I've had one of these on almost every helmet I've had for a long time. Love 'em. Stays nice and clear. They used to come with a nice template on the packing paper that you could tape on the outside, don't any more :(. But the shield stays clear and you can see without a frozen or wet face. Though they've gotten a little pricey for a little piece of plastic and some glue; for 25 bux, I may try some plastic and glue of my own next time.

Why didn't I buy this sooner!
I have been putting up with my Shoei helmet fogging for the past four years and decided to give these a try. The difference is amazing! Once installed there is zero fog and finally my vision is clear. Installation was easy, but be sure to get it right the first time, the glue is pretty good. The one thing bad that I do have to say is that at night there is a bit more glare from headlights than with just a visor with no insert. The glue line is a bit annoying at first but I got used to it pretty quickly. Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with a fogging problem.

First I will say that the product does work as it is stated in the description. I have a Shoei helmet and the fit wasn't the best. It covered 80 percent of the face shield but left a border that wasn't covered which let a lot of light through. This caused a reflection on the inside of the pro shield. Once you have installed the shield you cannot remove it without the adhesive being worthless. If you buy the smoke version it will dangerous to drive at night period. Get the clear version and that will take care of that.

I bought a 2nd one of these because I had to re-install my first one and thought I'd screwed up the seal. On my 2nd one, mounted up to a brand spankin' new faceshield, I find it commendably clear. I mounted it upside down, but it fit fine and I have less issue with on-coming traffic lights creating reflections at the upper edge (as was the case with my earlier installation). However, in our recent colder weather (low 40's) the shield does fog up, but with a fine condensation that is possible to see through, but still distorts. I'm wearing a balaclava and the Scorpion helmet has a small wind dam, so that probably keeps more breathe near the shield.

Great Product

Can't do without item
Since I ride all winter, I found that I was having issues with my visor fogging that required me to open it through most of the ride. When thermometers are registering 20 deg F or below, this is not a pleasant experience. I found out about Fog City a couple of years ago and started using it. After those years with the shield in place I had a hard time going back to no shield when it finally became too old to allow good vision, thus my current purchase. For anyone riding in the cold, this is a must-have accessory. It isn't even a luxury if you're trying to stay warm and don't want to crack the visor to defog it. Now if I could just get some Fog City for my glasses.

Fog City Clear Pro Shield
I bought the clear shield so I could put one on my clear visor for night riding and one on my tinted visor so it wouldn't make it any darker. All I have to say is wow. This thing is awesome. I constantly ride in 40 and lower and absolutely no fogging. I put a 4 in fit because they don't make an exact fit to my visor, it is a bit smaller, however, it is not distracting. I also put a 4 in durability because I ride to work in daylight and home in the dark, so I have to pack one of the visors either way, and if you are not careful you can twist or stretch the visor which messes with the pro shield. Other than that, if I ever get another visor or helmet, I will always get one of these babies!

The morning of Sept. 26, 2008, we were at the line staged and ready. At 7:30 the course opened. The morning air was cool so I was concerned about shield fogging, especially since I'm enclosed inside the cockpit of the Ack Attack streamliner. There's very little air movement inside. I installed the shield and had no worries of fogging. The product does a great job on this end. I ran two runs over 360 mph, and couldn't afford vision problems and the Fog City Shield delivered in that regard.

Skeptical
I own an HJC AC-12 Carbon Elbowz which has excellent fog protection for a while then you have to figure out something else. I was quite skeptical about this product, especially after reading all the different reviews but after using it in freakin cold of Michigan I can say this product works exactly how they say it will work. It was very easy to install, just follow the directions and you will have no problems. I put the clear fog city piece on my tinted shield. You can tell you are not looking just through a shield but not enough to bother me. I highly recommend this product.

Cheap alternative to pinlock
I've used it for a week now and have decided to ditch it and switch to the pinlock system. Bought the smoke version, which is way too dark... even the brightest days felt like I was riding under looming thunderclouds it was so dark. The view is somewhat distorted/wavy as well, that combined with the darkness of the smoke shield makes it more difficult to distinguish fine points in the road surface as I'm taking curves/corners.

