Fit-excellent, Finish-- mine could be better, Durability-- we shall see, I have only had them for a couple months. Cost Benefit--well we all want everything to cost less but I believe that I got my money’s worth. On a sunny day tinted is undoubtedly better than clear especially on a hot day. So far the only fault that I have had with the three shields (blue, mirror and no fog grey) I bought from MotorcycleSuperStore.com, is that the mirror shield had five or so spots on it where the finish did not stick, I’m sure that MotorcycleSuperStore.com would replace it, but I didn’t want to go through the hassle and I just don’t want to ride without it. MotorcycleSuperStore.com is the best website. Huge selection, good prices and excellent service.

The original chrome shield I purchased is still in good condition, but I decided to replace it due to a couple scratches in my peripheral vision. I had the shield over a year and a half, and 15 thousand miles and the finish held up great, no fogging and many fewer scratches than other shields on other helmets.

Dark smoke shield for Icon Mainframe helmets
I purchased this shield recently and so far am very happy with it, with a little practice, the shield can be changed very quickly. The replacement shield is clear, does a great job of cutting the glare, and seals well when in the closed position.

Icon-smoke no-fog shield

This is my second time purchasing a mirror shield and the first time with the bling shield. I recommend these to anyone that rides in the daytime. Both shields are about the same tint and offer the right type of tint for those bright sunny days. These are much better than trying to fit my glasses inside my helmet.

This is a great shield. It is dark to compensate for glasses but still provides a great view with no reflection. It is a snug fit to change but still but still easy and fast enough to do. I also got caught at night out with this visor and in the city or at least with street lights it was clear enough to have a safe vision of what was going on around me. I did ride through a less lighted area and did put up the visor due to lack of light but would be comfortable riding at night with the visor. Overall for the cost and ease of use, I like the shield very much..

I Love It!
This shield fit perfectly on my green Icon Mainframe helmet and it looks really good. Great way to ride in the sun. At night, it's like wearing sun glasses and things get a little dark but everything is still visible. The look is one of a kind though. Get it!

Great Look-Clear Vision
I bought the shield for my girlfriend. I had just purchased a helmet for her and wanted to get a tinted shield. The shield fits great and takes about 5-10 seconds to switch out. The anti-fog is a nice touch as well.

Dark Smoke Visor
I should have bought this when I bought the helmet. Easily replaces sunglasses. It's pretty much the same visor that comes with the helmet but smoked.
You will notice visor fog more easily, but you can just flip it up a notch and it goes away.
I would have liked a more scratch resistant plastic but it's probably the same stuff that comes with the helmet originally...replacement visors just cost a lot for what they are.

I’ve been through the gambit of shields and this is tops. No need to change when the sun drops. I don’t have the best vision at night and was surprised when first using this in the dark. Plenty of tint is provided when the sun is in your face. It did not match up perfectly with the gasket on my helmet but not a big deal, only a few millimeters.

Nice sheild
I got the silver mirrored one. It is much lighter than the HJC brand. Still too dark to wear at night. No anti fogging so you will need to crack it open on the cooler days. Fits great and seals better than my old helmet.

I have been on two rides since buying the Icon Light Smoke Shield. It is really nice not having to wear sunglasses under my clear shield. The tint is not too dark, yet keeps the sun out even in Southern California! This shield is fog free and has had no fogging when riding, even in the morning when my sunglasses would get so fogged I would have to take them off. Unfortunately, the tint is just painted on. It has already started to peel on the edges and my helmet just sits on the shelf when not in use. It has not been banged around. The shield does not mount flushly when I put it down like the original shield does. I have to force the sides down to get it too close all of the way. This is not too much of an issue though. All in all this is a good shield for the money. This is an excellent fog free sun shield. The finish is a bit cheap, but I think it will last at least one riding season.

We have ordered two of the light smoke, one was perfect and works great, the other came with five holes (two on each side, one in front). The holes whistle when going over 45mph. If you get one with holes, don't bother opening it, send it back asap. Also, we have silver, looks great/easy clean, but not anti-fog so couldn't wear it at night. We got an anti-fog insert, which distorts light, now our silver is useless.

Gold Bling Shield
This shield looks awesome on the helmet. Mine had a few spots missing but they were not directly in my line of sight. Be extremely careful cleaning buts off. I left a damp rag on mine ease the cleaning of dried bugs and the tinting came off along with the bugs. Won't buy this stlye again. Crappy.

Do not use any plastic polish ( I used maguires ) on this shield it eats the silver off and you end up with a clear shield (which is $15 less) other than that the shield was easy to replace and works fine.

