Mitch Seattle.,  WA Great for anti fog Seattle gets cold and damp when you ride year round. Before using the pinlock shield and insert I use to ride with my faceshield cracked so it wouldn't fog up. Or ride with the sheild closed then open it up at stop lights. I've tried many anti fog gadgets but find the pinlock anti fog shield and insert to be the best solution. Keeps my vision clear of fog. I would recommend this to anyone in a cool or damp climate who has trouble with their shield fogging up. Only drawback, and this is minor, because of the double lens I see a bit of double reflected headlights around the edges. This is easy to ignore when you have clear vision.

David Collegeville,  PA Pinlock insert I bought a pinlock insert for my HJC FS-15 helmet. Easy to install. In general it does keep the lens fog-free. I have some problems with the bottom middle of the pinlock coming unsealed from the helmet shield. Have to take the shield off and reinstall periodically. Inside the helmet smells like silicone or rubber. Not sure if that will fade over time.

James Fairfax,  VA Works for about 25 minutes I can deal with fog and I can deal with rain, but I can't deal with them both at the same time. I ordered a pinlock lens for my HJC helmet and gave it a try out this week in some chilly 60 minute rain rides. At 30 mph+ I stayed completely fog free, but after about 25 minutes in bumper-to-bumper traffic, I noticed the pinlock lens was starting to get very hazy. When our speed picked back up, I noticed the lens wasn't clearing at all. After parking the bike at work, I checked the lens and found that the entire inside was coated in water vapor. Repeat rides with a higher average speed haven't shown the same condensation problem, so I'd rate these as a good but not perfect solution for fogging. I should also note that the ghosting problem with the pinlock lenses at night is pretty bad at times. With a mass of head and taillights around you, you'll see ghosted lights all over your view so I'd suggest not using pinlock lenses at night.

Paul Lang Washingtonville,  NY Pinlock Anti-Fog Lens HJC had a promotion where they would send you a Pinlock lens with the purchase of a FS-15 helmet. I got the amber with my helmet, not knowing about the promotion. These things are just as advertised! They really work. I could see fog above the Pinlock lens but it was all clear as you looked through the lens. I couldn't find addition tints anywhere including HJC dealers, this site has them all.