Fog Shield
The fog shield worked wonders. Do not have to open my shield at stop lights on hot or cold days due to fog. The only drawback is installation. When I first installed the fog shield, I did not realize it was mounted too low on the face shield (the sticker part of the fog shield was in my line of sight). I realized the problem when I was canyon riding. I guess this is only an issue on Arai helmets because of the shield vents. I corrected the problem half way through my ride by removing the fog shield and re-installing by moving the fog shield all the way up. By removing the fog shield and reinstalling, the shield is creased. I guess these fog shields are not designed to be removed.

Great fog protection
This shield provides great fog protection and the dark smoke does pretty well to cut the glare. I thought it was an easily removed shield. Not the case and now switching to the pinlock face shield and those fog shields to easily switch between smoke and clear for day and night riding.

Works great! Reduces fog to not much of a problem at all. Install instructions say to center on shield. Wrong! This resulted in position a little too low in my particular helmet, a Symax-II HJC. They offered another at 1/2 price so I could place properly but I opted instead for the new hyper shield clear. It is thicker, optically better than Proshield, has a neat install template (which was not in Proshield unit), and better install advice in instructions. Works same as Proshield...fantastic. It does crop your view a little and is a little distracting with the adhesive border, but it sure beats driving semi-blind in fogging conditions. MCSS doesn't stock this one yet , so I got direct from mfr.

Does the Job
Winter in New Orleans might be chilled to the bone due to humidity. So the fogging my shield happened very often. After I installed F.S. the problem technically disappeared. The disadvantages however exist. The view is no longer that clear like before (even if the difference is not that strong it still exists) and there are much more internal reflections then just a shield. Additionally the glue strip on which the F.S. is attached is pretty visible and is little annoying. Regardless, the insert does the job and mentioned disadvantages are just side effects. The ratio of everyday functionality: side effects is like 85:15.

Installing seemed a bit touchy. Marking layout with masking tape on the outside of the shield helped.
Works as advertised. No fogging. A bit of condensate collecting at the bottom but expected when using at temps below 30 F etc. Have no history to allow review on durability.

Fog City Pro Shiled - Is Your Head In A Fog!
I had read all kinds of reviews for all kinds of face shield anti-fog products. In them, lots of people would say they're great, while others would say they're terrible. Finally, I read a review about Fog City's Pro Shield. There were many lovers and only a few people who poo-pooed the product. So, I gave it a try. It worked!!! Bottom line - This is an excellent product. It does what it is supposed to do, prevent fog ups. There may be some minor issues, but all are acceptable, as long as I can see through my face shield.

Fog has always been a major challenge for me because I ride a lot in the cold. The Pro Shield has totally eliminated fogging for me. So now I'm riding much safer, and I'm a lot warmer since I no longer have to ride with my face shield cracked open.

I got the chrome insert and it's great because I no longer have to change my visor from day to night riding with the insert. It gives a nice shade in the sun and still quite able to see at night. Also you can barely see inside the helmet from the outside which I also like. I am not completely thrilled with the fit as I can see the ridge from the bottom and I don't like the adhesive as it looks sloppy from the outside. I thought that this was going to be something that I could take in and out instead of a permanent fixture.

I have used this shield in below 30 degree weather with no fogging whatsoever! Of course, it won't protect your sunglasses or internal visor, but I can see clearly and that is pretty cool.

Just get It!
I road two winter seasons saying to myself..... "I gotta get one!" I kept put'n it off, saying I was just going to get a helmet that comes with a fog free shield. I finally ordered one, and O.M.G. what a difference. No more riding with my shield slightly up. It’s only down side..... It doesn't fill out my whole shield. I can honestly say though, I would recommend this product to anyone. Get it!

Absolutely no fogging! I can't believe how well it works. Some very minor issues are a little moisture condenses into water drops at the bottom of the shield, far from my line of vision and the shield is not as clear as nothing, but it's not far off.

