I know my ratings weren't great but this really is a good product and a must have if you are a cold weather rider. Now the bad. Real hard to get strait. It is like a clear plastic with adhesive all around the perimeter. It says you can clean just like your visor but don't. The plastic is a lot softer and will scratch easy. Wash with soap and rinse then air dry when needed. It fits on the inside so it won't need much cleaning. On a side note, I would definitely buy one again. A must have for safety!!

Fog City is great!
These shield inserts are terrific. They are easy to apply and they fit very well. They work, reducing fogging to almost nothing. I really like them, and highly recommend.

I have these shields on all my lenses and they work as advertised. In combination with contact lenses, I have no fog issues at all with my Shoei helmets and I have not had any problems with distortions. Very easy to keep clean. I highly reccomend them.

Get the clear shield
I initially got the amber colored shield. It was easy to install and works as advertised to ward off fog - even in heavy fog and rain conditions outside. Take the visor off the helmet and read the directions and it is a cinch. I did NOT like the amber color. It altered the tint of oncoming lights and blocked enough light that I felt it wasn't safe to use at night (I commute). I ordered the clear visor (from another vendor - they don't seem to sell it from here) and it has worked very well.

Fog City Pro shield - 2nd review
I decided to try the Shoei Pin Lock system - way better! Clearer, easy to install and remove and re-install. Can be removed for the summer - and put back on in the winter. For those considering the Fog City , I would suggest considering Pin Lock.

I've been using Fog City products for 10+ years. I won't ride on cold and damp days without the product. A minor pain in the a** to install, but well worth the trouble.

This products works! Installed on a Shoei RF1000. However, I think there are some problems. It is NOT easy to install correctly but can be done if you are very careful. This wouldn't be such a problem if the shield was reusable - but it's not. I find the adhesive edge of the shield to be a distraction because of the way it spreads out on the edge. If it gets any dirt inside, you have to buy another one. I switched to pinlock shields and think they are a better solution.

If you install this product correctly, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it -- it's that good. That said, there are some downsides -- it scratches VERY easily; is sensitive to proper installation (make sure you don't catch any moisture in the air gap, and begin from the center out, avoiding the visor seal); and doesn't prevent ALL fogging -- when it's dumping rain outside and moisture has no place to go, it will haze. But I have them on all of my Shoei visors, and don't plan on ever not

Works very well, has not fogged yet even when I breathe hard to try and get it to fog up. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it doesn’t look great installed on the helmet as you can see where the glue is around the outside. But it’s purely a cosmetic issue. I feel much safer riding now.

This is the only way to ride on cold days. It absolutely will not fog. The first time I saw it on display that had a fog city protected shield and a regular shield held above room humidifiers and the fog city shield was perfectly clear. After that, I knew I had to try it and I couldn't be happier. Motorcycle superstore has the best price too!

Pro Shield Review
I recently purchased the clear pro-shield for my Shoei RF-1000 helmet. I must say that when I received the product and installed it I was not very impressed. The installation was quite cumbersome and took some time. But once installed the performance of the product was amazing. I rode in the morning under moderate fog and did not experience any fogging of my shield. Truly an excellent performing product. I highly recommend this to anyone with fogging issues in their helmets.

The 1st time I rode after installing the Pro Shield, it rained hella hard. This anti-fog shield saved my life. If you guys ride in the cold and rain, you know how easy it is to have your face shield fog up on you. Before getting the Pro Shield, I had to re-apply the Fog-X anti-fog fluid to my shield at least once a week. That was a pain in the a**. It's really worth the money. Only 1 downfall: be careful when cleaning it. It's very soft and will scratch easily. I had a stubborn spot on

This is simply the best anti-fog product you can buy. Installation instructions are very easy. Fog City will protect you even on those cold 30 degree days.

Fog City shields are inexpensive and work well. Other than the fact that they're a little difficult to install, they're the best solution to fogging on inexpensive or obsolete helmets. I really like my Z1R "Strike Blade" but the manufacturer doesn't offer precoated shields.

Works really well and instructions are clear although at first you think the liner is the thin material instead of the thick plastic piece. Works really well, but could use better adhesive material/glue. Easy installation and prevents fogging. Only thing I noticed was that if you have a runny nose some of the moisture will adhese to the face shield. It doesn't fog but gets a little blurry untill speeds rise. Great product and I would definitely buy again.