I have a few ICON helmets. In the evening hours its a bit tough to make out the horizon because of the tint, but thats going into the sunset. For the most part, there is no squinting involved in my day ride. At nite, it makes my high beams on my 636 look like low beam... though i should be changing my shield at nite anyway. I just dont feel like carring an extra sheild for the change over! Love the ICON products, twisted ideas become twisted reality! Keep makin a great product!!!

The shield is great. I don't need sunglasses in the day which is great. It looks sweet on my helmet which is awesome. The only bad thing is when riding at night it is a little to dark for my liking. But a good pair of safety glasses can fix that up easy. Overall I think it's a great buy.

Great shield!
Works fine, and will probably last a long time. I'm not the most careful person with my face shield/helmet. So I'll have to admit that I've bumped into a few things, with both, and there are still no scratches to report. I've had this face shield for around 3 - 4 weeks now. My only complaint is that, while it looks way cool having a mirrored shield, it's not such a good idea to use this if you plan on riding at night and are leaving the city limits (due to leaving the lit city streets). Over than that, in rain, fog and all comers, this shield is durable and should workout for a while. I like it, and would order it again, if I needed a new one.

Light Smoke Fog Free
AWSOME!!! Fits real snug just like the original clear. Fog free works perfect. Keeps me from having to wear sunglasses in my helmet when I ride. A little darker then anticipated but still light enough to use on overcast days. I put it on my Domain Decay and to my surprise; it dramatically increased the look of an already awesome helmet. The Icon tinted shield is a good quality product and it look's better than the original shield. This product may look a bit pricey but the quality justifies it. It can be mounted in 10 seconds and it doesn't fog, although in that case the helmet takes some credit for it because of the breath deflector!! Great buy.

Don't use any sort of cleaner (ie.windex) other than water and soap to clean the shield. It'll take the tint off in splotches. Some cloths will do it too. Rarely fogs with breath deflector.

I just got my dark smoke shield and it is awesome. I was debating if I should get the light smoke/anti fog or just get the dark smoke and I am glad I went with the dark. It only fogs up a little when you are stopped and looks awesome. Really easy to install and take off!

I have the blue shield and it is SICK!! Completely changes the look and attitude of the helmet. Fogs up when you're stopped but every shield does. My only complaint is that it's a little too dark at night. I live in the back-country and w/o the street lights your sight distance becomes limited.

This is awesome, I don't have to re-apply antifog compounds (which didn't last and weren't really that effective), any more. Shield stays clear even during heavy breathing in cooler weather. Well worth the few extra dollars.

Dark Smoke Shield
I love the look of the dark smoke on my Alliance Battlecry helmet during the day. It’s a tad bit too dark for night riding plus if it’s too cold outside it fogs up pretty easy. My advice, go with the light smoke/fog free shield, you’ll get the smoke look without blinding yourself.

Antifog versus not Antifog
The antifog replacement shield is really awesome. It has never fogged up and the tint is just right too. Its well worth the money to upgrade. The stock shield fogs up a lot more which is very noticeable, but once the air starts flowing through it clears up relatively quickly. I haven't used the regular as much as the antifog but they are both very easy to un/install.

This face-shield is way cool on my Icon flat black helmet. It works well in the sun with or without sunglasses & also at night. Haven't had any fogging problems but so far no foggy or cold weather test. My only gripe is that it is a hassle to remove the clear shield but no problem installing the new one. Light smoke shield
The light smoke shield is perfect for me, because I don't like to have to change my shield all the time. It’s dark enough that the sun doesn't bother me, but I can still get around at night if I want to. I wish I would have gotten the anti-fog version, because I have to leave the shield cracked open by 1 click, otherwise it fogs in about 15 seconds (again, south FL climate to blame). Fits snug to the helmet just like stock clear shield, does not leak air when closed.

The shield blocks the sun perfectly during the day, but I wouldn't recommend wearing it at night unless you have your brights on. It's tinted, so its more difficult to see at night then with the clear one of course. Other than that they are easy snap on and off design and came in perfect condition.

The sheild has great visability and clarity - that is when it's not fogging up. I would suggest the anti-fog version. This shield also leaks a bit more air than the clear one that comes with the helmet, but that's to be expected at times. It will not be an issue with Summer-time riding.

Review for Shield
The ICON ALLIANCE/MAINFRAME REPLACEMENT SHIELD came in great condition with no damage whatsoever. The only problem I see with the product is that it didn't come with instructions has to how to switch the shields or even just how to put it on. Other than that the product is fine and i will use you guys once again.
