Now that I have the correct insert for the standard Shoei face shield with pins, the fit is very secure and the anti-fog insert is effective. The face shield needs a dark tint across the top to cope with the low morning and evening sun. With this insert, that tint panel needs to be on the outside, more vulnerable to eventually drying out and flying off. Oops, there it goes...

I bought the Qwest just over a year ago and love it. This pin lock does just as advertised. Early morning fog is no longer an issue. I went w/the amber color and works from sunrise to after dark just fine.

The stock shield fogs up so easily I can't imagine not using a pinlock. I ride when it gets below freezing and it will absolutely not fog when installed and sealed properly.