Well worth it, but not perfect.
I have a Nolan N61 Full face helmet. The visors come pre-set up for a Pinlock anti-fog insert. The Fog City advertises itself a compatible with Pinlock visors. Well, they don't conflict with the Pinlock studs, but they don't use them to position the insert either. I wish they did, it would be a great improvement.

I know my ratings weren't great but this really is a good product and a must have if you are a cold weather rider. Now the bad. Real hard to get strait. It is like a clear plastic with adhesive all around the perimeter. It says you can clean just like your visor but don't. The plastic is a lot softer and will scratch easy. Wash with soap and rinse then air dry when needed. It fits on the inside so it won't need much cleaning. On a side note, I would definitely buy one again. A must have for safety!!

I have these shields on all my lenses and they work as advertised. In combination with contact lenses, I have no fog issues at all with my Shoei helmets and I have not had any problems with distortions. Very easy to keep clean. I highly reccomend them.

Get the clear shield
I initially got the amber colored shield. It was easy to install and works as advertised to ward off fog - even in heavy fog and rain conditions outside. Take the visor off the helmet and read the directions and it is a cinch. I did NOT like the amber color. It altered the tint of oncoming lights and blocked enough light that I felt it wasn't safe to use at night (I commute). I ordered the clear visor (from another vendor - they don't seem to sell it from here) and it has worked very well.

I decided to try the Shoei Pin Lock system - way better! Clearer, easy to install and remove and re-install. Can be removed for the summer - and put back on in the winter. For those considering the Fog City , I would suggest considering Pin Lock.

This products works! Installed on a Shoei RF1000. However, I think there are some problems. It is NOT easy to install correctly but can be done if you are very careful. This wouldn't be such a problem if the shield was reusable - but it's not. I find the adhesive edge of the shield to be a distraction because of the way it spreads out on the edge. If it gets any dirt inside, you have to buy another one. I switched to pinlock shields and think they are a better solution.

If you install this product correctly, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it -- it's that good. That said, there are some downsides -- it scratches VERY easily; is sensitive to proper installation (make sure you don't catch any moisture in the air gap, and begin from the center out, avoiding the visor seal); and doesn't prevent ALL fogging -- when it's dumping rain outside and moisture has no place to go, it will haze. But I have them on all of my Shoei visors, and don't plan on ever not

Only reason I didn’t give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it doesn’t look great installed on the helmet as you can see where the glue is around the outside. But it’s purely a cosmetic issue. I feel much safer riding now.

This is the only way to ride on cold days. It absolutely will not fog. The first time I saw it on display that had a fog city protected shield and a regular shield held above room humidifiers and the fog city shield was perfectly clear. After that, I knew I had to try it and I couldn't be happier. Motorcycle superstore has the best price too!

I recently purchased the clear pro-shield for my Shoei RF-1000 helmet. I must say that when I received the product and installed it I was not very impressed. The installation was quite cumbersome and took some time. But once installed the performance of the product was amazing. I rode in the morning under moderate fog and did not experience any fogging of my shield. Truly an excellent performing product. I highly recommend this to anyone with fogging issues in their helmets.

The 1st time I rode after installing the Pro Shield, it rained hella hard. This anti-fog shield saved my life. If you guys ride in the cold and rain, you know how easy it is to have your face shield fog up on you. Before getting the Pro Shield, I had to re-apply the Fog-X anti-fog fluid to my shield at least once a week. That was a pain in the a**. It's really worth the money. Only 1 downfall: be careful when cleaning it. It's very soft and will scratch easily. I had a stubborn spot on

Fog City shields are inexpensive and work well. Other than the fact that they're a little difficult to install, they're the best solution to fogging on inexpensive or obsolete helmets. I really like my Z1R "Strike Blade" but the manufacturer doesn't offer precoated shields.

Works really well and instructions are clear although at first you think the liner is the thin material instead of the thick plastic piece. Works really well, but could use better adhesive material/glue. Easy installation and prevents fogging. Only thing I noticed was that if you have a runny nose some of the moisture will adhese to the face shield. It doesn't fog but gets a little blurry untill speeds rise. Great product and I would definitely buy again.
