This pinlock faceshield should comes with the appropriate snap in lens to ensure proper fit. The caution against riding with lens in place in the dark seems over-done as loss of vision is not detectable. No additional reflection and relief from fogging in cold air is very much appreciated, especially in night riding.
Love these pin lock shields.

Best ever. I ride in Florida and down here in the humidity these shields really are the best. Just wish Shoei would make this standard equipment.

I think these are great! I used to use a Fog City shield in my helmets, and they don't last more than a year - get scratched up. I can't get my lens to fog up! Now, the only drawback I see, and I've only had it a month now, is that it doesn't look easy to change in and out. I have a clear pinlock shield with a dark smoke lens and that won't do for the winter time when I ride to and from work in the dark. So, I will be buying another complete set - clear shield and clear lens.
BUYER BEWARE! DAYTIME USE ONLY!

If you are buying the Pinlock for night time riding, BEWARE. It is not advertised as such, but when you get the shield and inserts, they have disclaimers on them that they are for DAYTIME USE ONLY.
