet. Its greatest strength is clarity. Periodic cleaning is all that is required to keep visibility first-rate. Its greatest weakness is that it allows air leaks. Shoei's instructions, showing the unintelligible translation from Japanese that we now enjoy with so many Chinese products, are no help. When the anti-fog lens is attached it can be hard to mount, and removing the lens requires dismounting the shield. Also, beware of dropping the helmet. Because of its shape, it will scratch the shield every time. I have needed to replace it every year, and it's pricey. On the plus side, Shoei makes a range of tints that can be useful if you'd rather change shields than sunglass lenses.

Awesome!
While you could always use the template and make your own, it is nice to let someone else do it for you. Especially if the thought of drilling holes in a visor makes you nervous. I have bought two of these now (one for me and one for my wife), and I have only had to adjust the pins on one before installing the insert. The inserts swap easily and do exactly what they are supposed to do. I simply can't fog my visor, and in the northwest that is saying a lot. Great buy

No more foging
If you have been looking for a way to stop fogging on your Shoei, here you go. Use with the lens (sold separately) and no more fog. I have tried every anti fog solution I could find and most work just so-so. This works.

Must Have
When the temperature drops below 50 degrees, this is a must have item. The pin lock system works really well. I tried the Fog City fog shield but it distorted the shape of my shield. I wouldn't think twice about getting this.
